Villa Casanueva is a luxury villa ideal for large groups, offering stunning ocean views, a shared pool, and close proximity to the beach. Nestled on a lush hillside overlooking the clear blue waters of Roatan Island, this five-bedroom home accommodates up to 11 guests. It provides a perfect setting to relax, unwind, and enjoy exceptional island living.
The Space
Located in West Bay on the southern tip of Roatan Island, Villa Casanueva is just minutes away from world-famous scuba diving spots, water sports on pristine white sand beaches, and scenic hikes through tropical jungle landscapes.
The surrounding area features a variety of restaurants, beach bars, coffee shops, souvenir stores, and rental outlets for diving gear and scooters, making it easy to explore the island during your stay.
Inside the villa, you can relax on comfortable couches in the living room while watching cable TV on the wall-mounted screen. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious homemade meals, or you can use the outdoor barbecue grill to cook fresh catches from the sea.
After dining, take a refreshing swim in the shared pool, use the free WiFi to plan your next adventure, or step out onto the spacious deck to capture breathtaking photos of the Caribbean sunset.

Villa Casanueva includes five bedrooms and four bathrooms:
- Bedroom 1: 1 king bed
- Bedroom 2: 1 king bed

- Bedroom 5: 1 queen bed
Two of the bedrooms are located outside the main villa at the bottom of the stairs. Each of these separate rooms has a private entrance and its own bathroom.

Guest Access
Guests have exclusive access to the villa itself, while the pool and parking areas are shared with Villa Belvedere.
Important Notes
- Power outages may occur unexpectedly as the island does not have a private generator.
- Electricity and water are costly on the island; please conserve usage by turning off air conditioning when leaving the property or when doors and windows are open. Additional charges may apply if the AC is left on continuously during your stay.
- Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early or late check-in/out may incur an additional fee of $100 or more. Confirm your arrival and departure times one day in advance.
- Additional cleaning services are available upon request for an extra charge.
- This property does not allow pets or service animals, regardless of regulations in your home country. Violations will result in extra fees. Contact us for pet-friendly alternatives.
Flights and Travel Information
- Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay to enter Honduras.
- Direct flights to Roatan (RTB) are offered by American Airlines (from Miami and Dallas), United Airlines (from Houston and Denver), and Delta Airlines (from Atlanta).

This place was an absolute gem! The house was incredibly comfortable, accommodating a large group without any hassle. We were thrilled to use the fully equipped laundry room and all the amenities, including shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, and clothes softener. I highly recommend this place to anyone hosting a big group. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive, always ready to answer any questions or provide suggestions for activities or places to eat. We were fortunate enough to extend our check-out stay for an additional fee, which was a lifesaver since our flight was scheduled for late afternoon. We had an incredible time and will definitely be returning. A huge thank you to Islaya Vacation Rentals for hosting us!

The pictures truly don’t show how beautiful this home actually is!! This is my first time booking an Airbnb and the way everyone was so attentive and one text away. Our concierge Josh was amazing the communication was 10/10. He helped me with booking a car rental, I appreciated how he responded to all my questions and concerns. This home was received impeccable. This home is kid and elderly friendly. I love how close the beach and mini market was (8min walk). Overall it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend!!

This home was well beyond our expectations , the pictures truly don’t show how great this home is . We had a family trip and we where all very comfortable the home was big enough for all of us , we enjoyed the pool very much and loved going to the placita which is very close. I really liked how one stop sent over a staff member to give us a tour and he explained everything we needed to know and also gave us recommendations of restaurants, resorts for a day pass and so much more . Overall this home was a 10 out of 10 for a everyone in my group my children also enjoyed it very much .

The place looked like the pictures and the building was pretty, but overall it felt too expensive for what we got. A cat died on the property while we were there, and it took too long to be picked up. The manager answered all my messages, but I wish he had communicated earlier that no one would come until the next day. When they removed the cat, they didn’t sanitize the area — we had to do it. We also saw cockroaches and a rat. I get it’s an island, but seeing that inside wasn’t pleasant. The listing doesn’t mention two cats that roam the area, which should be disclosed. The pool wasn’t enjoyable — it was too deep, even for adults. The space is very open, so we had to watch our toddler constantly. The walk to the beach is long, steep, and shared with cars. It is not ideal for kids or anyone with mobility issues. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, but you barely see the sea. Overall, it has potential, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children.

Pictures do not do this home justice! We absolutely loved it. The only thing I will say if you do not have a vehicle, you will need to be in good cardiac health to walk up the steep hill to get there. It was a fun adventure for our family!

Bien que nous ayons eu qq soucis à l’arrivée avec l’électricité et le gaz, l’hôte nous répondait toujours très vite, service impeccable. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. Mes recommandations seraient d’ajouter des éléments pour des jeunes enfants (vaisselles, petit banc pour lavabo, par exemple). Parfait endroit pour grande famille qui donne beaucoup d’intimité avec 2 chambres totalement équipées séparées de l’habitation principale.
