Backroads Sunset&Mistico Beach Club+Boat Shuttle

This was a great place to stay in a very nice, calm location. It’s not in the heart of San Pedro—it’s about a 15–20 minute ride—so having a golf cart is absolutely necessary. The area feels like it’s still in development, but once everything is fully built, it’s going to be really beautiful to see how it all comes together. If you’re looking for a very local, Belizean-in-the-core experience, this may not be the ideal spot. However, if you prefer peace and quiet outside of the busy San Pedro core, it’s perfect. Do keep in mind that the roads are dusty (as they are in many parts of Belize), and dust can enter the house quickly. The home itself is great and very comfortable. There are amenities nearby, so it’s easy to get around. The pool club is a highlight—the food there is incredible and the vibe is amazing. One downside is the private pool at the house. Its placement makes it impractical and it can be a safety concern for families with children. We didn’t use it at all and didn’t f

The villa is beautiful and great for a large family gathering or friends traveling together. We enjoyed the pool and 2 restaurants on the grounds very much; however, we would have liked access to the beach as there weren't many other options close by. You definitely need a golf cart to get to restaurants and other areas. We didn't mind because the nights were quiet. Everything was exactly as described and very responsive. Only downside -no warm showers.
