The space Welcome to Your Rainforest Escape in Punta Leona Tucked along the main road to Playa Mantas and Playa Blanca, our property offers the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and nature. Just 10 minutes from the beach, you’ll find yourself immersed in a lush garden setting, with the rainforest quite literally as your backyard. The property features two modern three-story buildings, each with two private villas. Every villa includes its own outdoor patio and rooftop terrace—ideal for morning coffee, evening sunsets, or stargazing under the tropical sky. Guests also enjoy a shared raised deck with lounge seating and a large oasis-style pool, creating a relaxing space to unwind after a day of adventure. Each building has its own private entrance for added privacy. Parking is located directly in front of the property (not inside the gates), with a designated spot reserved for every villa. For your peace of mind, security cameras are placed in the parking area and shared spaces only. We are located just 15 minutes from Playa Jacó, the country’s largest beach town, and within easy reach of Costa Rica’s most iconic attractions—including the country’s largest waterfall, thrilling adventure tours, and endless outdoor activities. Plus, at only 1–1.5 hours from San José International Airport (SJO), Punta Leona is the closest beach destination to the capital. Our greatest treasure is the property’s garden, filled with vibrant tropical plants and trees, creating a natural sanctuary for relaxation and connection with the surrounding rainforest. Whether you’re here for beach days, adventure, or pure tranquility, this is your Costa Rican escape—rooted in nature, yet close to it all. Guest access Guests will enjoy full access to their private villa along with a spacious outdoor patio, complete with comfortable seating and large accordion doors that open directly from the living area. From the patio, a private garden walkway leads directly to the shared pool deck, while a side door inside the villa also provides access to the pool area for added convenience. Each villa has its own private entrance gate from the outside, offering added privacy and security when coming and going. The oasis-style pool, raised lounge deck, and lush garden areas are shared among all guests on the property, providing plenty of space to relax and enjoy the rainforest surroundings. Each villa also includes one designated parking space located directly in front of the property, outside of the gates. Please note that parking is not inside the property—we want to be clear about this to avoid confusion. The parking area is well-lit, monitored by security cameras, and benefits from an additional layer of safety with a security guard posted across the street for a new residential community. For privacy, only staff and maintenance rooms are restricted; all other shared spaces are available for your use. Other things to note This villa includes one king bed, which can be converted into two twin beds upon request, plus a sofa bed that pulls out into an additional sleeping space. The villa also includes a small kitchen area with two stovetops, a compact refrigerator, and basic appliances and utensils for preparing light meals. Please note that the kitchen is not designed for full-scale cooking and does not include an oven. Our villas are located in a quiet, welcoming town surrounded by endless opportunities for adventure. Guests can enjoy boat tours, fishing trips, zip lining, ATV rides, and buggy adventures—all just a short distance away. One of the area’s highlights is Bijagual Waterfall, the largest in Costa Rica. This magnificent natural wonder includes a scenic hike and unforgettable views, with the option to experience it more adventurously through a canyoning tour that takes you right down the falls. Parking is provided directly in front of the property, with a designated spot for each villa. Please note that parking is outside the gates, not inside. The area is well-lit, monitored by security cameras, and benefits from an additional layer of safety with a security guard posted across the street for a nearby residential community. The neighborhood itself is safe and quiet, giving guests extra peace of mind. Our town is home to a few friendly neighborhood dogs that you may see from time to time. They’re gentle, used to people, and always happy for a kind word or even a small treat if you’d like to say hello. Additional cleaning services are available upon request at any time for an extra fee of $30 per cleaning. Simply contact our property manager to schedule. Playa Mantas, just minutes away, offers two parking options: one free lot and one paid lot (approx. $40 per day), located right next to each other. On weekends, we recommend arriving before 8:00 AM to secure a spot in the free lot and avoid congestion. During the week, the beach is usually much less crowded and parking is easier to find. Please note that parking rates are subject to change and are not managed by our property. Playa Blanca is one of the Central Pacific’s only white-sand, crystal-clear beaches—a true hidden gem. Access is exclusive, with two main options: Day Pass: Available for purchase (pricing varies by season). With a pass, you’ll receive a bracelet that grants access to Playa Blanca, the Punta Leona Resort and facilities, as well as on-site parking at the resort. Pass availability is not guaranteed on certain dates and holidays throughout the year. Hike from Playa Mantas: A short scenic trail connects Playa Mantas to Playa Blanca, offering a more adventurous way to reach the beach.
