My family loved staying at Curt’s beautiful place. It is just as picturesque as the photos show. The complimentary breakfast and optional dinner were both delicious, and they even accommodated vegans. One note for future guests: the road leading up to the house is very windy and bumpy - even some of our family members who do not get carsick were feeling it a little. The place was worth it, though! I’d definitely stay again and just take some Dramamine before the drive.

We had a great time at Casa Cielo, w/ a few notes for improvement. We’ve sent a private note to Curt suggesting our improvements, & if these things also matter to you, you may want to follow up to see if they’ve been addressed! WE LOVED: 1) The main level has huge windows & the deck is stunning. 2) The house is huge & easily accommodated our family of 8. 3) Vielka's cooking was so delicious. Her food is inventive & perfectly seasoned. WE DIDN'T LOVE: 1) Curt is so kind and a wealth of info, but there were times his presence distracted from our privacy. Depending on your level of comfort, you might communicate the level of engagement you want w/ him & whether you prefer his company in the mornings. 2) The house has non-dimmable, bright, & blue-toned lights which made evening hangs less cozy. 3) No reading lamps or nightstands n bedrooms. 4) The pool is quite small. We still had a great time in it, but just know going in that it is small. 5) The house is a hike from La Fortuna.

This place is a must stay! Curt is the best host that we’ve had! Very knowledgeable and caring for ecological conservation The place is absolutely amazing. We were surrounded in the beauty of Costa Rica at his house. Breakfast every morning was unbelievable!

Beautiful home surrounded by a beautiful landscape. So peaceful and inviting. Curt was a wonderful and welcoming host. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and felt so at home. Thank you for making our first Costa Rica trip wonderful!

I cannot say enough great things about this place and the owner and the chef and housekeeper. Staying here is what truly made our experience magical. Curt went above and beyond in answering questions about things to do, the area, and the house. The breakfasts were insanely delicious and we added a dinner that was fantastic! I highly recommend this place and having cook a dinner for you. Hands down, if I ever come back I will stay here again!

La villa est une source d’énergie pour toute personne à la recherche d’authenticité au Costa Rica. L’accueil de notre hôte a été exemplaire. Nous avons adoré notre séjour au rythme de la nature.

Sin duda volveria a quedarme en casa de Curt, es extraordinaria, tiene un lago con una vista espectacular. inmersa en la selva, te sientes que eres parte realmente de toda la naturaleza que rodea la casa. Las atenciones de Curt y su equipo fueron impresionantes, la estadía te incluye el desayuno que ellos mismos preparan, el cual es delicioso y super basto. Curt (el dueño de la propiedad) se acerca mientras esta el desayuno para platicarte sobre todo lo que hizo para conseguir crear ese espectáculo lugar. Así como también, nos compartía sugerencias de actividades a realizar. el ingreso es un poco largo, pero realmente vale la pena por lo maravilloso que es la casa junto con su lago.. La fortuna y todas las actividades de interés se encuentran a 30 minutos. Un gusto poder compartir estos dias con Curt y todos en casa. Un abrazo.

Fantastic stay! Curt made us feel right at home. The included breakfast was delicious and we added the dinners every night which was just as good. Overall it was such an amazing stay that our group didn’t want to leave. Will definitely be going back!

We have stayed at over 50+ AirBNBs over the years and this place is now our new favorite. We loved the open outdoor living but also being able to sleep with air conditioning in the night. The wildlife was absolutely our favorite part. We saw monkeys and toucans everyday without even trying to find them. The chef service was on the pricier side but was absolutely delicious and the chefs were fun to be around.
