The Space
This fully equipped luxury home and garden offers 24/7 concierge service, an infinity pool, and breathtaking ocean views. Managed by Esteban at Paradise Management, it is ideally suited for couples or families. The property includes two queen beds and two single bunk beds.
The house is situated on a hill above Hatillo, providing spectacular views of Playa Guapil to the south and Manuel Antonio National Park to the north. Despite its proximity to the village, the home feels completely secluded.
Inside, you will find a bright and spacious open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen and access to a guest bathroom. The front of the house opens onto a patio and pool area. Guests are welcome to enjoy a variety of books and board games available on site. There is also a movable desk with a 4K monitor that can be positioned anywhere in the house.
The master bedroom features tall glass windows that frame stunning views of the landscape and rainforest. At night, with the curtains open, you can gaze at the stars and occasionally see lightning over the sea. This bedroom includes an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower.
On the opposite side of the house is the second bedroom, which has tall glass windows and a king-sized bed. The third bedroom is perfect for children and contains a double bunk bed. These two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom equipped with a rain shower.
A laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer is accessible from the driveway.
Note: A four-wheel-drive vehicle is required to access this property without exception.
Guest Access
Guests have full use of the entire house, pool, and gardens. The property is located within a secure, gated community. Visitors will receive a remote clicker to open the gate to the Vista Azul estate, which functions even during power outages.
From the gate, there is a 1-kilometer private road leading to the house:
- The first 700 meters consist of a flat gravel road.
- The next 100 meters involve a 30-degree incline.
- The final 200 meters is a steep concrete road up to the property.
While driving to the house is possible without a four-wheel-drive vehicle, those unfamiliar with Costa Rican roads may prefer one, especially during the rainy season.
Location
The home is conveniently close to popular beaches, waterfalls, and other local attractions. It is near Dominical, Uvita, and Quepos, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.

Gardens and Wildlife
The property is surrounded by jungle, part of which has been transformed into lush gardens. At the end of the driveway stands a large Guanacaste tree facing south. The south side of the garden transitions into jungle that extends from a ravine to the top of the property.
The lower hillside garden features terraces planted with climbers, palms, tree ferns, giant ferns, and other ornamental plants. The upper hillside garden includes flowering trees but is still under development.
Around the pool, you will find various palms and sun-loving orchids such as Vandas, along with large bromeliads. Near the bedrooms, unusual bromeliads, palms, ferns, and gingers add to the tropical atmosphere. Beyond the lawn, Heliconias, gingers, and other native plants attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
Wildlife frequently seen around the house includes:
- Birds such as Great Kiskadee, Yellow-throated Toucan, Black Vultures, Eagles, and Green Parrots
- Hummingbirds attracted by garden plants
- A family of Capuchin monkeys living in the upper part of the property, occasionally visible from the driveway and rarely near the house
- Other mammals like Variegated Squirrels and Northern Tamanduas (lesser anteaters)

Our second stay here, we love this location. Amazing views, beautiful home, infinity pool overlooks the ocean. This home is easily accessible, very private and quiet, close to playa Linda a wonderful beach. 10 minutes to Dominican highly recommend.

Beautiful home, very serene. Easy check in and as described. My tips: 1) bring a sleep mask, there are large windows in the main bedrooms. They are lovely, but you might find yourself woken up by the sun. 2) They aren't kidding that you need 4x4. A vehicle with 4x4 and tall clearance is even better. 3) It is a bit of a haul to Manuel Antonio..so just plan your time appropriately.

This was our second visit to Villa Vista Azul. This home has become our “home away from home”. We are already planning another stay! I’m telling you, the pictures literally don’t do it justice (and they’re incredible photos). This home is situated JUST PERFECTLY for incredible views, absolute privacy, and wonderful exposure. There is wildlife all around and the manicured gardens/lawn is pristine. Lars and Paul are incredible hosts and we always look forward to staying at their place. I love to cook, so we mostly do that while we stay in Costa Rica, and the nearly remodeled kitchen is well equipped and beautiful. If you don’t cook, Dominical, Uvita, and Hatillo have wonderful restaurants. Thank you Oscar as always for being an incredible consierge, you are truly an asset. Thank you Lars and Paul, we look forward to coming back next year and enjoying your BEAUTIFUL home.

I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience at Lars and Paul's paridisical locale! They were totally lovely, reaching out immediately after we booked. And Oscar was the best support we could ask for, with a friendly demeanor and excellent and thoughtful recomendations. And the place! We are talking about a cartoonishly beautiful spot with lovely bedrooms, an excellent kitchen, a wonderful pool, and a phenomenal view! The drive up was not too taxing -- made the trip even more exciting! And the location, right by Dominical, was totally perfect for us. I only hope we get to stay again!

Our family of 3 stayed here for one week and had the most amazing experience of pure beauty surrounding us in every direction we looked. We especially loved the views from the outside patio and the bedrooms since the bedrooms were all glass from top to bottom to catch every sunrise and sunset Costa Rica had on a daily basis! The kitchen was fully stocked and bathrooms were very clean and spacious. Oscar our concierge host was very communicative every day which made our stay more pleasurable since we did have questions that he was able to respond to right away. We recommend villa vista Azul 10 out of 10! Pura vida to Lars, Paul and Oscar for such a wonderful stay!!!!

Wow!!! This place is stunning. The view is gorgeous, the pool warm and refreshing, floor to ceiling windows. It's quiet and peaceful and yet not far from Dominical and Uvita. You need a 4x4 to get up the mountain. Our favorite villa to date! Don't hesitate to book it. We will be back :)

This is a beautiful home if you are looking for a base near Dominical. The location is very private and you simply cannot beat the pool and the peacefulness of spending time outside. The birds were outstanding each morning - no better way to spend your time sipping coffee and enjoying the sunrise.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lars and Paul’s place! The house and the view are even better than the photos. The pool is amazing. The air conditioning works great and made for very comfortable sleeping. The location was perfect for us, very close to all of the activities and beaches we wanted to explore but still very private and peaceful — it felt like our own little paradise. The communication was excellent. We had an issue with one of the air conditioners and Oscar, the concierge, had someone there within the hour to fix it. Throughout the week, he also regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay. As with any place, there is room for a couple of very small improvements (better seating by the pool, for example) but we’d stay again and again just as it is. Highly, highly recommend!!
