The Space

Casa Piña is a unique four-bedroom, three-bathroom home nestled in the mountains above Carillo Beach. The villa spans four levels, each with large windows that invite ocean breezes and showcase spectacular views. The property includes a lovely pool surrounded by comfortable outdoor furniture, overlooking the jungle canopy, ocean, fruit orchard, and gardens.

The top-level master suite features a private balcony with some of the most impressive views you’ll find. It offers cozy seating for morning coffee and ample space for sunrise yoga or workouts. Guests have access to yoga mats and weights.

One level down are two Jack and Jill bedrooms sharing a full bathroom. One bedroom has a king-size bed with stunning views, while the other includes twin bunk beds and is stocked with books, games, and activities for children.

The main level houses the indoor living area and a fully equipped kitchen featuring stone countertops, custom hand-carved cabinetry, a pantry, and an indoor eating bar. Adjacent to the living room is the outdoor living area, known locally as the "rancho," which includes a BBQ, kitchenette, refrigerator, and dining space for eight. This is a favorite spot to unwind after dinner while watching monkeys play in the trees or parrots soar overhead.

Below the rancho is a separate guest suite with its own bathroom. This spacious room feels like a treehouse, with two walls of floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open completely to reveal stunning ocean, mountain, and jungle views. Screens allow you to immerse yourself in the natural sounds of the jungle for a true Costa Rican experience. A private coffee bar on the third terrace is perfect for enjoying a hot cup of Costa Rican coffee.

The interior design incorporates natural textures, Costa Rican hardwoods, and subtle color tones. High-quality mattresses, all-natural bamboo linens, and ceiling fans ensure restful nights. Ample closet space helps keep your belongings organized.

Sandra, one of the caretakers, provides weekly cleaning and ensures fresh linens and towels. Guests can also arrange á la carte meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—with a private chef. Additional in-house services include massage, yoga, and private chef experiences. The full-service staff is dedicated to making your vacation comfortable and memorable.

Location

Casa Piña is conveniently located about a two-hour drive from Liberia Airport (LIR) and four hours from San Jose Airport (SJO). The villa’s elevated position offers stunning views of the ocean and jungle while being just minutes from the beautiful Carillo Beach.

Guest Access

The villa is rented exclusively as a full property, ensuring your group has complete privacy. Weekly cleaning and pool and grounds maintenance are provided by staff. Private chef services are available upon request.

Important Information

• Turkish towels are provided for pool use, ultra-soft waffle towels for showers, and large beach towels for the beach.
• Rates are based on six guests. Additional guests over six incur a $50 per night fee. The maximum occupancy is eight guests.
• Pets and smoking are not permitted.
• This is a tropical jungle environment with insects, large moths, butterflies, cicadas, howler monkeys, and various birds. These natural elements contribute to the authentic Costa Rican experience.
• Bugs rarely enter indoors unless lights are left on after dark with doors or screens open.
• Due to stairs and balcony heights, the home is not suitable for children under six or guests with mobility challenges.
