Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire property except for a private owner’s closet.
Additional Information
- The access road to the house is unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially during the rainy season from April to November.
- While the beach and town are reachable on foot, many guests prefer having a car or 4x4 for convenience. Walking downhill to the beach and town is enjoyable, but the return uphill can be challenging, particularly when carrying beach gear or groceries in warm weather.
- Although the house has been recently renovated and modernized, it borders the jungle. Guests may encounter various insects, spiders, and geckos inside and around the home.
- Costa Rica is a developing country, so brief power or water outages may occur during your stay. This is part of the local experience, and guests are advised to be prepared.

Merci beaucoup à Caro et les co hôtes pour leur accueil. Ils ont été très à l’écoute. Nous avions eu un petit problème avec une À/C et ils sont venus voir tout de suite et le problème a été réglé. Les couchées de soleil étaient parfaits. Ils nous ont demander des recommandations pour certaines activités locales. Je recommande sans hésiter :)

We had an amazing stay at Heather’s place! From the start, our co-hosts Jess and Carolina were wonderful—so helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The location is truly breathtaking, with panoramic ocean views and the soothing sound of waves crashing below. It’s just a scenic 5-minute walk down to the beach, perfect for morning walks or even strolling into town if you’d rather skip the drive. Yes, the walk back up the hill is a bit of a workout, but jumping into the pool afterward makes it all worthwhile (and you’ll get your daily exercise in!). We especially enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the evenings, watching the lightning bugs light up all around us—it felt magical. The house itself was comfortable and well equipped—we especially appreciated the strong water pressure in the showers—and we felt very safe the entire time. Highlights of our trip included dinner at Café Casa Esmeralda, the Outback ATV tour, and the delicious gnocchi at Ahora Sí for Italian food. Roots was also a

Gorgeous location, loved the living area and terrace. Kitchen had everything we needed. Host was really responsive and helpful. Sitting in the pool listening to the jungle noises and the ocean and watching fireflies at dusk was a holiday highlight! Thank you for letting us stay

Great house with an amazing view from the terrasse & the pool on the sea, and with all the necessities (AC, wash machine, some indoor & outdoor toys…). Location is perfect in a quiet area (ideal for bird/monkey watching) with a direct access to the beach (we traveled with our two kids from 3 & 5 years old and the path was also good for kids). Communication with Caroline was easy. We really enjoyed our time in Samara!

Beautiful location! We enjoyed the view and the sound of the waves! We felt very safe up on the hill and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Samara and surrounding beaches.
