The Space
Villa Nectar is a modern-style villa situated on a mountain overlooking Uvita and the town center. Positioned in front of a forest, it offers beautiful ocean views. The villa provides a peaceful retreat surrounded by Costa Rica's wildlife and is conveniently close to many of the country's popular activities, including beaches.
This property was originally built for personal use because of a deep appreciation for the area. The villa is designed in a contemporary European style. Guests can often spot birds and monkeys in the forest nearby. It serves as a tranquil haven to relax and experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica.

Nous avons passé 10 jours à Casa Nectar. La maison correspond à l’annonce : spacieuse, deux grandes chambres climatisées et cuisine complète. À noter l’absence de hotte, ce qui peut occasionner de la fumée en cuisinant. Jessica est discrète et très réactive. La maison et la piscine montrent toutefois des signes d’usure et gagneraient à être rafraîchies. La propriété est entourée de végétation et l’environnement est extrêmement calme. Durant notre séjour, la vue était presque entièrement obstruée par les arbres et nous ne distinguions pas l’océan, contrairement à ce que suggèrent les photos. L’expérience s’apparente donc davantage à une immersion en pleine jungle. Un 4x4 est indispensable en raison de la pente et de l’état accidenté de la route. Nous avons néanmoins passé un excellent séjour et recommandons l’endroit aux amateurs de tranquillité et de nature.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Villa Nectar. Nous avons vu beaucoup d’animaux différents, des singes hurleurs, des capucins, plusieurs oiseaux, nous avions des lézards basilic, un couple, qui venaient se baigner à tous les jours dans la piscine. Nous les avons nommés, Rogelio & Rogelia! La route pour se rendre à la maison requiert un 4x4 mais l’emplacement est idéal car c’est tout près d’Uvita et il y a plusieurs excellents restaurants à moins de 15 minutes de route. Nous avons eu quelques problèmes avec des équipements de la maison mais Jessica a été très réactive et s’est toujours occupée de tenter de régler les problèmes rapidement. La maison est telle qu’indiquée dans l’annonce, les deux chambres sont spacieuses, les salles de bain comfortables. Cependant il y plusieurs équipements qui seraient à renouveler. La cuisine est assez bien équipée mais tout est un peu usé et il manque un peu d’entretien en général.

We had a lovely stay with birds, monkeys, iguanas and even a coati came by! Great place to relax, with a fun drive up and down the hill. Jessica was there to greet us and was a lovely host. If you like to get away from it all, this place is perfect. Amazing dawn chorus with howler monkeys!

We spend a week at this amazing house. Our kids and us had the most fabulous time. The host is incredibly communicative and super friendly. Everything was instantly taken care of. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and I love how the living space has just the right amount of furniture. It took a few days, but we did eventually get a big group of howler monkeys visiting us. We saw toucans, parrots, and lots of hummingbirds, and morpho butterflies. It's increadibly private, amazing view, and we even enjoyed the steep road up and down. We would definitely stay there any time again.

Jessica was a great host, we really enjoyed our stay. We were happy we booked a place with AC. All the bird sounds and monkeys climbing through the trees were a great bonus!

We had a fantastic stay at Jean-Paul’s. Jessica was there to greet us when we arrived and was very informative and there to help when needed! The place was exactly as described and perfect for our family. We ended up seeing the macaws and toucans on a regular basis while sitting poolside! We had a fantastic stay!

Beautiful home in the hills above Uvita. Our weeks stay was February, mostly dry with a few nights of rain. The road to the home is dirt but overall pretty good, one grade is quite steep at the end. From main hwy, drive is about 7 minutes to the home. The private pool was enjoyable. Note the 2nd bedroom/bath are accessed off the patio NOT through the main home. Bedrooms have AC. Kitchen had what we needed for cooking. Jessica, the owner is very friendly and responsive with the couple requests we had. Wifi is good and washer/dryer were super to have since we had a 2nd week in CR. Very enjoyable stay convenient to Uvita and the towns and sights of the area.

Jessica and the house were great. She greeted us after a late check in and was very flexible with us. The house had gorgeous views and the pool was beautiful. We spent most of our days out of the house but hanging out at night by the pool and the living room were comfortable and great. The house was very clean and came with all the towels and things we needed. The washer and dryer were a great addition. Waking up to the sounds of nature was so peaceful and relaxing. Jessica let us know when the animals were close so we could see them and take pics. One time power went out but Jessica was quick to let us know and quick to let us know when it came back on. Her communication was awesome. The drive to the house is a good 7 minute off road 4x4 situation but Jessica helped us figure it out our first night. We would definitely recommend this house and hopefully can come back to visit Jessica and her family and see the Uvita area again. Pura Vida!!!
