Mariposa Blanca is a brand new large modern beach house located directly on the beautiful Las Lajas Beach. This is a whole house rental. The space Our home, La Mariposa Blanca, is a spacious three bedroom beach front house. It features a unique plan by an award winning Panamanian architect with a passion for modern design . Please note there is a four night minimum stay. We do not approve shorter durations. The home includes a large infinity pool, and a private access to the spectacular 14km long Las Lajas beach. La Mariposa Blanca features a fully equipped interior kitchen as well as an out-door kitchen / BBQ area, a huge upper balcony as well as a lower pool deck and covered terrace with dining and lounging areas. All three bedrooms and the great room feature air conditioning and overhead fans and fans are also installed on the lower covered terrace. The ten person dining table as well as the beds, desktop and accent furniture were created by a Panamanian craftsman from local tropical hard wood. ## The Space

Mariposa Blanca is a newly built, spacious modern beach house situated directly on the stunning Las Lajas Beach. This rental includes the entire house.

The residence, La Mariposa Blanca, offers three roomy bedrooms and boasts a distinctive design crafted by an award-winning Panamanian architect known for modern aesthetics. Please note that there is a minimum stay requirement of four nights; shorter stays are not permitted.

The property features a large infinity pool and private access to the breathtaking 14-kilometer stretch of Las Lajas Beach.

Inside, the home includes a fully equipped kitchen, complemented by an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. There is a vast upper balcony, a lower pool deck, and a covered terrace furnished with dining and lounging spaces.

All three bedrooms, as well as the great room, are equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans. Fans are also installed on the lower covered terrace for added comfort.

The dining table seats ten and, along with the beds, desk, and accent furniture, was handcrafted by a Panamanian artisan using local tropical hardwood.

Beautiful place! Spacious rooms, very well equipped kitchen, nice pool and a short walk to the beach... Definitely worth it and perfect for our family vacation. Can't wait to come back!

The house was stunning, all the pictures match perfectly with the description. It was spotless when we arrived, and the manager Maria was really welcoming. The kitchen was really great, it had everything and more you could think of to cook. The sofa was super cozy, also each guest had a comfortable time in their rooms/bathrooms. There was a slight issue with bugs on the daily, but we were able to remove them. We enjoyed the house’s amenities, the pool was a great size and clean. The trail towards the beach was clean, and we were able to enjoy the beach with caution (Since it has strong waves). Overall it was a great place to stay at!

We had a wonderful stay at Mariposa Blanca. When the surf was too rough to play at the beach, we swam in the beautiful pool. All the beach accessories we could need at the house. The kitchen had all the utensils and tools we needed and more! The beds were comfortable and the location is so beautiful and peaceful. The covered patio allowed us to use the outside space whether it was sunny or raining. The road in isn't in tge best repair but the directions we received before arriving helped us get there easily. We hope to visit again!

Beautiful modern home. Big rooms and very spacious and very clean. Wonderfully greeted by Maria who was so nice! Pool is incredible and the beach is awesome. House is very well equipped with beach apparel. Place is remotely located and is very quiet. Make sure you get your groceries on your way in and you are good to have a wonderful stay! Would return in a heartbeat!!!

We had the most wonderful and relaxing time at Penny's place it was more than I expected. Beautiful clean home, beautiful pool, great beach, and never needed anything that was not in this home. Great value for money and I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone who asks me. definitely world class accommodation.

What an amazing house and location. It exceeded my expectations BUT it is in the middle of nowhere. So you need to plan for that and be OK with that also. Either stock up on all the food you need in David before driving to Las Lajas or plan to use the chef menu that is available. I wish I had planned for them to cook for us more so I do advise to use the menu available for at least one or two (or all) meals. The management team was AMAZING and always so helpful and kind. We made a new friend there for sure. Thank you Maria and Mike!! The beach is out of a dream. The house is newer and modern. We had a few kinks with the house but nothing that would cause me to change my rating. Comfortable beds. Chef's kitchen with everything you could need. Beach toys for my daughter. Boogie boards to ride the waves. We will definitely return!! For many years to come! Thank you for allowing us the blessing of staying in your home. Much appreciated!!

It was our second stay at Casa Mariposa. Maria and her friends from the management team take great care of the house and the guests. The contact has always worked out well. A good handbook will be provided about the house, where there is all the necessary information. The house is very private and is located at the end of the village. You are almost always alone on the beach. The two cute cats that live outside have always accompanied us. We ordered food twice from offered menu. The food was excellent and the portions sufficient. Maria and the chef, brought us the finished food at the desired time. We were absolutely satisfied and were fed up. If you prefer to cook for yourself, find a well equipped kitchen. For the beach and for the pool, everything is available, towels, mats, water toys, swimming boards, etc. The pool is pleasantly warm. But the ocean is also nice and warm and at low tide the beach is very wide. Thank you so much, we'll be back

Es war unser zweiter Aufenthalt in Casa Mariposa. Maria und ihre Freunde vom Management-Team kümmern sich sehr gut um das Haus und um die Gäste. Der Kontakt hat immer gut funktioniert. Es wird ein gutes Handbuch über das Haus zur Verfügung gestellt, wo alle nötigen Informationen stehen. Das Haus ist sehr privat und liegt am Ende des Dorfes. Am Strand ist man fast immer alleine. Die zwei süßen Katzen, die draussen leben, haben uns immer begleitet. Wir haben zwei mal von angebotenen Menü Essen bestellt. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und die Portionen ausreichend. Maria und die Köchin, haben uns das fertige Essen zur gewünschten Zeit mitgebracht. Wir waren absolut zufrieden und wurden satt. Wer lieber selbst kocht, finder eine gut ausgestattete Küche. Für den Strand und für den Pool ist alles vorhanden, Handtücher, Matten, Wasserspielzeug, Schwimmbretter, usw. Der Pool ist angenehm warm. Der Ozean ist aber auch schön warm und bei Ebbe ist der Strand sehr breit.Vielen Dank, wir kommen wieder

Beautiful house on a beautiful beach.  This is a well-designed house with both wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. Great kitchen with everything you need to make just about anything you want. The pool was a nice feature and especially during high tide. I really appreciated the working space upstairs because I had an online class the entire week we were there. We loved all of the games and places to relax on the patio. It’s a very quiet area and if you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is your place. But, just like anywhere in Panama, the chitras can be annoying, bring some bug spray.

Great place, attention to detail with kitchen and other amenities. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property manager was really great and dual-hatted as our  chef, suggested and created two very memorable dinners. Highest recommendations.

We had days of rest and disconnection in the Mariposa Blanca. It is a beautiful house, ideal for families with plans of absolute rest and wanting to self-isolate. It's in the deepest part of a fishing village. The only attraction of being there, at least at this time, is the house and everything that can be done inside it. The surroundings have other houses and is 20 minutes from the town square, by car, preferably high because the path is cobblestone. The pool and the super conditioned kitchen are their biggest draw. The beach at this time (November) is not ideal for bathing. Very dirty and high waves. They should check how the internet works properly with the Host, before traveling, if this is an important aspect to the guest. In our case it was only operational in one area of the house.

Tuvimos días de descanso y desconexión en la Mariposa Blanca. Es una casa bonita, ideal para familias con planes de descanso absoluto y con ganas de aislarse. Está en la parte más profunda de un pueblo pesquero. El único atractivo de estar allí, al menos en esta época, es la casa y todo lo que se logre hacer dentro de ella. Los alrededores tienen otras casas y está a 20 minutos de la plaza del pueblo, en carro, preferiblemente alto porque el camino está empedrado. La piscina y la cocina súper acondicionada son su mayor atractivo. La playa en esta época (noviembre) no está idónea para bañarse. Muy sucia y alto oleaje. Deben chequear el adecuado funcionamiento de internet con el Host, antes de viajar, si este es un aspecto importante para el huésped. En nuestro caso estaba operativo solo en un area de la casa.

This house is spectacular! The place that is located is wonderfull right next to the beach with an amazing view. All the details in the house are perfect, how well equiped it is, the quality of the construction, perfect internet, etc. Everything, specially the deck/pool area, are better than how they look in the pictures. Also the manager of the house is a great house that can help you with whatever you need from arriving there to tips on local restaurants and places to visit. The only reason we are not giving 5 starts is because the BBQ was not working (check that in advance) and with this spectacular deck/pool area for us the BBQ is must. We hope to come back.

Casa Mariposa is amazing. A beautiful, spacious house with a lovely pool footsteps from the beach. The house leaves you wanting nothing. Seriously the most well equipped place we’ve ever rented. We love to cook and the kitchen is decked out with everything you could think of. Bring whatever you need as access in and out is not easy but once you are there you’ll never want to leave. Penny was very responsive before we got there and Omer and Thomas helped with any concerns we had.  They are all very friendly. It’s a wonderful place to go a disconnect from the world (although you do have internet access so not so disconnected). We’ll be back!
