Birdwatcher Special 1 Studio Apartment

This place was even more beautiful than the photos. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was nice, and the AC worked great and provided much relief. The property at Villas Nicolas was gorgeous and peaceful. We spent time in the pool and the front desk staff were all extremely kind and helpful. Two scarlet macaws live on the property, and we saw a baby and mama sloth right outside our patio. Overall wonderful stay, and in a great location.

Clear and quick responses to our inquiries and booking. On arrival, the front desk of the hotel were friendly and welcoming to show us to the apartment. The space itself was ideal for what we wanted - a couple of days quiet after a week in Arenal and Monteverde. We didn’t book tickets for Manuel Antonio park itself (we were too late for that) but instead had one day just on the balcony in the hammock (sea view is lovely) and enjoyed the iguana, toucan, parrots and monkeys we saw. The second day, we walked down to the beach (~30mins) and enjoyed the day walking along to the next beaches round on the trail. Room facilities were sufficient for our stay and a good a/c for the room. A couple more window shades would be helpful for sleepers that are more sensitive to light in the morning (my wife had her mask with her so we were fine). The hotel itself is nice and quiet with a little pool, although we didn’t make use of this or the breakfast, as the apartment itself was sufficient!

This was our favourite spot in Costa Rica. We saw more wildlife at Villas Nicholas than anywhere else in Costa Rica. Late afternoons at the pool we met new friends and we’re entertained but the monkeys or sloths or birds, always something. The private deck had a beautiful view. Easy walking distance to great restaurants and the local bus took us to the beach.

this place absolutely fulfilled our expectations. stunning garden with lots of wildlife, spacious apartment with all necessary amenities, hammock be hung on the terrasse providing an extra indulgence while watching the garden's wild life... nice people (regards to stella, dear dennis😉) scarlet macaws permanent guests in the garden. whatever we asked it was answered without delay. love unconditionally.

We stayed for two weeks! The space was beautiful and clean. The apartment really was a fully functional apartment. The internet was great. We worked normal 40 hour work weeks remotely with lots of video conference calls, sharing large files and never had any internet issues. While we worked on the private patio with beautiful ocean views, monkeys came to visit several times, Toucans, and Macaus hung out in the trees nearby, and a big iguana hung out peacefully everyday on the other end of the porch. You can hear the sound of waves at night, and nature in the morning. Definitely the best long term stay I’ve ever had. The people were super nice. Highly recommend!!!

Staying here was a wonderful experience! The room was amazing - especially the porch, which we saw a TON of wildlife from including birds, iguanas, and monkeys. The rest of the hotel was great too. The staff was very helpful, the pool was beautiful and relaxing, and the landscaping and views made you feel like you were in your own little paradise. Would definitely recommend (and go back)!

Sheryl’s place is perfect for a relaxing vacation! It’s close to many restaurants and shops, as well as the park. The patio has a beautiful view and great for seeing local wildlife! Would highly recommend
