Oceanfront Villa w/ Pool & Beach Access

We had a wonderful week in Playacar, and Mercedes's rental deserves a lot of credit for that. The interior was much more spacious than it looks in the pictures, and the patio and pool space was terrific (it was especially useful given the Sargassum situation in July). The space was clean and very family friendly, with Mercedes making a crib and high-chair available for our young son. I highly recommend this listing for families or groups of friends looking to stay in the Playa del Carmen area.

We had a lovely time and the house was clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were easy. We loved the pool and the house came with all of the things we needed - laundry detergent and spices, shampoo and soap…and drinking water. Essentials! Mercedes was easy to communicate with and the cleaning that was included in our stay was perfect.

Absolutely beautiful place with a great pool right on the beach. Unfortunately the seaweed was really bad so we didn’t use the beach much but that was just the time of year we booked. They had everything we needed and we had a great vacation!

Beautiful home. 15-20 min walk to edge of town. Great safe location right on the beach. House had zero issues. Sargassum seaweed on the beach but that’s a problem throughout the entire area. Easy access to Cozumel ferry. Melina who greeted us was very informative and super nice.

This house is located in the gated community called Playacar Phase 1 near a resort called Sunset Fishermen. You have to sign in and out, and there are security guards sprinkled around, so we felt safe and we walked to and from town a lot. This house was a better option for us than an all-inclusive resort because we don’t drink much and love to go into a city to shop, eat and explore. This house also had the three non-negotiables for us: a private pool, location right on the beach and a washer/dryer. Of course, the pool is important because of the growing amount of sargassum that washes up on the beach this time of year. We spent a lot of time in the pool, but still swam in the ocean as much as we usually do. Mercedes and Alex helped us plan excursions and were quick to answer questions. The whole neighborhood is beautiful and has an upscale vibe. The best part of our trip came from the Mexican people who were friendly and hospitable. We returned home having made many new friends!

badass villa, super close to the strip about a 20 minute walk, beach is seconds away. Great place to bring your family or party with your friends.

We LOVED staying at Casa Girasol! The home was immaculate, free of any clutter, tastefully decorated, easy access to the beach (literally seconds away from the shoreline), beautiful views of the ocean and Cozumel on the horizon. The home has a reasonable walk to local shopping and is secure and guarded by 24 hour staffed gate access and security personnel who walk the streets of the neighborhood. We felt very safe and comfortable in the home. We also loved that the refrigerator was connected to 5 gallon purified water bottles allowing us to safely stay hydrated, a nice washing machine and dryer we used to keep our clothes clean and individual A/C split units in each room to allow those staying in the home to choose their own comfortable room temperatures. Outdoor dining was marvelous and pool was incredible! We had cleaning staff (home and pool) twice during the week the we stayed--keeping the place clean and tidy. We loved our time there and would return should we make our way back!
