Villa Calula

The place was wonderful for our stay. Accomodations were worth it and the beach club is a wonderful addition. Woukd stay again.

This place was newer and modern. Huge bedrooms and great baths. The security guard at the gate was nice and the club pool was great. The kids loved the ice cream shakes at the swim up bar. Beach was walkable from the house. However, like others stated- surfing beach, not swimming. The black sand was so cool and beautiful views at the beach. It was nice having beach towels and toys available. The little backyard was small but great for a little dip in the plunge pool and sitting. There is a great Empanada shop (Empanadas y Mas) 7 minutes north on the main road.

We were two families in this home and there was plenty of space for all of us. It was really helpful to have separate bathrooms for each room. The space was as described and the hosts were very easy to get ahold of. The kids loved having a pool in the backyard but also access to the bigger common pool. The beach is beautiful but perhaps a little too dangerous for swimming most times. There were sand toys and other games to help entertain as well. We really only have positive things to say and would come back without hesitation!

Beautiful house, well positioned with the added benefit of the beach club pool and restaurant. Short walk to the beautiful Pacific coast. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. You need a car to visit restaurants and shops but we managed for 3 days without one. Would recommend a stay here. Thank you.

Prachtige villa op loopafstand van het strand! Alles is nieuw, schoon en netjes onderhouden. Het zwembad is prachtig en het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. We zouden hier zeker terug gaan!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is exactly as pictured. A beautiful, clean home in the middle of paradise. There was a pool guy to clean the pool daily. The water in the showers were sufficiently warm. The AC units did a great job of cooling the place. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast. The beach club was very nice the food at the restaraunt was pricey but well worth it. We didn’t have a car, but there are plenty of Ubers in the area for cheap $2-10 usd. The recommendations that the host provided were great. We were able to book an ATV excursion as well as a half day boat tour to turtle Island (highly recommend costa cats for the tortuga island cruise). All in all, we had a great time and the host was very nice and very responsive. She checked in daily to ensure that we were enjoying our stay.

I booked this house to celebrate with 6 of my friends for my birthday. From the beginning, the host was very responsive with directions, recommendations and answers to questions that I had for my birthday trip with the girls. We used the transportation company that the host recommended for airport pick/drop offs as well as to visit one of the waterfalls. We did not use the amenities that were offered on the property only because we booked several excursions during our stay. The house itself is beautiful, spacious and well maintained. The plus was the bathroom for each of the rooms especially when traveling with so many girls. The pool was warm and inviting as well. We used a chef during our stay and the host provided them with their own code for the house so that they could come in and out if we hadn't arrived yet.

Beautiful house! It was perfect our group and we all had our own bathroom. We were busy with activities so didn’t get to check out the beach club, but the location is very close to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at Playa Hermosa. Easy in and out, and communications. Adolf's house was as pictured - beautiful, fully loaded modern kitchen, private pool and beach club access. Great home for a family and for just a couple. Great location, easy to get back and forth into Jaco. We hope to return in the future. Chris

We had a wonderful stay. We were 3 couples. The house was beautiful, spacious and well equipped. We loved the plunge pool and outdoor area. We saw macaws, toucans, iguanas and howler monkeys from the backyard. The beach club pool was just a short walk away as well as the beach. The beach was beautiful and we could walk barefoot for several kilometres. Yo-Yo’s restaurant/swim up bar had delicious food and great drinks. Lara was super responsive and very helpful with any questions we had. We used Alejandro for our airport transfers and he was reasonably priced and always punctual. We would highly recommend this house for your next trip. We can hardly wait to go back!!
