Gorgeous Villas Right in Canaan de Rivas, Our Larger Villa has 3 double beds, and a single, a very nice bathroom, well-appointed kitchen, fridge, hot water and Wi-Fi. Ideal for family vacations or romantic getaways. a beautiful mountain cabin surrounded by the lush mountain greenery and right next to the river. * Meals can be arranged apart from Airbnb prices. For larger groups you might consider booking our second Villa as well - search: Quinta La Esmeralda, Villa II, Canaan de Rivas. The space Villa I is a large, open space, "Studio or Loft feel, with a fully equipped kitchen, a very nice private, well appointed bathroom / hot water, and beautiful and lush garden views... The kitchen has a fridge, stove top, toaster, coffee maker and all you need to prepare and enjoy meals. Pets are welcome but for pets we have an additional cleabning fee of 10$/day... It can get a little chilly at night, so slippers, Pajamas to sleep in and a cozy Hoodie are nice to bring along!!! Great Wi-Fi so bring a Blue Tooth Speaker or Head Phones to watch your streams on Tablet or laptop. Brett is an International Chef who has worked at some several High-End Fishing Resorts in Costa Rica, Alaska and Texas as well as, for many years at his own lodge on the Osa Peninsula, Hacienda Bahia Esmeralda... Guest access Great Bird Watching in rear of the property!!! Our guests can reach the Chirripó River, just down the road from us through a right of way we have access to.... The Butterfly Garden Dome is a 2 minute walk away and a shrt drive away you will find the famour trails fo the Chirripo National Park, Waterfall hikes, Hot springs and much more!! We really enjoyed Brett’s place. It was close to some very interesting places like the butterfly garden, local artisan cheese factory and cloud forest eco park. Not to Mention el Chirripó trail head. Brett plays some mean guitar and pet friendly place.

El lugar de Brett es muy lindo y cómodo, rodeado de naturaleza, ideal para descansar. Brett es súper amable, atento y siempre estuvo disponible para cualquier consulta. No llevábamos auto, pero pudimos movernos en Uber sin ningún problema. Sin duda, lo recomendaríamos ampliamente!!!

Brett connected us with this lovely town and we enjoyed his two adorable dogs. The weather was amazing and the coolnights- but not too cool -were lovely. We enjoyed the gardens on the property which included banana, lemon and orange trees. Great restaurants we could walk to. Brett was friendly and helpful. Will go back again!

Die Unterkunft ist modern und sauber. Vom kleinen Balkon aus kann man viele verschiedene Vogelarten beobachten. Brett ist zudem ein sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Er hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert.

Brett was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. He even offered to pick things up for us and drive us to the other side of town. This spot is super cozy and perfect for bird watching.

Brett’s place was fantastic and he is an incredible host. We stayed three nights with our 18 month old. His place was clean, comfortable, and safe, with a beautiful garden and seating area out back. It is close to everywhere you would want to visit in the area. I cannot say enough about how great a host Brett is. He communicated well in advance of our trip and gave great tips about where to go and what to do, which really made the best of our stay. He was super accommodating of our baby and brought some toys for him to play with. He is a general great guy with awesome stories and sage advice about the area. 10/10 recommend and we will be back for sure!
