The Space
This beachfront home sits 30 feet above a secluded sandy beach and is designed to make the most of the ocean views and fresh tropical breezes. At its center is an enormous, 50-foot-diameter open-air rancho perched above the ocean, along with a new pool overlooking the surf.
A private staircase leads down to the beach and nearby tide pools. Volcanic outcroppings just offshore create a natural breakwater and form several pools suitable for soaking.
The rancho offers a peaceful setting for relaxing with family and friends. Enjoy the ocean views from the hammocks, or prepare and share meals in the adjacent kitchen and custom-built dining area.
Bedrooms
The two-story sleeping structure next to the rancho and pool includes four spacious bedrooms. Each bedroom features:

- Ocean views
- Abundant ventilation
The upper-level bedrooms open onto a large veranda with hammocks and views of the sea.

The fully equipped kitchen includes:

Location
The home is located on the edge of the small fishing village of El Transito in León, 35 miles from Managua. The village offers:

Start and end each day with the sound of the surf, watch the sunsets, or unwind in a hammock surrounded by the sights and sounds of the ocean.
Guest Access
A rental car is recommended. A tour guide and airport transportation can also be arranged.

MarAzul is awesome. The house and the location were exactly as described, maybe even better. Loved walking down to the beach and spending time in the pool watching the sunset. Jenelle and Nelson, the caretaker, are very responsive and helpful. I’m already looking forward to our next trip to Nicaragua and to MarAzul.

Casa Marazul is an absolutely stunning place that surrounded by raw nature. With the sound of the ocean crashing on the rocks at night and zero light pollution to see the stars over the ocean is incredible. The property caretaker on site is a wonderful man and keeps the place spotless. The Pool was cleaned daily. I would 100% recommend this location to anyone looking for peace and access to amazing surf just 7 min drive from the property.

Casa Marazul is the perfect spot for a family vacation! We had our 7 month old with us and the protected tide pools in front of the house were perfect for him. It was also super walkable to surfing and only about 20-25 minutes to walk into town. We loved the pool but wished there was an umbrella stand that could give a little bit of shade in the pool. The outdoor living area was so nice and the kitchen was well equipped. A previous review had said there was a small fridge and no freezer but that has been changed and the fridge and freezer were great! Nelson the property caretaker was super helpful and friendly. We enjoyed having him around. Hopefully we will be back!

Amazing house!! Great views, a clean and well kept place. I went with my family of 6 and we all enjoyed so much, and hoping to be back. Easy to get to, about 2 hr drive from Managua, instructions were very clear on how to get there. Roads seem to be in pretty good shape, no need for a 4x4 (has happened to me before) We were able to get shrimp and lobster from the Acopios and it was very affordable. Nelson was very helpful and always ready to help.

Muy bonita experiencia, casa Mar Azul sin lugar a dudas ofrece un ambiente limpio, agradable, cómodo y totalmente equipado, fuimos en familia y la pasamos muy bien, recomiendo totalmente el lugar. Nelson fue muy atento siempre presente para ayudar en lo que se necesita, Jenelle muchas gracias por permitirnos alojarnos en su casa, siempre respondiendo con prontitud las consultas.

Wow! gran casa y la atención de don Nelson fue maravillosa. Recomendaria en remodelaciones futuras poner techo en la piscina por el sol y adquirir un freezer. la refrigeradora es muy pequeña para familias grandes y conseguir hielo en el pueblo es un poco dificil. pero pasamos 4 días maravillos y Jennelle fue muy buena anfritriona. esperamos volver!
