Our stay at this Airbnb was incredible. The breathtaking ocean view immediately stood out and set the tone for the entire experience. The home was perfect for our family retreat with three families. There was plenty of space, and having our own bathrooms made it especially comfortable. There was so much to enjoy, from the pool and hot tub to foosball and darts. We also loved the nearby bar and restaurant within walking distance. Gary was an exceptional host... friendly, responsive, and always quick to help with anything we needed. What made this stay extra special was the daily housekeeping (including dishes!) and the in-home cook service. Fresh, authentic Costa Rican meals were a highlight for all of us. The only small challenge was finding it at first, it’s a hidden gem, but that added to its charm. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it!

Gary was a phenomenal host! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help us with everything. He assisted us with all of our travel needs and gave us great recommendations for tours and dining. The home was spacious for our large family and offered a lot to keep our adult children busy and entertained. The views from this beachfront home are gorgeous, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. It’s the perfect property for a family vacation and we plan to return. We highly recommend this listing!

We just left this beautiful place, and we were sad to say goodbye. Gary was an outstanding host, and always checked to make sure we were taken care of. The house was everything and more than we expected!. It was private and secluded just like we wanted. We wanted the Pura Vida experience, and that’s exactly what we got! We used the cook service one day , and it was spectacular! The daily housekeeping was a plus, and we just loved Nori!! The pool was always maintained, and fun was always had in the new hot tub. The sunsets from the back porch were like something out of a movie, and we were never disappointed. If we could give this place a 10 star, we would have. We will definitely return. Pura Vida!!

This was perfect for our family group of 5 couples and 2 teenage boys, split across the 6 rooms and 3 bedrooms. We loved the large back patio overlooking the beach (Playa Agujas - very calm with few visitors, and good surfing on the south end, with a nice restaurant/bar). A short walk took us to Playa Bochinche (even more private), for amazing swimming with sea turtles. Great birding and wildlife all around us (including capuchins), and the swimming pool was amazing for cooling off. A/C in all bedrooms, so we slept comfortably even in hot weather. Surfed and hung out in Jaco (about 30-45 drive depending on traffic), trips to Manuel Antonio (about 1.5 - 2 hrs), and Carara (20 min). Gary was such a great host. If you are looking for a quiet private beachfront escape -- this place is perfect. We had a magical time and miss it already!

We were two families staying here and we had a great time at Gary’s place. Gorgeous sunsets, well laid out house. Refreshing pool. Quiet public beach. Gary’s instructions to find it were very clear and we found it easily following his exact directions. Minimal bugs here considering you’re in Costa Rica! We really enjoyed watching the Macaws flying overhead every day. We used the cooks here twice and they made delicious food that even our 7 young kids enjoyed. There was no highchair or kids lifejackets so bring your own but otherwise the place had everything we needed. No air conditioning in the main living space but every bedroom had a/c that worked great to keep us cool if we needed a break from the heat. Grocery shopping and restaurants were very close as well as a few tourist attractions and Jaco is not too far if you’re looking to visit a bigger city. We would definitely recommend Gary’s place and would stay here again. Thanks Gary!

This house was a great house for experiencing the Tico lifestyle. There isn't any glass in the widows, only screen and bars for safety, which is normal in Tico homes. This meant no AC in any of the main living spaces, so the house can get warm during the day. It also meant living with bugs and geckos. The bedrooms had AC, so if you closed the window slats, it would stay cool enough at night for sleeping. There were a few small quirks with the house during our stay, but Gary was always very fast to respond and fix it, so it was never a big deal and not even worth detailing here. The location of the house was fairly private and felt safe the entire time. I would recommend this house to anyone that wants to experience the Tico lifestyle while still having a touch of American comforts.

This place was so nice with our family of 11. We had four kids and we all fit very well. Be aware that two of the bedrooms are outside from the front door so that was a little different but really not a problem for two adults. The view from the back porch is amazing! We loved the pool and spent hours there. Could walk right onto the beach and the kayaks were so fun to use. They were a little tough to get down to the beach but once they were, it was lovely. The only thing was that there is only AC in the bedrooms and not all of them worked well or were spotty with one being very loud so couldn't quite sleep with it on. Again, we loved this spot for the view and area so highly recommend!

We had a WONDERFUL stay at this airbnb! If we ever come back to Costa Rica we will be staying here! The beachfront location with the pool for the price is unbeatable! Every day we walked down to the beach and swam in the pool. Our whole group spent as much time possible on the patio (which overlooks the ocean) for meals, hang outs and relaxing. We rented the cars he provides which was convenient and easy- with that included airport transportation, making our trip transportation stress free. We used the cooks every night for dinner and they made delicious and affordable meals. Gary was very responsive and helped with recommendations of tours, where to grocery shop etc- they live in a house right next to the airbnb so it was easy to communicate with him. Should note the house location is about 25 minutes outside of the town of Jaco, but there is grocery shopping about 15 min aways. Four of the bedrooms are located inside the house, with the two other connecting via the back patio area.

We stayed here with our children and another family. The cleaning person came almost daily and cleaned well. We also used the cook one evening for a traditional Costa Rican meal and it was excellent. It is a public beach in front of the house, but never felt overly crowded. I would recommend this place

Little slice of paradise if you are looking for seclusion! It’s a locals beach and we were there on a holiday and was still not crowded. Gary has a beautiful place!
