Carrillo Beach is a small, friendly community known for its excellent restaurants and stores. It is located less than 10 minutes by car from Samara Beach. The beach has earned a prestigious 5-star ecological blue flag for its clean ocean and potable water, as well as effective recycling programs.

The beach is ideal for swimming and is lined with palm trees providing ample shade throughout the day. The surrounding area is mostly residential, with about ten permanent homes on Oasis Street, including two other rental properties.

Local tour companies, such as Octopus Costa Rica, offer dolphin tours and various ocean adventures. Popular activities include:
