Welcome to Casa Hakuna Matata – your serene green retreat in Torio, Veraguas! Just 100 meters from the main road, this sustainable paradise invites you to reconnect with nature. Enjoy a short walk to the beach, explore a nearby river with crystal-clear lagoons, and take a scenic 30-minute hike through the jungle to reach a breathtaking waterfall. Your adventure starts here. The space Your sanctuary, spread across 2000 square meters, offers a tranquil escape for up to four guests. The upper bedroom opens onto the Moondeck, a terrace with cozy loungers—perfect for unwinding under the sky. The open tropical architecture, featuring a green roof, naturally cools the space, while mosquito nets and glass doors create a seamless connection between comfort and nature. High walls promote airflow, gently directing warmth upward to maintain a pleasant indoor climate. Each room enjoys a refreshing breeze thanks to ceiling fans. And with our thoughtfully chosen materials and design, air conditioning is as unnecessary as a snowman in the desert 😝. The open kitchen and living area invite relaxation and connection, embracing the essence of eco-living. Casa Hakuna Matata is built with sustainability in mind, featuring walls and floors crafted from limestone plaster and natural fibers. Experience the unique charm of our bamboo outdoor shower, nestled against a striking shell-stone wall—bringing nature even closer. Your eco-retreat is ready to welcome you! (Please check the house rules before booking.) Guest access You'll have access to every room in the house, except for the green roof and the storage house. Other things to note • Since February 2025, we have installed railings on the lower floor, along the kitchen area, and the staircase, making the space child-friendly. We haven't been able to take photos yet, but they will be available soon. • We offer WiFi! (The mobile networks also function well within the house) • We consistently strive to maintain the house's cleanliness. However, due to its open design, dust may settle quickly on furniture. It's crucial to recognize that in this house, we embrace harmonious living with nature. • The house is situated in a vibrant neighborhood. You may occasionally hear Reggaeton music from the neighbors and trucks from the main road. • In the morning, the roosters from our neighbors across the road crow, as is common throughout Torio.

wunderbares haus-man lebt quasi draussen und es ist immer sehr angenehm. viele tolle restaurants in der nähe und wunderschöne strände in der gegend! sehr empfehlenswert!!

El lugar es muy bonito. Nuestra estadía fue perfecta. Queríamos algo que se sintiera apartado, pero sin estar completamente aislados, y esta casa fue ideal. Tiene todo lo necesario por el precio, y todo fue excelente, incluida la atención.

This place is amazing! The light in the morning is so beautiful and the sounds of birds & waves ease you into that relaxation state. The hamacas were the perfect addition as well.

Die Unterkunft hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Sie ist ein Ort der Ruhe und sehr idyllisch. Der Kochbereich ist offen und verfügt über einen hochwertigen Gasherd. Morgens hört man einheimische Tiere und gleichzeitig das Meer in der Ferne rauschen. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und alles ist stilvoll gestaltet und in einem sehr guten Zustand. Im Garten durften wir eine reife Ananas ernten und die Regendusche im Außenbereich verfügt über warmes Wasser und ist traumhaft schön gestaltet. In den Bäumen konnten wir Kolibris beobachten. Fußläufig ist das Meer und ein Wasserfall zum Baden erreichbar. In der Straße sind mehrere Restaurants, von denen wir in Zweien waren und gut gegessen haben. Die Unterkunft war ein Highlight unserer Reise und die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern hervorragend! Ich kann es zu 100% nur empfehlen! Fünf ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an amazing stay. We were 3 surferfriends and the place felt like home for us. Beautiful nature, good vibes and very lovely people in town and area. Amy always replied very fast and was happy to help us anytime. Thank you for this beautiful stay, we all realy appreciated it.

Beautiful open house—quiet and close to good restaurants, great hikes, and the beach. Amy and Ryan are very friendly and responsive hosts. We had a wonderful stay.

La casa esta muy bonita. Tiene todo lo que necesitas para pasar un fin de semana agradable. esta ubicada en un lugar centrico , cerca de la playa y del rio. la comuncacion con manu, fue muy sencilla , siempre dispuesto a resolver nuestras dudas.

Das Haus ist wirklich speziell. Es ist völlig offen aber die Schlafzimmer sind abschließbar. Für kleine Kinder allerdings nicht geeignet. Wir hatten zwar ziemlich Pech mit dem Wetter, es regnete an 4 von 6 Tagen mehr oder weniger ununterbrochen, aber in das Haus regnete es trotz fehlender Wände nicht rein und man konnte den Regen gut in der Hängematte aussitzen. Überrascht waren wir, das es keine Insekten gab. Ausstattung ist gut, alles da, was man braucht allerdings durch die tropische Witterung nicht mehr nagelneu. Amy und Ryan waren super Gastgeber, mit Tips und immer gut erreichbar.

Nice eco-friendly place. Great for disconnecting from city life. Amy and Ryan are super friendly and helpful. Not toddler friendly though.
