The Space
Villa Roya is a recently constructed property ideally located on a quiet cul-de-sac between the lively town of Tamarindo and the upscale Langosta community. It offers a perfect blend of privacy and convenience, with a 2-minute walk to Tamarindo Beach and a 5-minute walk to Tamarindo town center.
Each private, detached studio suite is designed for comfort and privacy. The suites include:
- King-size bed with individual pocket-coil mattress and blackout drapes for restful sleep
- Ensuite bathroom with rain shower and instant hot water heating
- Refrigerator/freezer
- Coffee maker with locally produced 100% Arabica dark-roast coffee provided
- Open shelving and hanging space for clothing
- Work desk
- Safe
- Air conditioning with pass-through wall vents for efficient airflow
- Premium bedding, pillows, washroom towels, and pool/beach towels supplied
Guests can relax in the shared saltwater pool featuring full-length underwater bench seating. The outdoor area also includes a teak deck, sun loungers with umbrellas, an outdoor shower for rinsing after the beach, and a covered terrace dining space with overhead fans to stay cool.
Location
Villa Roya is situated directly across from Tamarindo Beach, known as a world-famous surfers' paradise with breathtaking sunsets. The property is within walking distance of:
- Tamarindo Beach (2 minutes)
- Restaurants, food courts, bars, nightlife, grocery stores, pharmacies, and shopping (5 minutes)
The property borders two protected ravine and forested areas, offering a lush canopy frequented by birds and monkeys. Guests may also spot iguanas, geckos, frogs, turtles, and other wildlife, enhancing the tranquil tropical atmosphere.

Guest Access
Studio guests have private, locked access to their individual suites and shared access to the saltwater pool, pool loungers, outdoor pool shower, covered pool terrace dining area, and entrance/parking area.
Please note that guests do not have access to the main house, rear terrace, or pool mechanical room.
Other Information
Tamarindo is undergoing significant development, including construction near the property. Occasional daytime construction noise may occur. Pricing has been adjusted to reflect any potential inconvenience.

A great option for visiting Tamarindo. The hosts were great greeting us with cold beer and coconuts. They had a ton of information about the best restaurants, things to do, and live music each night. We barely saw the other guests and felt like we had the place to ourself. Very private. Also walkable to all the restaurants and shops in tamarindo and walkable to the Langosta beach. Don’t hesitate to book this place! Jason and Kathy are amazing hosts and people.

We had the most WONDERFUL time at Villa Roya! Jason and Kathy were the most friendly and helpful hosts I’ve ever had. They greeted us with beer and coconuts and showed us around. The room was beautiful and clean, the pool and shared terrace was awesome, even as the other rooms were rented, we didn’t encounter anyone else so everything felt super private. The location was only a 5 min walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Jason sent us tons of recommendations, including nightly live music. We had the BEST food at Tropic Tamarindo, the ceviche and brisket were to die for. Jason and Kathy exceeded our expectations as hosts, and the stay was fabulous. If we find ourselves in CR again, we will be staying here!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa near Tamarindo! The villa is in excellent condition—modern, stylish, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Jason and Kathy are fantastic hosts—so friendly and welcoming! They provided us with plenty of helpful information about local activities, making it easy to explore and enjoy everything Tamarindo has to offer. Their hospitality truly made our experience even better. If you’re looking for a peaceful, luxurious, and well-located place to stay, I highly recommend this villa. I had such an amazing time and would love to return!

An excellent place from many aspects. First, the property is relaxing, perfectly designed, clean and feels like a quiet spa behind inside the gate and walls. Tamarindo is a blast but it can be nice to home somewhere quiet and this is it. Second, the casitas nice and clean. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower. Third, and maybe the biggest factor, the best hosts. Jason and Kathy are excellent. They provide so much information about Tamarindo and the area. They are very friendly and make the stay so much more enjoyable. Tamarindo is great and when I return will definitely stay here again. Villa Roya is the place to stay.

The perfect place to stay in Tamarindo! Private and secure quarters in a great location, only a short walk to the beach and everything you need. The accomodation is stylish and clean, and creates an ideal environment to relax and recharge. Jason and Kathy are excellent hosts; so welcoming and helpful. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Le studio est très confortable, très propre, une bonne odeur agréable. Nous avons adoré le matelas et surtout la douceur des draps. La piscine est extraordinaire et le cadre très verdoyant. Kathy & Jason sont accueillants et de bons conseils. Nous avons très bien dîner à chaque fois grâce à leurs recommandations. Le wifi fonctionne bien et la douche est toujours chaude. sincèrement, il ne manque rien pour passer de superbes vacances. La plage est accessible à pieds. Nous avons aimé les beaux couchés de soleil. Nous sommes ravis d'avoir choisi précisément ce quartier qui n'est pas dans l'agitation de la ville. Parfait encore merci pour tout 😍

We loved our stay and Jason and Kathy beautiful Airbnb. They were the best hosts and made our stay so special! Love their studio we stayed in and how close their place was to the beach and also enjoyed the pool at their location also. Loved their recommendations of activities they suggested for us each day to do and also so many great places to eat. We would highly recommend staying at Jason and Kathy's place and feel like they really wanted us to have the best time while we were in Costa Rica!

Loved my stay with Kathy & Jason, beautiful accommodation, amazing hosts. I would stay with them again in a heartbeat. I love the Langosta end of Tamarindo and it was so perfect for me. Quiet and very welcoming.
