We had an amazing, relaxing stay. The house is beautiful, with comfortable bedrooms and nice open common areas to hang out as a group. The view from the house is unbeatable. Beach access is a little rocky but once you’re down there it’s lovely and very secluded.

We had a wonderful time, never tired of the spectacular view, saw whales 3 of the 4 days even baby humpback. Great house for family, lots of separate spaces, although bedroom setup a little different. Well setup to cook ourselves and great restaurant nearby. We will go back for sure

My family and I had an absolutely magical stay at Rancho de Linda! We used one of the fishing charters Douglass recommended and had Mauricio cook it for us! He made one of the best meals I've ever eaten for us. We also had Yojiety come for massages and she was another highlight of the trip. His housekeeper, Linda was a Godsend for this mom of three young kids!

Great spot. Very private. Not hard to drive to and fro to explore the area.

STOP! Read This Before Booking. The only reason this property receives higher reviews is because of its beach access and backyard view—nothing else. The Not-So-Great: The home is outdated and in need of major repairs. Only 2 of the 4 AC units work, and those are old and inefficient. The mattresses are worn-out spring types—uncomfortable, especially if you have back or neck issues. There is a strong mildew/mold odor that makes the air unpleasant and, in my opinion, unhealthy to breathe. Internet never worked during our stay. Other reviews note it is slow and cuts in and out when it does connect. No TVs in the home. Laundry room was dirty, with signs of dry rot, and in need of updating. The Positives: Private beach access, which you get entirely to yourself. Beautiful backyard—perfect for relaxing, reading, napping, or simply taking in the beauty of creation. This was truly the highlight of the stay. App for home access, you only get it upon arrival. WE LEFT! Wasnt worth it!!

Absolutely stunning! We(family of 3) have traveled to CR for the last 10yrs and Douglas's home has been our favorite. Beautiful views and beautiful home. The location is convenient to everything you need with a car. We hope to return! Thank you to Douglas and his staff for a chill vacation. Much love from Memphis!

The view is jaw-dropping and never gets old, sitting on top of the bluff with the surf pounding the rocks below. I slept so soundly every night! The roads in are Costa Rica rugged, if you are unaccustomed I do not recommend you come in after dark as we did (in the rain) but Douglas met us at the door and was extremely accommodating and responsive the whole trip. The beach is a explorer's paradise with tide pools and wildlife abundant. The waves were up when we visited so we did our swimming in the lovely infinity pool. The stair down to the beach would be challenging for some, especially as you dodge the carpet of hermit crabs! We found great local food nearby (Pitahaya) and took the 40+ min drive to Nosara a few times for activities and high-end eats. Note that the main living/dining room (with the killer views) is not air conditioned, which some days meant just playing cards shirtless with the doors open, but other days we had to retreat to the bedrooms to recover.

Our family had just a fantastic time at this beautiful home and area. A few things to know —the beach just to the north is excellent for Boogie boarding. I rented great boards from local Mauricio for a reasonable price. Boarding is how we spent our days. Ostional Beach where OR turtles lay their eggs is literally just down the road. We toured and saw turtles at night with local Gredy. There is a small town, Marbella, close by with a couple of grocery stores. : )
