Location
Casa Sanchez is situated at the end of a private road on the hill of Las Huacas, overlooking Playa Guiones in Nosara. From this peaceful and scenic spot, you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean and the surf at Playa Guiones. Every evening, you can watch the sun set over the ocean. The location often benefits from a gentle, pleasant breeze.
The house is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the center of Guiones and about 7 to 8 minutes from Nosara’s beaches.
The Space
Built approximately 40 years ago as one of the first homes on the hill, Casa Sanchez is rich in character. It features an eclectic blend of Balinese-style decor, locally crafted furniture, and modern, comfortable beds. The interior offers a spacious and airy feel with multiple common areas designed for relaxation, whether together or apart.
All bedrooms are equipped with new air conditioning units, while the living room and kitchen do not have air conditioning. As a well-loved home, it carries charm and personality, along with a few minor imperfections.
The garden includes mature fruit trees, and during the right seasons, guests can pick fresh limes and mangoes by the pool or bananas just outside the front door.
Guest Access
Casa Sanchez is a two-story residence with the pool located on the lower-level deck, making it ideal for families. There are two large bedrooms upstairs and one smaller bedroom downstairs, which has a separate entrance. Each of the three bedrooms includes a full ensuite bathroom.
Additional Information
While infrastructure in Costa Rica continues to improve, guests should be prepared for occasional outages of power, water, or internet during their stay. These interruptions are part of experiencing a different country and culture and are beyond the control of the property.
Nosara, including Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada, is a rapidly developing area. Construction noise is common, typically occurring between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Due to the tropical environment, it is normal to encounter various insects and small animals such as spiders, scorpions, lizards, geckos, and other wildlife. Guests should be aware of this aspect of the local ecosystem.

This place was more than we could have hoped for. Åsa’s place is beautiful, thoughtfully decorated and is full of character. It is incredibly private despite having neighbors nearby. What stood out the most was the view. We all spent our mornings sitting outside, soaking it in. Grateful to have had this place to share an unforgettable week in Nosara with friends.

We really liked this lovely house on the hill. The views from the front veranda were beautiful. The house was comfortable and clean. Kids liked the pool and we all loved the big outdoor table for dinner.

This was our second time back at Åsa's place - we absolutely love it. The breezes, the view, the open and peaceful space. We loved being perched just above town - and yet still just an easy drive to town - where the beach is in constant view and the sunsets are unbeatable. The team managing the place is kind and responsive and they set up a lovely massage therapy session for us and referred us to great spots to have lunch and buy fresh fish. This is definitely the way to visit Nosara.

Perfect location on the hill above Playa Guiones. We've been to Nosara area many years, and prefer staying up on the hill-quieter and lots of nature all around, yet quick access to Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada, restaurants, grocery store. Great view!

We have lived near Guiones beach for 9 months for walkability, but the noisy construction and traffic were enough to send us to the hills! Sanchez has an amazing breeze, lovely view, and obvious character. The kitchen has the amenities we needed to cook meals. Keep in mind the pool is on the side of the house with outdoor steps leading down. Also the third bedroom and laundry have a separate outdoor entrance. Our kids are 8 and 10 and it was a perfect fit for all of us. We would definitely rent again!

This home is absolutely stunning, (safely) secluded in the jungle & the view is absolutely breathtaking. The host & rental company are incredibly friendly, helpful and very quick to respond to (and assist with) any questions or assistance you may need. The surrounding area is so quiet & peaceful, and truly provides a REAL Costa Rica experience. You can hear all of the jungle animals, as well as the ocean - which just adds to the experience. The drive to the beach is approx. 7 minutes, and is a beautiful & enjoyable drive. We rented a car, using the discount provided - the rental company assisted with pick up and drop off, which was very helpful. There is an amazing healthy & organic grocery store (Organico) 5 minutes down the mountain, and tons of wonderful restaurants just a short drive away. The house is spotless & very spacious, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are so comfortable, water pressure and heat is perfect, the wifi works perfectly. Top notch. Must stay!

We had a great time in Nosara. The view was well worth it, one of the best in the town in my opinion! The house was very secure and the drive up the hill wasn't bad at all. We spent most of our time hanging out on the patio or by the pool looking at amazing birds, monkeys and coatis! I think we saw the most wildlife at the house than any where in town. I highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here in Nosara! Beautiful views from the house and just a 10 minute drive to the beach and town down below. It was a quiet and restful place and we even had visits from the howler monkeys by the pool. A very Costa Rican experience!

Amazing view and lots of space. The outside space is wonderful and we spent many an hour watching the waves and sunset. If you don’t mind the 5 min drive to surf or to shop then it’s a perfect place to stay.
