Some of the best sunsets in Costa Rica. The listing is a little confusing because the description of the beds doesn't match the photos provided. The house consists of 2 houses - main house and a small guest house. The main house has 3 bedrooms (2 king beds and 1 double) all with on-suite bathrooms and a separate half bath in the living area. The guest house has 2 bedrooms (1 king and one queen), a kitchenette, and 1 bathroom. The house is nice, but could use some minor cosmetic repairs. The neighborhood is great and the location is pristine. You can watch the sunset daily from the back porch. We had a large group and the tables only sat 7 people maximum. The pool is very small and the hot tub isn't heated. A/C units worked great. Overall, the house is pretty nice and is located in a great spot about 10 minutes from downtown Jaco.

Our stay in Playa Hermosa was fantastic. Everybody, including my wife and three kids, felt right at home as soon as we walked in the front door. They all congratulated me on my selection of Airbnb‘s. We only stayed for a few days, and wish we could stay longer. Our hosts were extremely helpful and the nearby community pool with bar and restaurant was super enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay on a beautiful beach in Costa Rica.

Family with 3 small kids and first time in Costa Rica. Mikes place was amazing! First off the beach is beautiful walkable and swimmable. The community is safe and welcoming! If you want to go to the community pool it’s less the 100 steps away and there is a swim up bar and restaurant. Amazing food and even better service. Yoyo was the first person we met. She runs the bar. She is so helpful and knowledgeable about local things to do. She speaks very good English and helps manage the home so she is right there when you need anything. I asked for wd40 and she handed it to me at the bar! She’s the absolute icing on the cake. We got to know the locals and their kids and every evening got to watch the sunsets with everyone. I can’t say enough good things about this location. The house has comfortable beds, great a/c, nicely set up kitchen and good WiFi. We will come back and we will also send all of our friends here for the best Costa Rican experience!!!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Hermosa Palms. The community is beautiful and really welcoming to families. The pool club was amazing for my 2 kids (4 and 1.5 yrs) since it was fun to swim and we could get drinks/food at the swim-up bar. The location was beautiful right near the beach (esp sunsets)! The house had great AC too. The reason I'm giving a 3 star review is because the house was quite rundown and didn't match the pictures (which are probably 5+ yrs old). This was frustrating when we were paying $1200+ per night to stay in a beautiful 5-bdr villa. Here are some of our concerns that we also shared w Mike. We hope the owner will fix for other families who come: -Photos/listing should better reflect there are 2 houses. The WIFI in back house didn't work well and we had to pay for daily hotspot passes to do zoom video calls -Furniture was old/stained -Peeling paint on multiple walls -ants/water damage in kitchen -large hole in patio -Old toilets w issues/smells

Mike is a great host! The house is right on the beach inside a gated community with a Club House where you can order delicious food! Definitely coming back next year to Hermosa Palms and renting one of the houses that Mike hosts!

Mike’s house in Costa Rica was amazing. Right on he beach- you can hear the sound of the waves and overall very serene relaxing environment. The house is very nice and we’ll maintained.
