It's absolutely amazing here! It is a super beautiful house with lots of nice and convenient amenities. There are many different seating areas with beautiful views. We enjoyed the pool and the walks to the river. You can hear howler monkeys, and we saw toucans. I can 100% recommend it to anyone!

Het is hier absoluut geweldig! Het is een super mooi huis met heel veel fijne en handige voorzieningen. Er zijn heel veel verschillende zitjes met prachtige uitzichten. We genoten van het zwembad en de wandelingen naar de rivier. Je hoort brulapen en we zagen toekans. Ik kan het iedereen voor 100% aanraden!

What a house! We fell in love with it as soon as we arrived (3 nights, 4 adults and 2 children). The view is breathtaking, amazing! The house is superb, modern, spacious, well-decorated and very comfortable. The garden is very well kept. This is definitely our best accommodation in Costa Rica! We loved being completely immersed in nature, with this feeling of being alone in the world. We saw several toucans. The road is rocky up to the house, but it's easy to go up in a 4x4. We went to discover the Poza Azul waterfall, which is only a 5-minute drive away: an absolutely beautiful place, not to be missed! A beautiful home in an exceptional setting that we had a lot of trouble leaving. We recommend it 100% and would be happy to go back!

Quelle maison ! Nous avons eu un véritable coup de cœur dès notre arrivée (3 nuits, 4 adultes et 2 enfants). La vue est à couper le souffle, incroyable ! La maison est superbe, moderne, spacieuse, bien décorée et très confortable. Le jardin très bien entretenu. C’est sans aucun doute notre meilleur logement au Costa Rica ! Nous avons adoré être complètement immergés dans la nature, avec cette impression d’être seuls au monde. Nous avons vu plusieurs toucans. La route est caillouteuse jusqu’à la maison mais on monte facilement en 4x4. Nous sommes allés découvrir la cascade Poza Azul située à seulement 5 minutes en voiture : un endroit absolument magnifique, à ne surtout pas manquer ! Un logement magnifique, dans un cadre exceptionnel, que nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à quitter. Nous le recommandons à 100 % et y retournerions avec grand plaisir !

We had a great time in this beautiful home. Everything was perfectly clean upon our arrival, and the accommodation is very comfortable. The view is absolutely stunning and the garden is superbly maintained, which makes the place even more pleasant. Private access to the river is a real plus and allows you to fully enjoy the surrounding nature. We also enjoyed the calm, the privacy and the overall quality of the house. Everything was perfect. We would recommend this listing without hesitation, and we would be happy to come back.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette magnifique maison. Tout était parfaitement propre à notre arrivée et le logement est très confortable. La vue est absolument magnifique et le jardin est superbement entretenu, ce qui rend l’endroit encore plus agréable. L’accès privé à la rivière est un vrai plus et permet de profiter pleinement de la nature environnante. Nous avons également apprécié le calme, l’intimité et la qualité générale de la maison. Tout était parfait. Nous recommandons ce logement sans la moindre hésitation et nous y reviendrions avec grand plaisir.

We stayed here for three nights with our four teenage children and had a fantastic stay. The house is modern, spacious, and very comfortable, with an amazing location in the middle of the jungle and beautiful views. We spent most of our time simply relaxing at the house—enjoying the pool, watching the birds, and soaking up the peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect place to unwind while feeling immersed in nature. We highly recommend this property and would happily stay here again.

A MASTERPIECE, in concert with its natural surroundings!! If you love nature and design, you’ll be very happy here.  Morning coffee on the large covered terrace perched above the treetops was my favorite time of day- if you pause and look, you will see some sort of wildlife: yellow-throated toucans, green parakeets, lizards and coatis were regulars.  The home was designed with artful intention, giant windows frame the landscape with no other homes in view, only the treetops, the ocean in the distance, and the sound of the river below.  Every comfort was thought of: soft towels, great showers, comfy beds, equipped kitchen, high-quality furnishings.  The kids loved the pool and we were all pleasantly surprised at the lack of mosquitos even during rainy season.  We loved the local Kumanji Cafe for breakfast and walking to Poza Azul waterfall to rope swing.  This is the sort of place I’d love to return again and again!   Amazing in every way!  Thanks for helping us make wonderful memories!

The property is beautifully located in the middle of the jungle. With a 4x4, you can easily drive up the rocky mountain to the house. Once you get to the top, you have fantastic views of the jungle and the sea. From the terrace, we even saw howler monkeys and lots of birds, including toucans. The house has several terraces and balconies for watching sunrises and sunsets. The grounds are beautifully laid out with a lot of love. Gravel paths lead around the house and down to a small waterfall. I definitely recommend this house!

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön mitten im Jungle gelegen. Mit einem 4x4 kommt man super den steinigen Berg zum Haus hinauf. Oben angekommen hat man eine fantastische Aussicht auf den Jungle und das Meer. Wir sahen von der Terrasse aus sogar Brüllaffen und viele Vögel, unter anderem Tucane. Das Haus hat mehrere Terrassen und Balkone um Sonnenaufgänge und Sonnenuntergänge zu beobachten. Das Gelände ist mit viel Liebe großartig angelegt. Gekieste Wege führen rund ums Haus und hinunter zu einem kleinen Wasserfall. Ich empfehle dieses Haus auf jeden Fall!

10/10 highly recommend! This is one of the best homes we’ve rented anywhere! The house and scenery are exactly as described and the photos are accurate, but neither do it justice. The net experience is even better. We were a group of 4 and had more than enough space to relax and enjoy our time. We appreciated the extra privacy of having bedrooms and bathrooms on separate floors as well. The location was great for what we wanted to do and the natural setting was incredible. We were really hoping to see wildlife and were not disappointed! We saw howler monkeys all around the house and neighborhood on multiple occasions—including close enough to sit and watch from the patio. We saw a huge variety of birds, including toucans right in the yard. We also heard many other animals calling throughout our stay. Communication was prompt and helpful. Word to the wise, follow the detailed directions provided rather than GPS.

My family felt right at home at here. Such a beautiful location with stunning views of the ocean. Would highly recommend for a large family.

This is such a beautiful property. Modern, sleek and comfortable but right in the jungle- with monkeys on the doorstep! Beautiful sunsets- it was one of the most stunning properties I’ve ever stayed at.

The house is just as seen in the photos, it is well equipped, and it has many amenities.  It offers a beautiful view, privacy, and a great deal of tranquility. The hosts were very attentive and responded quickly to messages. We definitely recommend this option.

La casa es tal como se ve en las fotos, está bien equipada y cuenta con muchas comodidades.  Ofrece una vista hermosa, privacidad y mucha tranquilidad. Los host fueron muy atentos y respondieron rápidamente a los mensajes. Sin duda recomendamos esta opción.

We were two families with small children and enjoyed our time there very much. You are surrounded by greenery, with great views of the ocean. A 4x4 is definitely recommended. One star deducted because there is no dishwasher; that's annoying on vacation.

wir waren zwei Familien mit kleinen Kindern und haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Man ist umgeben von Grün mit tollem Blick auf das Meer. Ein 4x4 wird auf jeden Fall empfohlen ein Punkt abzug, weil es keine Spühlmaschine gibt, sowas nervt im Urlaub.

This is hands-down one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in—and we’ve stayed in many around the world and even own one ourselves. The home was spotlessly clean and spacious, featuring stunning views of the jungle and ocean from every single window. We spent our days by the pool , which is actually larger than it appears in the photos, watching monkeys, toucans, and cool wildlife visiting daily. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and it’s clear the owners have put immense thought and care into the property. The beds and linens were high-quality and comfortable, and even the lighting was perfectly on point. The home was very private and we didn’t find a 4x4 necessary; the road is a typical Costa Rican dirt road—steep in spots, but very manageable. We were traveling with our 8-year-old and found so much to do nearby, including the Reptile Park, Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary and one of our best meals of the trip at Scala. Will be back!

We loved our stay at Cary’s place! The home and surrounding area are both beautiful! We saw (and heard!) howler monkey and toucans every morning. The private stream access is super cool and a great way to do some adventuring without leaving the property. Definitely recommend booking this place!

Amazing stay! We had a great time, the house is beautiful with amazing sunsets and great beaches nearby! Cary was always contactable and helpful, cannot recommend highly enough!

What a beautiful home. Amazing setting, extremely private. I've stayed in so many places in Costa Rica and this is the closest I have felt like I was right at home. Amazing setting, extremely private. The house itself is so modern and perfectly designed. Huge soft couch, large dining room table, big kitchen. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds and linens were great. No cheap pillows here. Every morning was coffee on the upper deck overlooking the ocean. Please do not forget to go down the paths to the creek. I waited too long to check it out. It was awesome. Cary is extremely responsive as well as the caretakers who live right near by. Very quick responses.

We spent 9 days on site and loved staying there. We rented a 4x4 vehicle as recommended in some reviews and we are happy to have done so. The dirt road to go up to the house is rather steep and not even, but it's all worth it. The accommodation is large and very well-located. A superb view, intimate and surrounded by the jungle. We saw several birds and monkeys there. The house is rather well equipped and located 8 minutes from Dominicalito and 16 minutes from Uvita. Close to several attractions and very good restaurants. We loved it.

Nous avons passer 9 jours sur place et avons aimer y séjourner. Nous avions louer un véhicule 4x4 comme recommender dans certain commentaires et nous sommes heureux de l’avoir fait. La route de terre pour monter vers la maison est plutôt en abrupte et non égale, mais le tout en vaut la peine. Le logement est grand et très bien située. Une superbe vue, intime et entourer de la jungle. Nous y avons vu plusieurs oiseaux et singes. La maison est plutôt bien équipé et située à 8 min de Dominicalito et 16min d’Uvita. Près de plusieurs attractions et très bons restaurants. Nous avons adorer.

The house is beautiful, functional, and very comfortable.  Tucked in the jungle above the beach.  Great surfing at Dominicalito. Beautiful in sunshine or rain.  We had a very lovely stay.

We have stayed in Airbnbs all over the world, and all over Costa Rica, and this was one of our all time favorites. The view from the balconies, pool, and deck is absolutely breathtaking, and there are short trails right outside the house through the jungle forest to the river. The house itself is beautifully designed and generously appointed with cooking supplies, towels, yoga mats, and comfortable bedding. We loved our stay, and appreciated the hosts’ warm responsiveness and local recommendations. We swam in the waterfall/swimming hole just down the hill, and did yoga at the local Shala. It was a wonderful stay in a gorgeous, untouched part of the coast. Thank you to Cary, Cheyenne and Josh for sharing this remarkable home.

10/10. This place is simply stunning! Brand new. Secluded in the forest. Private. Quiet. Safe. Squeaky clean. STUNNING VIEWS AT EVERY CORNER. You can hear the rushing river while drifting off to sleep every night. Fully stocked with everything you can imagine (yoga mats, palo santo, flashlights, diffuser with essential oils, beach towels, etc). Beautifully decorated. Ceiling fans in every room and A/C. We saw white face monkeys swinging by in the trees a few times. There are 2 well marked hiking paths towards the river. There is a local waterfall about 4 min away by car. Communication with the host was excellent. We got a little lost trying to find the property but Cary was so patient and made sure we safely made it. 4x4 is highly recommended.

Absolutely unbelievable location. So new that it doesn’t show up on satellite shots yet. Looks even better in person that in the photos. Private and secluded with a very short drive down the hill to Domenicalito. Gorgeous views, two private trails to the river, and lots of deck space on either floor to enjoy the jungle. This was my third time surfing in Costa Rica and this—by far—was the best property I stayed at.

We had the best time! The house is in a beautiful location, surrounded by jungle but not hard to find at the same time. It was fun to explore the private rivers around. We even spent an entire day seeing monkeys just outside of the house! The perfect place to witness wildlife for sure. Absolutely recommend 😊

Casa Punta Del Rio is an absolutely magical place. We couldn’t have had a better experience, this house had everything we needed plus more! The view of the ocean and jungle are spectacular, within close proximity to town (Dominical/Dominicalito) , several waterfalls , fishing, and beautiful beaches and local markets. The home sits on a hill that has access to a waterfall approximately 50 meters from the driveway; we had an amazing time hiking through the trail, seeing monkeys and other beautiful wildlife along the river. This was the best home I’ve ever stayed in, in my 15 years of traveling to this country. We would highly recommend this house and Cary as your host! He made us feel right at home and we can’t wait to stay here again. Pura Vida- Matt and Shaina
