The Space
This luxurious and private two-suite apartment occupies the upper level of Villa Leonardo, situated right on the edge of Manuel Antonio National Park. Guests can enjoy the soothing sounds of the jungle, frequent wildlife visits, and direct access to a beautiful private pool area.
The apartment is ideal for a family or two couples. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and a private bathroom with a separate toilet. The second bedroom includes a queen-size bed, an additional single bed for a third guest, and its own private bathroom. An extra cot can be provided upon request.
The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your own meals, which can be savored in a lovely dining area. Private chef services are available for special occasions, offering options such as Italian cuisine, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals. Breakfast preparation can also be arranged for an additional fee. Grocery shopping services are offered to stock your fridge before arrival.

The apartment overlooks the stunning swimming pool area and the National Park. Multiple shaded spots on the balcony and around the pool provide perfect places to unwind, accompanied by the calming sounds of the jungle and ocean.
Please note there is a friendly dog on the property who does not enter the suite but enjoys greeting guests.

Really enjoyed our stay at Villa Leonardo! Everything was clean and working properly. The pool was amazing, it feels like you’re swimming in the jungle. It truly felt like an immersion into the rain forest. Katrin was responsive and helpful, referring us to local fishing guides who were both excellent, and she also sent us to an amazing waterfall hike in an area most tourist don’t know about. It was a challenge to find the location the first time, mostly because we weren’t able to get there before dark. Roads are quite steep in areas and a couple spots made us thankful for our 4WD rental car. Definitely recommend having that for traveling around here. Once we got to see the area in the daylight it was no trouble getting around. Highly recommend Katrin and Villa Leonardo!

We had a great stay at Katrin’s place! It was very clean. Large space with a great pool. We were able to see Howler Monkey’s and Capuchin’s right out the back deck. It felt very private. Katrin was helpful, friendly and respectful. A little tricky to get to but if you follow her instructions you will find it no problem! Thank you for a great stay!

Katrin was really nice and attentive, she met us in person, the stay was nice. Her backyard was beautiful and peaceful. We even got to see 3 different kinds of monkeys. I will totally recommend her place for your next trip.

Thank you for the beautiful stay. The pool was a great size, the house was antique and overall it was a beautiful home. Katrin was nice to help us book our rides from la fortuna and to the airport which we appreciated. One important factor to note is that you only have one floor of the house, which is the top apartment- as the host lives downstairs, in the bottom of the house, with a few dogs. The dogs didn’t bother us but they did bark and at one point came up the stairs briefly. Another factor to note is that the living room has screens as windows, so there is not much privacy as you can hear everything from the outside and there are no curtains. It can also feel a little dangerous, and some screens were loose so mosquitoes/bugs were coming in. We did experience a blackout and the power went out completely. The air bnb is high up the hills so some ubers made us walk to meet them.

A lovely location and a beautiful villa that was spotless upon my arrival. The pool is fantastic with lovely views of the trees and monkeys swinging through the canopy. Katrin is lovely and very helpful with organising trips and transport while respecting your privacy. I would definitely stay at Villa Leonardo again.

Villa Leonardo was everything we expected and more! it was clean it was lush and tropical. as soon as we checked in we saw a squirrel monkeys white face monkeys, howler monkeys, Scarlet macaws, every gecko you could dream of, iguanas, and frogs. My three children absolutely love the pool and all of the amenities provided. Katrin brought us freshly harvested fruit and had lists of recommendations and was willing to book anything that we wanted her to. The location was great. Access everything in quepos in about 10 minutes. I'm sure it is much more walkable without kids. but we had a rental car so we didn't need to walk anywhere

Katrin’s place was absolutely beautiful! The apartment is spacious, comfy and well equipped and it was amazing to see incredible wildlife like macaws, toucans, hummingbirds and howler monkeys from the lovely swimming pool in the garden. Katrin is a brilliant host, very attentive and quick to respond to a few queries we had. She kindly arranged a special wildlife tour for us with a local company and sent us on our way with freshly harvested fruit when we left. Highly recommended place to stay for anyone wishing to visit Manuel Antonio National Park or surrounding areas!

Katrin's place is so unique and charming and she is very nice. If you want a jungle experience with an awesome pool-this is the way to go. But beware, there are drawbacks. You can hear the monkeys before you see them, their monstrous howl starts at 4:45am. It's both incredible to be so close and jarring because it's so loud. My kids could not sleep past 5 a.m. Secondly, the power goes off unexpectedly and there is no generator or anyway to predict when it will come back on. This prevents you from making coffee, cooking, getting water from fridge, having A/C, etc. It happened both days we were there. You need a car for this property, there is not much within walking distance. The living room is just a screened in room, no windows on doors or windows so it is HOT. My kids loved the pool, it was a great way to end the long days out. We saw a frog on her property, a few small lizards inside and outside the house. A scorpion on the balcony 😅 and I'm sure more that that!
