The Space

Kaloka is a private beach retreat featuring 12 rooms, located just 800 meters from Playa Jacó. The property includes 10 fully equipped studios designed to offer comfort, privacy, and a sense of community. Spread over two floors, the complex has five studios on the ground level and five upstairs. Among these, two are two-bedroom units, providing flexibility and ample space for groups.

Ideal for families and friends, Kaloka accommodates up to 24 guests comfortably, with most units also offering sofa beds for additional sleeping space. Each studio includes a full kitchen, Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, individual living areas, and work desks. Guests have access to a shared pool and outdoor lounges. Daily housekeeping maintains the cleanliness of common areas, and extra cleaning services can be arranged upon request.

Bedrooms and Living Areas

Each suite showcases a modern, relaxed design with clean lines, quality finishes, and artistic touches. Bedrooms are furnished with king or queen beds, and most units include sofa beds to host extra guests. For comfort, every room is equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning mini-splits. One or two wall-mounted TVs are available for streaming or satellite viewing.

The decor features elegant nightstands, ambient lighting, and tasteful accents. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto private terraces, balconies, or porches overlooking the pool and hanging plants. The color palette combines white, gray, and black, enhanced by tropical floral and animal-themed wallpaper.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are bright, spacious, and designed with both comfort and style in mind. Unique hanging lightbulb fixtures add character, while black marble sinks and living wall plants enhance the atmosphere. Each bathroom is stocked with plush towels, washcloths, and eco-friendly toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, and soap, providing everything needed for a refreshing start or relaxing end to your day.

Kitchen

Every studio features a modern kitchen with granite countertops and black stools, equipped for cooking and dining with ease. Whether preparing a hearty breakfast or enjoying a relaxed evening with wine, you will find all essentials on hand.

Kitchen amenities include:

• Basic cooking supplies (oil, salt, pepper)
• Fresh Costa Rican coffee
• Electric stovetop, full refrigerator and freezer
• Microwave, toaster oven, and blender (available on request)
• Pots, pans, knives, and cooking utensils
• Wine glasses, mugs, and reusable containers

While there is no shared indoor dining area, most groups enjoy gathering outdoors by the poolside terrace or covered deck, which offer ample seating for group meals. Some guests designate one studio as a “main kitchen,” and a private chef service is available to prepare meals in-studio, served in the breezy outdoor dining spaces.

Workstation

Remote workers are welcome at Kaloka. Each studio provides a dedicated wooden desk and chair, creating a comfortable workspace surrounded by tropical tranquility.

Outdoor Areas

The centerpiece of Kaloka is a jade-colored pool nestled within lush tropical gardens, palm trees, and hanging vines. The outdoor space encourages relaxation, whether you want to swim in the morning or enjoy cocktails at sunset. Shared areas are maintained daily to ensure a clean and inviting environment throughout your stay.

This retreat is perfect for family reunions, yoga retreats, or group getaways, offering a private setting to create lasting memories in Jacó.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive use of the entire complex during their stay, including all 10 private studios, the shared pool, garden lounge areas, and secure on-site parking within the gated property. Each studio operates independently, providing a balance of privacy and communal space.

Start your day with breakfast on your private terrace, spend afternoons by the pool, and gather for meals under the palm trees in the outdoor dining areas. Check-in is simple via a lockbox system, and a local team is available by message to assist during your stay.

Please note: The on-site laundry area is reserved for staff. Laundry service is available to guests upon request for an additional fee of $10 per load.

Cleaning Services

Full-time housekeeping staff maintain the cleanliness of shared spaces daily. In-studio cleaning can be requested at any time with the following options:

• Light Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and basic kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom tidying.

Private Chef Service

A local chef can be arranged to prepare meals in one of the studio kitchens and serve them in the outdoor dining area, ideal for group gatherings by the pool.

Security

Nighttime security personnel can be arranged if requested in advance. Please inform us prior to your arrival to coordinate this service.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During this time, all group activities must move indoors, and noise levels should be kept low to avoid disturbing neighbors.
