Casa Borealis is located in La Vista Properties, on the hills overlooking Hacienda Iguana. This property is a comfortable off the grid home with all the conveniences you need with the peace a quiet you desire. The house contains a full kitchen stocked with all the kitchen appliance and silverware you need, has wifi, cable tv, netflix, a/c's, ceiling fans, ext.. the master bedroom has a king size bed and the guest has a queen size bed both with private porch access and private bathrooms. The space Guest will enjoy Casa Borealis privacy and quietness. We are located next to Hacienda Iguana and its commercial area, where you will be able to access restaurants such as our favorite Casa Maderas, Scoops and spokes, and Don Eloys bar, Casa Ananas, and Iguana Brewery. Furthermore the Iguana Commercial area has shops, golf, bike, moto rentals, a health clinic, souvenier shop, and Spa. Guest access All spaces in the house are fully available to the guests including porch, pool, living room, bathrooms, pool house, ect.. Other things to note Casa Borealis is a ecofriendly fully off grid home build to be fully sustainable, it counts on 24 solar panels to generate all its electrical power, and 24 - 12v batteries to store it. This system is sufficient to supply all your electrical needs for the home. Appliences include a inverter fridge, 3 tv´s, pool pump, and accessories such as coffee maker, microwave, blender, toaster ect.... This home also has 2 a/c units (1 in each bedroom) using a/c’s will demish electrical capacity, and if power is depleated, system cannot be restarted until the next morning, therefore we highly recommend good energy conservasion behaviour.

This home is beautiful inside and out, pool is kept clean, and fresh. If you are looking for a quiet home in nature, this is it. And the convenience of Hacienda Iguana minutes away. The roads are paved all the way from Managua to the last street before the house (about a mile ish)

Roger's place is beautiful! Basically hidden in the trees so it is very private and secluded. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Inside the house is just as beautiful from the large bathrooms to everything else. There are 2 gates to get into Iguana and unfortunately only owners can get past the second gate which is where all the amenities are like the beach club, restaurants, golf course, pool, beach access, etc. Roger's place is only in the 1st gate so as a renter, my husband and I were restricted access to get into the second gate. We were able to get past the gates one time but not again. It ended up being a dealbreaker for us so we ultimately rented somewhere else. If you are looking for seclusion, privacy & no beach access if you don't have a vehicle, stay here. If you want the beach and all the amenities that Iguana has to offer, make sure you stay somewhere behind the 2nd gate. If you have a car or motorcycle you can drive to the surrounding beaches that are only like 15-20 minutes away.

In terms of privacy and tranquility, you couldn"t expect more. The house is beautiful and spacious, surrounded by nature. We enjoyed a lot.

Borealis was a home away from home with all the amenities expected in a high end property. The home is spacious yet is cozy at the same time with 2 separate bedrooms or as I call it 2 masters with their bath. The kitchen is deserving of a chef approval with all the gadgets necessary to cook a five star meal. The ventilation was great due to 3 big ceiling fans in the main area where no AC is needed. The pool has an infinity side and the water temp was great for cooling off after dinner. The only challenge was getting to the property. Do not attempt to get there without a 4X4 during the rainy season as told by Roger. Roger was extremely helpful and went beyond what was asked of him. His attention to details was phenomenal and made us feel at home. All in all I would come back and spend more time enjoying the property.

This place and host are exceptional. I have stayed at many AirBnBs, constantly for the last six months. Roger is, by far, the best host I have had: very attentive, helpful, responsive and easy, without being intrusive. He speaks English as well as most in the USA. The place is lovely! Big bedrooms, great beds and linens, AC and ceiling fans, great pool with outside bathrooms, 4 nice TVs, Netflix, big wonderful bathrooms, giant bathtubs, shaded outside bar, eating area and barbecue, great kitchen, beautiful everything. The pool and grounds are regularly and well maintained. Excellent value. It is a couple of miles from most of the Iguana resort facilities, which are available to guests, so most would want a motor vehicle or bicycle, which can be rented there. The resort, golf course and beach are lovely! Great beach bar with a good happy hour scene. Excellent surfing in season, and boards can be rented at the resort. Resort restaurant dining is available. The house itself is quiet and secluded. Super pleasant. I recommend this highly!

Casa Borealis is a beautiful home. My son and I really enjoyed swimming in the pool and hiking around the mountain side. Roger was very helpful and responsive to all of our questions and any needs that we had. Highly recommended

Truly a great experience. We arrived at night driving in the middle of the forest to suddenly find this beautiful and pampering house. You can definitely feel the care and attention that has been put in both the big and little details. Roger was super responsive and courteous despite my endless questions. Casa Borealis it's an amazing property located a few km outside Hacienda Iguana. The house it's isolated and perfect to relax and have a quiet time and still close to the beach club and market inside Iguana.           Roger is a great host replying messages very quickly and helping with everything. The house it's off grid so the power it's provided by solar panels and a generator, works great. The house looks new, the pool it's great and having a barbecue it's a plus. Great place to stay and relax.

Roger Alberto is a great host and the man who takes care of the grounds is outstanding. The pool is lovely, the house is lovely and spacious. And the grounds are kept beautifully. It's in the description, but renters should be aware that the house is only powered by solar power which can only run the air conditioning for a maximum of a few hours. After that, there's a backup generator which will kick in-if you pay for the gas. That being said, if you don't run the a/c the panels give plenty of electric for lights and fans, and we found with windows open we were comfortable.

I did just wanted to clarify that the solar system does allow for sufficient use of up to 12-16 hours with normal electric consumption. As a alternative energy home we encourage our renters to be consuious about their electrical usage but also provide the creature comforts that one would find anywhere else and hope that our guests can find a balance between them. Moderrn luxury in rustic, natural setting.  Casa Borealis is within the Hacienda Iguana property but not right on the beach.  It is set in the woods with some neighbors but very private and quiet.  The pool was awesome.  The internet great, as is the cable, a/c and kitchen amenities.  The bed was king and very comfy.  If you love nature we saw so many birds on the property and down in the river bed which is dry this time of year.  We had monkeys with their babies pass right by us in the morning while drinking our coffee.  Every afternoon we would drive down to the beach and watch the sunset which was spectacular.  Roger and his team were very helpful, polite and kind.  We hope to be back some day!!

This is a beautiful home right outside the Hacienda Iguana entrance. The home seems brand new with granite counter tops, Jacuzzi size tubs, AC in the bedrooms, and a lovely private pool. The host is great about providing the little things, such as access to NETFLIX, floats for the pool, etc. to make your stay that much more comfortable. Driving to the location is difficult without a 4x4, so make sure your vehicle is prepared. The house manager Alfredo is very hospitable and super nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to re-visit soon.
