This is a one of a kind experience that I cannot recommend enough. We had a group of four (two couple's in our late 20's) and the experience we had on Andrea's boat is not one we will ever experience. Andrea is such a warm, kind, unique person who had a flair for life and the cooking skills to go along with it. We were eating like royalty the entire time and Andrea's experience and connections in the area ensure that you get access to some of the freshest items the sea has to offer. We genuinely felt that Andrea wanted us to have a good time, and he often laid out multiple options on where we could go/what we could see and let us choose our own adventure. We sailed all over the place, saw incredible sights, and made incredible memories. He can also put on quite the musical show if the stars align and he's in the right mood! Just remember that you have to sing along.

Grazie!

Andrea arranged for the transportation from Panama City to the boat in San Blas. It was quite windy and the ocean was rough almost the whole time we were out (3 nights). Andrea knew where to find the protected anchorages to prevent any more seasickness than the initial sailing. Andrea gave me dramamine for the following days when we planned on sailing. The currents were a bit strong and so there wasn't a lot we could do as far as swimming & kayaking goes - I like swimming, but I'm not a strong swimmer. But We were able to do a lot of fishing & eating to make up for it. They have a sturdy dingy they were able to take us around in for trolling and to take us onto the islands. Andrea and his brother Fabio keep a very clean boat and were always ready to get us anything we needed. They kept us entertained in the evenings with pleasant conversations. Andrea is an excellent cook! We weren't able to have the lobster - he was very disappointed about that but the seas were to rough for the Guna to catch them. Instead he made us wonderful dishes, the highlight being Gnocchi with a garlic, herb & fish sauce (with fish we caught) accompanied with pan-fried fish (more fish we caught). I would highly recommend sailing with Andrea on the Micamale. It is a spacious, clean and beautiful boat with a great captain.

We had an amazing experience with Andrea on his boat Micamale. Andrea was a great host and made us feel home on his beautiful sailing boat. We enjoyed really much Andrea's cuisine, inspired by his italian culture. I never thought i would have the best lobster ever on a sailing boat, but this what Andrea is capable of. He also took us on the best spot for snorkling and overnight bivouac. Andrea knows how to get the best of San Blas archipel. I would definetely recomand to sail with Andrea and his young sailor assistant Naki. A lifetime memory.
