My partner and I stayed for a month in the main house, and we wish we could have stayed more. Anthony’s mom is warm, kind and thoughtful and her hospitality reflects that. Her family is also lovely and we enjoyed our time with everyone. The location is convenient even without a car. There’s a close by bus station and Uber, a Walmart, a fruit and veggie stand, butcher/mini grocery within 10/20 minutes walking. The house is quiet, clean and comfortable. We cooked most of our meals and it was easy sharing space with the family. We are bird watchers, and were thrilled to see so many species in the backyard and just short walks away. The dogs and horses love attention and we were more than happy to shower them with love. We are animal people and they were a huge incentive for us booking. 10/10 would book again. Pura Vida!

Anthony's farm is super on the western outskirts of San Isidro el General. The property is large and my room is perfect for 1-2 people. The city is a good 20-minute walk away or you can take an Uber. The bathroom is clean, shower very nice, everything tip top. The best: Breakfast!!! Pinto with scrambled eggs, coffee and even pejibaye cooked by the mom. Would recommend staying there to anyone

Die Farm von Anthony liegt super am westlichen Ortsrand von San Isidro el General. Das Anwesen ist groß und mein Zimmer ist für 1-2 Personen perfekt. In der Stadt ist man zu Fuß in gut 20min oder man nimmt ein Uber. Das Badezimmer ist sauber, Dusche sehr schön alles tip top. Das beste: Das Frühstück!!! Pinto mit Rührei, Kaffee und sogar Pejibaye gekocht von der Mama. Würde es jedem empfehlen, dort zu übernachten

Anthony is an excellent host along with his mother, friendly, attentive and the beautiful house. The place is in a very quiet area, close to basic amenities such as malls and restaurants.

We had booked a couple of rooms inside Tony's house. Upon arrival and by a reasonable difference we decided to accept staying in a more private apartment, separate from the house.  A very spacious and quiet place, with all the comforts, with a sleeping area with two beds on the top and an additional room down.  Tony is an excellent host, very helpful and friendly.  The place is very well located, in a quiet neighborhood not far from San Isidro and close to commercial spaces and places to eat. Highly recommended

Habíamos reservado un par de habitaciones dentro de la casa de Tony. Al llegar y por una diferencia razonable decidimos aceptar quedarnos en un apartamento más privado, separado de la casa.  Un lugar muy espacioso y tranquilo, con todas las comodidades, con una área para dormir con dos camas en la parte de arriba y un cuarto adicional abajo.  Tony es un excelente anfitrión, muy servicial y amable.  El lugar está muy bien ubicado, en un barrio tranquilo no muy lejos de San Isidro y cerca de espacios comerciales y lugares para comer. Muy recomendado

Beautiful house, beautiful view on the mountains, cute Ponies, really nice nature. Anthony was super friendly and made it possible for our girls to ride. Would definitely recommend it!

Anthony is a super nice host. The farm is amazing with lots of opportunities for young children to ride ponies and experience what it is like to live in Tico culture. Very conveniently located and very secure. A wonderful gracious family.Must be a dog lover.

Anthony and his mom were very nice and welcoming. The two rooms we booked were spacious, with a connecting bathroom. It was our first time with a home stay and it reminded us of staying at a hostel. The main issues we encountered were that the first night, Anthony's girlfriend entered our room around 12:30 am (we forgot to re-lock the door when we went to check on their dogs that kept barking), and the second night, one of their dogs jumped in the bedroom window and woke us up around 2 am (it's hot in San Isidro de El General and without a/c, opening the windows kept us a bit cooler...but there are no screens on the windows). We would not stay again.

The accommodation is perfect to rest in a quiet atmosphere, and with activities nearby. (Shops, restaurants,etc.) Antony's family is very social, and helpful. Animal lovers so it was a plus as we brought the pet no problem.

El hospedaje es perfecto para descansar en un ambiente tranquilo, y con actividades cercanas. (Comercios, restaurantes,etc.) La familia de Antony es muy social, y colaboradora. Amantes de los animales, así que fue una ventaja, ya que llevamos a la mascota sin problema.

We stayed here for four weeks and enjoyed our stay immensely. We had two bedrooms in the house each with a fridge and an adjoining bathroom. The rest we shared with the Family. This meant we had the usage of the kitchen, living room and terrace. The House has a lovely garden which we thoroughly enjoyed especially in the mourning as we watched the sun rise up over the mountains. The Finca at the end of the garden which it also belongs to the family has a restaurant within walking distance offering good value for money food. During that time we got to know a very warmhearted family who were always there for our needs and at no time felt that we were an intrusion in there day to day life.

Best hosts we could wish for! Lovely ranch outside the city center, Anthony and his fam treated us like family! Great internet as well! Nos vemos pronto!

My son and I had a wonderful stay at Tony's family's house. It is a beautiful quiet property very close to town, yet you feel as if you are in the countryside. Tony was very accommodating and communication was great. He greeted us and showed us the house.  There are ponies and horses on the property and my son loved seeing them first thing in the morning as I was opening the curtains.

It was nice to share with Anthony and Mom. They make a rich breakfast for an additional cost. Pony and dogs are steers and it's nice to see them running and fiddling around. When we first made our reservation for Tony’s home, we were still pretty new to AirBnb and did not quite understand that this is a home stay. Meaning you share the home with the family living there. That being said, it turned out to be a great experience. Tony and his family are welcoming and terrific people and we feel like we have made friends for life. Yami (Tony’s mom) gets a special shout out for being very patient and caring to our kids, cleaning up messes, and slipping the kids food on occasion. 😀 Tony made sure to include our kids in the activities occurring on the property and they were very grateful! The home and property are very family/pet friendly and there is a lot to do. From petting ponies to watching soccer games in the evenings at their field on the property, this rental has a lot to offer. Our dogs were part of the “pack” soon after we arrived and they all played well together. While it can be busy at the house during the soccer games, everyone was always very friendly and it gave us more chances to practice our Spanish. Tony and his family also have a farm that is on the same property. Our kids enjoyed walking down to the farm to see the Brahman, horses, and ponies. Also on the farm, the family has a bar/restaurante - Bar Zebú - Holy cow! Great food at competitive prices, awesome atmosphere, and great service. It has been one of our favorite places to eat in our 7-month adventure here in Costa Rica. If you are in the San Isidro de General area, and looking for a place to stay, check out Tony’s place!

Excellent location, comfortable rooms, and warm and friendly hosts. We stayed for a month and I could not be more pleased with the experience. We felt at home and like part of the family.  I enthusiastically recommend Anthony's place, especially to animal lovers. The ponies on the property are cute and entertaining to watch, and they love a banana or 2. The dogs are cuddly and well-behaved. Orange and lime trees dripping with fruit and the house is walking distance to Walmart. 5 stars.

We spent four nights with Anthony and his family and felt very comfortable.  Everything was clean, cozy, and nice.  Anthony and his family host great hosts.  Our son was allowed to pony ride and would have loved to take the little dog Hector with him.  Great experience.

The place is very nice and the attention is very good. There was a bit of confusion about the layout of the room and bathroom, but it was cleared up. If you stay here you will enjoy it, just make sure you are aware.

This property is wonderful. I took my family and we were treated extremely well. House with fully stocked bar and all amenities. Great coffee, authentic Costa Rican breakfast and miniature ponies. We saw toucans as we sat and ate breakfast. We were within 10 minutes from the city center and 30 minutes from ATVs and paragliding. Our hosts were quick to respond and very friendly.

A fantastic week staying with Anthony and his family. Their hospitality is second to none. I very much felt at home right from the beginning. The space is very spacious and my room very comfortable. Great proximity to the city while feeling far enough from the hustle and bustle of it all. Safe and relaxed neighborhood. The ponies were a welcomed bonus. Highly recommended.

Anthony and his entire family were an absolute delight.  They were all so kind and accommodating. The ponies were a real highlight for our 7yr old.  The only problem is that now he wants one!  I highly recommend this stay for anyone, but especially for those with children.  I hope to be back soon.
