Our host Sebastian made us feel right at home with a personal meet and greet. The place is amazing! It’s beautiful and spacious. On my next visit I will not hesitate to stay here again!

My three adult kids, their spouses and their children all gathered with me to have a wonderful, week long summer vacation~The two swimming pools, the front yard beach, the nearby restaurants, the close-by attractions were all perfect and easily accessible. Sebastian was SO helpful at checking us in, and then quickly answered all our questions and concerns over the week that we were there. We were very grateful for a beautiful home to gather together~

The Sanctuary is just that! What a beautiful home and location. Being next to the estuary and just about the last home on beachfront was fabulous! The calm, warm waters of the bay were perfect for our family of 10 (2 young children). Honestly, the home is even more special in person. The pools were pristine and the grounds beautifully cared for. We felt super safe with all the security in place by the host, but the area around felt safe and welcoming as well. There are plenty of local restaurants, and Sebastian gave great recommendations and a local market we frequented when grilling. Sunsets every night right in front of us, and howler monkeys at dusk and dawn - could we ask for more? Sebastian was super responsive, linens wonderfully soft, and air conditioning and WiFi perfect. The home was more than we have ever done, but it was worth every penny. Responsible adults are definitely needed with 2 pools and children, but I’d assume all would know this. Amazing place!

Beautiful home right on the water. Plenty of space and privacy. Sebastian was a rock star taking care of us. For a small fee, even did our initial grocery shopping so we had a full kitchen when we checked in.

Our 6-night stay was perfect! There were 9 of us, and the house had more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. The restaurants and beach bars were all within walking distance, which made everything so convenient. The host was very responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Sebastian was amazingly helpful with all our requests and all of his recommendations! The home itself was fabulous from the breathtaking ocean views, to the estuary next door, and the overall elegance of the home. Highly recommend this home, we will definitely come back!!

Our group of 8 loved staying at The Sanctuary. The house was as described with all the amenities someone may need for an extended stay. The location was perfection, sandwiched on a quiet edge of the town between the ocean and an estuary, everything we needed felt perfectly accessible. We were even fortunate enough to have a troop of monkeys pass through the backyard trees one afternoon. Sebastian was a responsive, proactive, and thoughtful host. I would recommend this rental to anyone staying in the area, and have even already discussed returning with friends.

Our family had an great stay at The Sanctuary. The property is in a unique and beautiful location, with the ocean on one side and the estuary on the other. The infinity pool is the perfect place to relax and take in the views. The home was exactly as pictured. It was clean, well-stocked, and ready for us upon arrival. Dee and Sebastian were incredibly responsive and helpful, offering great recommendations for local activities and restaurants. The area felt very safe and we had no concerns exploring. We rented a golf cart during our stay, which made getting around the area easy and enjoyable. We would absolutely book this property again on a future trip to Costa Rica.

The house was beautiful and the location is amazing. The pools are very small but were perfect for us to just hang out in and watch the beach and visit with each other. Sebastian was a helpful, responsive host and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the iguanas and birds in the yard but never saw any other wildlife. Beach access was great! The only downsides: the top floor master bedroom is very warm and the a/c didn’t keep up during the day. It did cool off at night and that’s most important. The three bedrooms on the parking level are not accessible from inside the main house; you have to go outside to access them and this wasn’t clear in the listing. They each have a kitchenette but we didn’t need them, we didn’t want to have food in 2-3 places. There is a half bath down by the outdoor kitchen but there’s no easy place to use a restroom from the main floor pool. Overall, Definitely recommend the house—and the host—but house description could be better.
