We went for my husband’s 40th with 3 other couples and we had the best time. We all love to play tennis so we spent a good amount of time on the court, which we all loved. Such a unique, beautiful experience. Dirk was super helpful in recommending places to eat and they were all a short drive. We walked to the beach, which was about a 20min walk but the dogs joined us and we were pretty much the only ones on the beach, paradise. Todos Santos is one of our favorite places and Rancho Del Sol really is a little Narnia.

Wonderfully calm and peaceful, beautiful surroundings and just a few minutes from restaurants and downtown TS. The dogs were just great, very friendly and fun, always greeting us with wagging tails. Casas were comfortable and beds were great. A nice walk to a beautiful empty beach. Loved the vibe, the staff, the casas. Dirk was very helpful and had lots of suggestions for dining.

Wow! We just returned from a group trip for my 50th birthday and I am utterly speechless! From the grounds to the rescue dogs to the private casitas, this property is just about perfect. Truly a magical place to disconnect from the everyday pressures of life. We are already talking about coming back for another special occasion.

My wife, daughters (aged 12 and 3) and myself rented the entire Ranch for 2 weeks. We invited friends and family to join us, with the sole intention of fun, relaxation and good times. It worked out wonderfully on all counts. The location is great, just outside of the town of Todos Santos, just 2 minutes from fresh veggies and fruit, a decent supermarcado, taco stand, and other restaurants. A 1/2 mile walk gets you onto the sand of the beach, which is generally deserted. This isn't a great swimming beach, though Cerritos about 15 minutes away (south of town) is one of the best around for surfing, boogie boarding and family swimming. The local beach is a great spot to watch the sunrise, play in the sand, or have a campfire. We also saw whales breaching from the beach, which was amazing. Reuben and Deysei are the caretakers and are very sweet, caring and helpful. The owner of the property is very easy to communicate with via WhatsApp if needed as well. The dogs that live on the property were enjoyed by us all as well, friendly and fun. Something we used every evening, but hadn't thought about before our trip, was the fire pits located at each casita, and firewood provided. A very nice touch that leads to wonderful evenings, every evening. This is a recommended spot to stay, a good value in a great part of the world.

What an absolutely magickal place! We couldn’t have found a more perfect spot for our crew! The location is perfect - easy to get to Todos Santos and the beach! Ruben is so helpful and nice! The dogs hang out with you and are your best friends while you are there! The ranch is really something special. They have everything you need to have a unique and perfect Baja getaway!

Narnia is an appropriate name for such a magical and grounding place. It’s fertile ground for growth and positivity and the numerous stone etchings and inscriptions on the property reflect that. The place really took me back to my childhood when things were less complicated, expanses wider open and time moved more slowly. There are so many positive things to say about this amazing property and I would highly recommend it to anyone with an adventurous spirit wanting to leave the modern world as we know it behind and enter a magical oasis defined by endless tropical fruit trees and your imagination. The houses are all really rustic and blend in with the environment. In some cases being reclaimed by the surrounding vegetation with vines and trees growing right into the living spaces some by design and some by the passage of time giving it a sense of connectedness to the earth. Other aspects of the property that set it apart include the professional subterranean tennis court and a simple outdoor kitchen space, posing as a kitchen stadium on a deserted island perfect if you like cooking over a Mesquite grill under the stars. Nights spent around a bonfire without any neighbors to worry about were priceless. The place however has some quirks and is not for the faint of heart. If it’s luxury accommodations you are after or are looking for service as part of a vacation it is not for you. The caretaker on the property has a big job maintaining the orchard but he did make himself available for hire making our lives a lot easier by cleaning up our messed after meals. It was fairly hit and miss and not super consistent but it would’ve been much more difficult without him. So there is a bit of a trade off, but the positives far outweigh the negatives which included such things as leaky showers, a poorly equipped kitchen, a relatively small pool with a little haze in it and some unfortunate plumbing problems that we encountered on our stay making the use of the kitchen sink and downstairs bathroom sink of the main house unusable for a weekend (Fortunately, all the toilets worked just fine). One last point that should be mentioned are the dogs. You don’t need to be a animal lover to appreciate the 5 free range dogs on the property, but do need to be ok with sharing the space with them, as they make themselves as comfortable as humans on the outdoor chairs/benches that you’ll be sitting on. If you are game for theses quirks then the property is a magical getaway most ideal for a large group renting out the whole place. For a smaller group or family, the property is big enough to rent casa Abuelo‘s and never see other renters. If you need to use the Internet, however, it is only available at the main house and outdoor area there. If you’re on a budget Casa caballos is an awesome little place for a couple to disappear together for a while and is also far enough removed from the main house that you feel fairly isolated and self-contained but again Internet is available only at the main house. All in all, I highly recommend the place and hope to go back!

This place is definitely one of a kind and a unique gem in the rough. The setting is lush, the buildings are stately and vine-draped (photos very accurate). There are places to come together (veranda and long arbor with fire pit and big golden candles) and there are places to be apart (casa caballeros is a nice “honeymoon hideout” apart from the big house). Not having wifi was a plus and our group came together in organic ways that would not have been the same in another more modern setting. Be clear: The host and other guests have mentioned that five dogs come with the place. If you are not dog people this is not the place for you. Be very clear-eyed about this. It is a ranch with open space and open doors and this is their home. Up-sides I did not imagine: I am not a tennis player so the court was not why I chose the ranch but the COURT was a great place for the kids to run around and play even after dusk. It is very big and completely sunken and right off the aforementioned veranda. Also the BIRDS were so nice to wake up to (some folks don’t love roosters but I even like those). We were there for quite a few days before we went to the closest beach. You will likely get the good local advice that there are some beaches in town that are strictly for surfers and we had done most of our beach time at Cerritos Beach, but one night we all drove down the dirt road off the driveway and walked into the nearest beach to the ranch and saw WHALES and RAYS rolling and jumping at sunset right off the beach, just the length of a tennis court away from us. It was spellbinding.
