Overview
Organic Punta Riel is a bioconstruction project that utilizes alternative materials such as structural containers combined with modern finishes. This creates a contemporary Caribbean-style home featuring comfortable living areas nestled within the Costa Rican rainforest. The property provides secure rooms, an organic edible garden, and convenient access to major local attractions like Cahuita National Park. It is an ideal retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation.
The Space
The house is situated in Punta Riel along National Route 36, positioned between the Caribbean villages of Cahuita and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. Surrounding the home are gardens filled with native edible plants, including bananas, pineapples, soursop (guanabana), and cas.
Organic Punta Riel serves as the base for a large agroecological initiative that incorporates permaculture systems focused on sustainable production. This project harmonizes with the agroecotourism activities developed throughout Costa Rica’s Southern Caribbean region.
Guests are welcome to use complimentary bicycles provided on-site.
Guest Access
Visitors have access to the edible gardens and may harvest certain plants and fruits for personal use. The house features a shared kitchen available during designated hours and subject to house rules.
Additional communal spaces include two living rooms, a dining area, and a relaxation zone equipped with hammocks.

Das Haus war wunderschön, die Sauberkeit natürlich nicht top, bei der Art und Weise des Hauses (offene Küche/Wohnbereich, viele Fenster und offene Bereiche) aber logisch und sollte man mit rechnen. Der Host war ein Traum, hat einem immer direkt geantwortet wenn man fragen hatte und hat uns einen Traumstrand mit kleiner Wanderung durch den Dschungel, nahe des airbnbs empfohlen. Die Umgebung war ruhig und trotz dessen dass das airbnb etwas abgelegen ist noch gut erreichbar.

Una casa hermosa, con todas las comodidades necesarias. En la propiedad viven unos perritos muy amigables, Fabián es un gran anfitrión. Gracias por hospedarnos

El lugar es muy bonito y el anfitrión es una excelente persona. Sin embargo, hubo algunos aspectos que no dejaron completamente satisfecha a mi familia. La cocina se indica como compartida, lo cual se entiende para huéspedes que alquilan habitaciones individuales, pero en nuestro caso alquilamos toda la casa. Aun así, en varias ocasiones nos encontramos con una amiga del anfitrión e incluso con él mismo utilizando el espacio, lo cual resultó un poco incómodo. Además, hay dos perros que con frecuencia se acercaban a donde estábamos; aunque no son agresivos, asustaban a los niños. Pero si es un lugar que puedo recomendar 100% si lo anterior mencionado no es un problema.

Bonito lugar, excelente recibimiento por parte de Fabián y su ayudante. Es una casa amplia, con un entorno muy natural, buen parqueo. Las habitaciones en perfecto estado e higiene. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos mucho, perfectamente podríamos volver.

It really needs cleaning. There are excessive bees and insects, even spiders in showers, beds and kitchen. We all got lot of bites. It made no sense

Estuvimos hospedados toda mi familia, y el trato de Fabian fue excelente, siempre hubo comunicación y el lugar era igual a las fotos.

Lugar agradable, aunque me hubiese gustado que el anuncio dijera que habían 2 huéspedes más en el lugar, ya que había apartado el lugar entero.
