The Space

It is ideal for families, groups, and digital nomads seeking a peaceful and inspiring environment.
The centerpiece of the property is a private cenote—a natural underground swimming pool featuring impressive rock formations and crystal-clear water filtered through a natural bio-system of rocks, minerals, and plants. Guests can swim, relax, and reconnect with nature in complete seclusion.

Private Cenote
Access your private cenote via stone steps leading down into a cave adorned with ancient stalactites. The water quality naturally varies with rainfall and seasonal changes—sometimes crystal clear, other times more earthy in appearance. Guests are advised to bring water shoes for comfort while swimming.
Outdoor Space
The property includes lush gardens filled with orchids, fruit trees, and lilies, alongside a Koi pond and a walking trail through the private jungle. Guests can unwind on the terrace or arrange on-site spa treatments such as massages, facials, or manicures with advance notice.

Additional Information
- The owner lives on-site in a separate apartment with quiet dogs. She respects guests’ privacy but is available for assistance if needed.
- The cenote is a natural water pool with changing conditions. Rain and seasonal factors can cause the water to become cloudy and less inviting for swimming. The listing’s cover photo was taken when the cenote was recently cleaned and at its clearest.
- A private trail winds around the property, leading to the Koi pond. Closed shoes or trainers are recommended for walking this path.
- Airport transfers and car rentals can be arranged with sufficient advance notice and incur additional costs.
- Guests receive a push-button key to open the electric gate for unrestricted access. Lost gate remotes must be replaced at a cost of 2,000 pesos.
About Toh Ha Spa
The name "Toh Ha Spa" has Mayan origins:
- "Toh" refers to the turquoise-browed motmot (Eumomota superciliosa), a majestic bird that nests in rocks and crevices within cenotes and caves. Up to five pairs nest on the property from March to June, with up to ten birds frequently flying in and out of the cave, making it a paradise for bird watchers.
- "Ha" means water in Mayan, referencing the cenote. Rivers in the Yucatán Peninsula run underground through caves, and when water is visible at an opening, it is called a cenote.
- "Spa" highlights the excellent spa services available on-site, including massages, facials, and treatments provided by Chahat, the in-house beauty therapist. The spa menu is provided before arrival for prebooking treatments.
Nature and Wildlife
The tranquil surroundings offer a unique experience, but the jungle environment may not suit everyone. Guests should expect to see occasional geckos, spiders, ants, and other small creatures. Natural sounds include a chorus of birds, frogs, and crickets, with occasional distant highway noise.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire property and can come and go freely using the electric gate remote provided.

The home was pristine. The yard was the selling point. The host was beyond helpful & kind. She gave recommendations, helped with issues, & checked up on us. I commend her for her hospitality That said, the home needs upgrades -The cenote's VERY hard to get out of. I'd recommend a new ladder that goes down deeper -We were told that no toilet paper be flushed down the toilets. I suggest installing bidet attachments. -The projector in the living room had no options to stream anything. There was a cord for you to connect a phone or laptop, but none of us brought a laptop and none of our phones were compatible, so we could never watch anything. I suggest buying a firestick -The stove/oven was very hard to use & there's no microwave -More portable fans since only the bedrooms have AC. There was only 1 fan and it was on it's last leg -The optional rental car needs it's AC checked -Some showers get 3 minutes of hot water & need new shower heads -Mattress topper cushions ❤️ the dogs

Vickie and I communicated many times before our stay at her place. She was very active in ensuring that all was organized and great. For example, she made arrangements for the airport shuttle. Seamless. She had ideas and suggestions that we would not have found on our own. The house is huge and very good for our three generation family outing. The kids loved the cenote and the game room. Very relaxing. Vickie is not very far from Puerto Aventuras and a large grocery store. We'd love to stay again!

Vickie’s place was better than we could have imagined!! We would highly recommend staying here. The house is beautiful and the grounds are private and peaceful. The cenote right in front of the house makes this Airbnb one of a kind! The coy pond, small trails, and many more spots for relaxing were all wonderful as well. The time spent at the house was better than anything we could do in the area. The kitchen was large and well stocked and the rooms/bathrooms were large and very clean. Vickie was a fantastic host. She was as very kind, friendly, and responsive.

Vickie and her place was amazing and even better than expected. We were two families/party of 8 and enjoyed every bit of our stay. We also enjoyed private chef Tina’s amazing meal for such a delicious and memorable Christmas Eve meal. The property is so amazing including the wildlife and my favourite, the toucans! It felt extremely safe and secure and we all loved her dogs too. Vickie is so wonderful we highly recommend and would come back again for sure. Thank you so much for everything.

What a wonderful place Vickie has created. The house is beautiful, but where it really shines is outside. Lounging in the cenote, watching the birds and lizards, giving the resident dogs some scritches - so relaxing. The main purpose of our trip was to dive cenotes, you couldn't have a better location. A couple days our dives were just minutes away. Vickie was wonderful, so kind and friendly. She was always super responsive when we had questions and gave us great tips on the local area. 10/10 will absolutely stay here again next we are in the area.
