The Space
Villa La Golondrina is a beautifully crafted Mexican beach villa that blends traditional design with modern architectural elements. The villa features sun-baked Saltillo floors, glossy Mexican tiles, a colorful kitchen, and garden-inspired bathrooms. Created with care by the owner and her architect, the design draws inspiration from classic Mexican haciendas.
The villa includes four spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Each bedroom has remote-controlled air conditioning units, while common areas are cooled by fans and open French doors that invite refreshing Caribbean breezes. The villa’s high ceilings, elegant brickwork, and original Mexican artwork add to its charm.
French doors in all four bedrooms open to a lush, private garden with a full-size swimming pool surrounded by tropical plants and tall palms, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience.
A favorite gathering spot is the breezy rooftop terrace, accessible via interior or exterior stairs. Guests can sunbathe during the day or enjoy cocktails in the evening while taking in ocean views.

The villa is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with no street traffic, offering a private PlayaCar address. It is just steps away from a white-sand beach and a 10-minute walk to La Quinta pedestrian thoroughfare (5th Avenue), where you will find numerous restaurants and shops.

Air Conditioning: The villa does not have central air conditioning, which is common in Playa del Carmen. The bedrooms are equipped with individual AC units, while common areas rely on fans and open doors for cooling. Guests planning to visit in late July or August should consider that summer temperatures can be quite hot. Summer rates are discounted accordingly.

What an amazing house! There was a bed/bath for each of us four couples, well stocked fun kitchen, luxurious pool. All in a very secure, private neighborhood only a few steps from the beach and a short 10 minute walk to lively La Quinta Avenida. (The pictures don't show a dining table for 8 and upgraded TVs.) What made it exceptional was Bruno, who was responsive to every question and arranged so much for us: groceries as we arrived; two women to prepare a taco buffet for us; drivers from the airport and for a day trip; and Roger for a fantastic tour of Chichen Itza and a cenote. Highly recommended...

We had an absolutely AMAZING stay! This was the perfect spot for a family vacation — we had 6 adults and one baby, and the house fit us all so comfortably. It was quiet, peaceful, and just steps from the beach. Honestly, it couldn’t have been better. Bruno, the property manager, went above and beyond for us — helping arrange airport transportation, grocery delivery, and making sure we had everything we needed. He made the whole trip so smooth and easy. The house itself is gorgeous. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, the bedrooms were spacious and thoughtfully laid out to give everyone privacy, and the common spaces were perfect for hanging out together. We were able to walk to most places, but getting in and out of the development can be a bit of a hike, so taxis definitely came in handy. This was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever. 100/10 — we will definitely be back! Couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

We had a fabulous stay at the Villa. It is a great place for a family vacation The location can’t be beat, just steps from the beach (even though the kids were happy to play in the pool). But really set this place apart was the attention and help of the property manager, Bruno. He helped us plan some in-house meal service (so delicious), excursions in the area and was there to answer any questions we had.

Words cannot describe how amazing this home is. Truly a wonderful and unique home that is steps away from the beach. My entire family loved the space and was deeply saddened we couldn’t stay longer! Secured area as it is located within a gated community. Short walk to get to the main parts of Playa del Carmen, but honestly we rarely wanted to leave the house or the amazing beach. Space is huge and had our group of 9 feeling like we were in luxurious but welcoming home. Bruno, the property manager, was really responsive and helped us out a lot with coordinating transportation. Highly recommend!!

Location is fantastic to the beach and very uniquely for the area, the home is very private. Use of the outdoor patio and pool was very comfortable with the family. Many other beautiful homes in the area have zero privacy. Home was comfortable and well appointed. We put the beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board and sand toys to good use and left a few more toys for the next guest too! We elected to add extra cleaning with Lucia who was fantastic and so hard working for us. We had chef services through the house recommendation and Chefs RivieraMaya worked hard to accommodate our schedule through the holidays. We had our lead Chef Andre who was fantastic but his team was equally wonderful. We had a variety of phenomenal meals rivaling any restaurants in our home area of San Francisco Bay Area and wonderful "home" or grandma's cooking feel as well. The house manager Bruno was second to none. Really pulled all the details together for us and was so very responsive. Wonderful home.
