My place is in the hustle and bustle of Uvita. It is a short walk to the waterfall (Catarata de Uvita), restaurants/dining, and essential services (bank, grocery, bus station). The beach (Whale's Tail/Parque Nacional Marino Ballena) is a 7 min drive, so is Playa Hermosa. You’ll love my place because it is centrally located, modern and gated. The space The guests can use the entire private cabina. There is a Tiny Home and a 2 bedroom house on the same property. The studio apartment is a 5 meter by 6 meter stand alone structure, equipped with a full kitchen (large fridge, electric coffee maker, gas range, microwave, blender), and private washroom. The bathroom has a hot shower, rock sink, backlit mirror and ceiling fan. There is an island in the kitchen for two people to sit at and a love seat in the main living space. Inside the cabina there is a TV that connects to Wifi (no cable, but we do provide an HMDI cable connector). There is also a desk and office chair. The main studio area is equipped with AC. There is a deck attached via patio doors and there is an outdoor couch outside and a table set for two. If you are awake around 5 am you will likely hear the Howler Monkeys by the river nearby. Scarlet Macaws frequently pass above late day - that is the squawking sound you will hear - look up, they fly in pairs. They have also started coming with regularity to eat at the almond tree. If you hear nuts falling and something in the tree be quiet and you can observe them. The excited chirping sounds, kinda squeaky, are green parrots, look in the trees in front of the property they hang out there, up in the branches, the social club for the birdies happens late day. 6 min from Envision Festival site. There is also a dedicated parking space available for a medium sized vehicle inside the gated property. Other things to note Most mornings we hear the Howler monkeys. Every morning we wake up with birds chirping, and in the evenings, almost daily now we hear the Scarlet Maccaws or Green Parots as they fly home at dusk/night. We have a resident iguana, Fred. He likes to sunbathe and eat hibiscus flowers. There is also a group of white egrets that come with regularity and you will see them looking for food in the field with the trees or taking flight every now and again. There are two cats on the property. They are friendly but they should not be allowed in the cabina (Minette, the oldest will try! Just shoo her and she knows, just testing the waters to see if you know); so for those with allergies, need not worry. There is a dog: Artemis. He is a rescue so vibe counts for everything with him. There are a few local restaurants within a stones throw. Mosaic Wine Bar, Tagua Cafe, Whales Tail Brewery, Los Laureles, and Simbiosa are the closest. There is a corner store, La Canalla, as well as Laundry services within a short walk and just a bit further is the bank, grocery store, bus station and access to essential services like the Information Center and pharmacy. You can get delivery as well, so that's nice to have. Many species of birds are known to visit the property including a variety of hummingbirds, scarlet macaws, green parrots and toucans due to the maturing vegetation. They come and hang out in the almond tree.
