The Space

Perched atop a mountain, this remarkable five-bedroom home offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the valley stretching all the way to Hermosa Beach and beyond. The property includes a private garden teeming with wildlife, vibrant tropical plants, and mature trees that serve as a habitat for wild birds and white-faced monkeys. These animals provide a natural soundtrack to your mornings, while pristine sunsets dominate the evenings. Privacy is always a priority here.

Most areas around the property provide stunning views of the lush Costa Rican rainforest. The infinity swimming pool offers panoramic jungle vistas along with a full ocean view, perfect for enjoying spectacular sunsets. Following Costa Rican tradition, the home features ample outdoor living spaces equipped with a barbecue, pool lounge chairs, and plenty of comfortable seating for relaxation.

The modern, open-concept kitchen at Monkey Manor is ideal for preparing gourmet meals. It includes a large wooden dining table with hanging lamps, stainless steel appliances such as a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, ice maker, dishwasher, and blender. All necessary cutlery and kitchen tools are provided to create delicious meals throughout your stay. This area also has a big-screen TV and ample space to lounge and unwind.

Bedrooms and Common Areas

Each of the five bedrooms is uniquely decorated with meticulous attention to detail.

• Master Bedroom
  Features a luxurious king-size bed with beautiful ocean views. It includes a sitting area with large, comfortable sofas, air conditioning, a big-screen TV, a private bathroom, and its own full kitchen and dining area. Large sliding glass doors open to reveal spectacular views of the pool, jungle, and ocean.

• Second Bedroom ("Game Room")
  A spacious room with a queen-size bed, queen bunk beds, and a full day bed. It has a private bathroom, bar area, high-top table, foosball table, big-screen TV, and a variety of board games for entertainment. Sliding glass doors lead to an outdoor sitting area overlooking the pool, jungle, and ocean.

• Third Bedroom ("Jaguar Suite")
  Located on the opposite side of the kitchen and common areas, this room offers a queen-size canopy bed, a large private bathroom, air conditioning, and sliding glass doors that open to an outdoor lounge with views of the pool, jungle, and ocean.

• Fourth and Fifth Bedrooms (Casitas)
  Situated at the back of the house and accessible via a wooden deck surrounded by wildlife and jungle.

  1. Lower Casita
     Features floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a king-size bed, a cozy sitting area, mini fridge, private bathroom, and an outdoor deck where you can enjoy the sounds of nature in complete privacy.

  2. Upper Casita
     Accessible by a private entrance through the back and located up a flight of stairs, this secluded bedroom has its own balcony with ocean and jungle views. It includes a queen-size bed, private bathroom, air conditioning, closet space, mini fridge, and a laptop-friendly workspace.

All bathrooms are stocked with essentials such as towels, face washcloths, and environmentally friendly soap.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire house except for one storage room and the laundry room. A complimentary full-time housekeeper is available Monday through Saturday to maintain common areas. Room cleaning and laundry assistance are provided upon request at no additional charge.

Other Things to Note

There is a high likelihood of encountering packs of white-faced monkeys around the house. These animals are harmless and may be fed fruit if you wish.
