Casa Colibri Coqueta La Fortuna

A great place to stay if you’re visiting La Fortuna and the surrounding area. It’s private, it’s secluded, it’s surrounded by nature and beautiful grounds. The house itself is large, the rooms are large and all separate. We stayed with 2 families and 4 kids and it was more than enough space. The kids loved it. On our last morning, there was a sloth in the tree so tht was great.

This place was great for our two families with 4 kids. We liked that it was close to all the activities but felt like it was very private. The pool, rooms, house etc were all as described. We liked seeing the sloth in the trees!

Beautiful home for 8 of us (3 families). The children loved the pool. La Fortuna has so much to do an we were a quick drive from it all. Love how private the home and property were. Lots of area to go for little walks; saw the sloth many times, as well as toucans. Also a great view of Arenal volcano (on a clear day). Only thing to note is the bedrooms are only accessible from outside (they surround the pool) and none of the rooms connect. Just something to consider if brining younger children (we brought a baby monitor and worked perfectly). Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

The home was clean, safe, private and well taken care of. We felt right at home and the hosts were very responsive. Finding the home was a bit difficult, but once you found the gate to the property it was very easy to access with the instructions. We felt the property was excellent. The only thing we didn’t catch is that the house (while a whole connected unit) is segmented out. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom and all have separate entrances. The same for the living room, kitchen, and wash room- you have to exit to the exterior of the bedrooms to access the communal space. I think this property would be an excellent spot for large groups that want their private space from each other. For our families with young children there was some concern being locked away from our kids in a separate locked space, but the security and safety are handled well and out us at ease. Thank you for hosting us, we had a very memorable stay!

We had an amazing 2 night stay at Casa Colibri Coqueta in La Fortuna! The house is beautiful! We were a large group of 8 people, and the home offered plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. Each bedroom had its own modern well appointed bathroom — it was the perfect place to relax and do some stargazing at night. We also enjoyed the pool and jetted hot tub, which made our evenings even more special. The location is peaceful and quiet, and it’s only about a 10-minute drive to La Fortuna. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and everything went perfectly throughout our stay. Highly recommend Casa Colibri Coqueta for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

The house was clean, safe and private. The kitchen and linens were well stocked. We love being able to walk around the property. There was a sloth in our backyard. Definitely order pizza from the place on the magnet on the fridge. Amazing!

Great place, loved the pool and hot tub. Best part was the gardener pointing out where the sloth is for my kids in the morning.

We had THE best stay here. Alnardo & Maripaz were super responsive & helpful in arranging activities including massages at the house for our guests. Their place has everything you need (they even put up a Christmas tree for us which we loved) and it is centrally located for all the usual activities around the La Fortuna area - Arenal Volcano, Mistico Hanging Bridges, Sloth Territory, Arenal Mundo 12 zip line adventure, Baldi Hot Springs, La Fortuna waterfall, etc. We hated to leave & we cannot recommend this place enough. We especially enjoyed how private the place is, being behind a locked gate for security, and a sighting of the resident sloth. The pizza at Pizza by Sari nearby was also great. Other helpful info for others going to this area - must does include Sloth Territory, Bocaditos Cerviche truck near Sloth Territory, and the folks at Arenal Mundo 12 zip line over the La Fortuna waterfall have a wonderful team.
