Secluded Beachfront & Rainforest Home @ Paz

Amazing place. The fact that the whole house was screened in was so cool. Rainbows, macaws, great places to lounge - Roberto is an excellent host and we’d love to return.

Paz is a special place and Roberto is a wonderful host. The floor to ceiling screens in the living room/dining room situate you right in the secondary forest. Heaven for nature loving bird nerds. If you’ve spent time on the Osa before, you know Howler monkeys wake you at 4:30am. We watched howler, spider, and squirrel monkeys from bed. The beach is a minute walk. A covered porch with hammocks and chairs to enjoy the beautiful Gulfo Dulce. And a small pool to cool off in (key) and watch Macaws, capuchin monkeys, hermit crabs & the waves. We bought groceries in Puerto Jimenez and cooked most of meals for the week. Kitchen has big fridge, sharp knives, and worked well for us. Marluna Lodge (5 min drive) for Taco Tuesday. Visited local surf breaks and surfed the right point break out front of Paz. Tide dependent. Roberto can help you figure it out. Roberto was very attentive, warm, and helpful. He’s created a beautiful space in a beautiful part of the world.

Wonderful place! Extremely private with wildlife all around. Beach is a bit rocky but you get it all to yourself. Roberto is very friendly and helped with local knowledge.

Roberto is very responsive and pleasant. This is an off the grid jungle setting. We were comfortable but very high humidity for the time of year that we went; March 20-30. All told we were happy with our stay. Saw many animals, took snorkeling trips, surfboards lessons, and a jungle hike. Keep in mind groceries and restaurants are expensive in this part of Costa Rica.

Roberto was very helpful throughout our trip. He reached out a week in advance to give us recommendations on tours and things to do in the area. We arrived very late and he made sure to have someone to help check in to the place. The Airbnb is spacious and surrounded by nature, and we are steps away from the beach. The beach is a little rocky but we can walk down 10 minutes to an area where it is more swimmable. Overall, it is a great place to stay while we did some exploring around Corcovado. I highly recommend the place.

Incroyable maison, une expérience inoubliable. Se retrouver dans un environnement complètement isolé dans la nature (jungle costaricaine) entouré d’animaux a été un réel plaisir. Jordan, notre hôte fut extraordinaire et très réactive à nos demandes. J’ai quitté ce lieu paradisiaque hier et il me manque déjà. Je recommande à tous ceux qui souhaite vivre une expérience différente de faire un séjour chez Roberto (qui est fort sympathique). Vous ne le regretterez pas. Merci a Jordan.

you go to Corcovado for the tropical rainforest biodiversity. what Roberto has acheived with a limited footprint is extraordinary. Elegant design plus sufficent convenience, roar of ocean & howlers, endless birds. Not glassed in: soaring mesh windows. Hot water. As a serious cook, eating every meal here was easily acheived if you embrace that you're in the jungle ( lots of stovetop braising & steaming). The road in Osa is kept rough so we opted for touring closer, saw literally every mammal on our wish list, many more birds than expected, Roberto even got us an emergency dentist appt! favorite moment: lying on the sofa while it rained watching the monkeys play atop "our" trees.

Roberto is such a kind human. This amazing slice of paradise is remote, peaceful, exciting, and overall a soulful experience. Roberto is very upfront and truthful about his listing. It is very warm, it’s supposed to be. There is no AC, and we were so grateful for the fans, swim pool, ocean breeze. Very authentic! It is a remote location, off grid. He has done an amazing job of providing amenities that feel luxurious in a remote jungle. I am so incredibly thankful for my stay here. My heart and soul left Paz calm and centered. Thank you Roberto! You are my favorite host ever and your home is my favorite stay I’ve ever had. Thank you!
