This is in the top 10 of my 100+ stays. I’ve stayed in this building before, and the location is clearly great: tons of restaurants within walking distance, a nice lap pool, and convenient access to grocery stores, public transportation, and just about anything you could possibly need. The security staff/front desk/doormen are friendly and helpful. But this listing really stands out. It has a great vibe, is ultra clean, and includes many small details that make you feel at home. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Escalante.

This was my second stay at Gabriel’s place and although it was not as smooth or comfortable as my first stay it’s still a spot I would recommend. Gabriel was very proactive when it came to correcting the issues I came across this time around and was very accommodating. The staff were helpful and very friendly as well. The Airbnb is in a great spot, walkable area, Uber or bus. Restaurants are nearby and the mall is a short Uber ride away. This place has all the amenities listed as well.

I really liked staying at this apartment complex. I checked in with the security without issues and there are 24 hour security guards so I had not security concerns. A electronic security card is required to access the elevators and there are surveillance cameras in the elevators and public spaces. The apartment is fully equipped so cooking and doing laundry was hassle free. All amenities function flawlessly. I walked along the main road daily and felt relatively safe. The only issues I had has nothing to do with the apartment in particular. The train tracks ran close to the apartment and I think the train operators uses the horn excessively. I had to use an noise cancelling earplug to get any sleep after 5AM. Also the electricity went away twice during my one month stay. Because I work remotely, It would be fantastic if the apartment was equipped with a UPS backup that can power a laptop, the router and an emergency light for couple of hours. I fully recommend this apartment.

Address listed was incorrect. My uber took me to the wrong location, Gabriel does not have the name of the apartment building listed anywhere on the listing! I could not sleep all night because wind bangs against the window and makes a loud sound like someone is trying to brake into the apartment. The windows have a defect. 1/5 would not recommend!

The apartment, building and area are very convenient. For people who work from the apartment, the noise from the train is constant and from very early in the morning, it can be annoying. The use of the gym is by reservation only and the host has to be involved, which limits the freedom to use it at your convenience. Otherwise, everything was good.

2 of my favorites things about this Airbnb is the quality and location. You’re pretty close to everything such as restaurants, the San Pedro Mall, and the bars. It’s all walkable. All the appliances and amenities was modern. I highly recommend!

This place has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay (well equipped kitchen, washing machine) and is a 10-minute walk from the bustling Barrio Escalante neighbourhood and an approximate 30-minute walk from the San Jose city center. Somewhat noisy street and the neighbourhood train horns frequently and may be off-putting to some. Airbnb host is responsive but not personable or proactive. Overall good stay for two nights.

Beautiful building in a safe part of the city. City center is just a few minutes away by Uber/taxi. I generally walked, but that's not for everyone. The apartment itself was absolutely pristine and a very comfortable place to be for my visit.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was clean, tidy, well organized and had everything we needed and more! Also, it's a very short walk away from Barrio Escalante, which has multiple fun restaurants. Gabriel was very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend :)

Great apartment in great location. We quickly felt very comfortable.  The supermarket next door is great - so we were able to retreat comfortably after a busy day in the city and simmer something delicious. The amenities for this were very good. The security service always made us feel very safe.

Der Supermarkt nebenan ist toll - so konnten wir uns nach einem anstrengenden Tag in der Stadt gemütlich zurückziehen und etwas Leckeres köcheln. Die Ausstattung hierfür war sehr gut. Durch den Security-Service  haben wir uns auch stets sehr sicher gefühlt.

This was great overall, it was more than I expected if I ever come back to Costa Rica this may be the place I stay. Low price but the place look like I paid a lot for it.

Like the other reviews, I can say that this was... it was a pleasure to stay here. Gabriel responsive. I really liked the unit itself. The doormen were very nice. I often work when I travel and while I don't remember the precise velocity of the internet speed, it was more than sufficient for all of my work including zoom calls.

Had a quick tonight stay and it was perfect for my needs. Secured building, Close to downtown, San Pedro, Escalante (walking or Uber). Everything was clean and just like the pictures. I am a light sleeper and had no issues sleeping through my  weekend stay. I would highly recommend! Gabriel even let me check in an hour early with no issues.

I had a excellent stay at Gabriel’s place. The location is walkable which made it easy to navigate around with majority of necessities nearby including restaurants, grocery store and banks etc. I also felt very safe the entire time with it being gated and security 24hrs. The Airbnb itself was clean and is exactly as pictured with all the amenities you made need except for wash clothes and dry towels. This place does not have AC but don’t worry Gabriel has placed a very capable fan in the unit to make up for that. I didn’t get the best sleep due to the bed being a little too firm for my liking but it may be great for someone else. The view of the pool and overlooking the city is a beautiful sight but be aware the building over is in view as well. Overall, I really had a great stay, I would return to stay at Gabriel’s place and highly recommend it to others. :)

Loved the studio! Great views, comfy bed, large shower, etc. exactly as pictured. The building is also nice. Gym has the basic essentials to get a good pump in. Location is 5 min walk to some fabulous restaurants in the Barrio Escalante neighborhood - would highly recommended Isolina.

It was a great apartment close to Escalante (great food)! It was secure and clean with amazing amenities. I would stay here again!

The place was very neat and new looking. Everything was there that you might need. Great views from the balcony and windows. Felt secure at all times. Security was always on duty at the building. It was convenient to everything, supermarket, restaurants and the new 3 story mall.  Only problem was the street noise , train noise and parties on the weekends that last to late.

Second time staying here. It has been a great experience. Gabriel is very attentive and willing to help. We will definitely come back!

Great option in los yoses. I stayed in another apartment in the same building before, but Gabriel's apartment was more comfortable! The bedding was super soft and comfortable and the bathroom shower was glass. Additionally, Gabriel allowed us to enter Ap.

This is a great AirBandB. Small but well designed. Modern. Clean. Well supplied. Comfortable bed. Building has enjoyable outside pools for lounging and for swimming lengths, and a well equipped exercise room. High security. Location is terrific - close to eateries and bars and the University of Costa Rica. The host is very responsive and exceptionally helpful. This place is highly recommended.
