The Space
Casa Miramares is a roomy four-bedroom home ideally situated beachfront at the tranquil northern end of Playas del Coco. Designed to maximize freshness and airflow, the house offers numerous open-air spaces where you can unwind while enjoying ocean views and the soothing sound of waves.
This simple and peaceful home includes four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. It is surrounded by lush greenery and beachfront, featuring a large yard that is perfect for children to play in.
The house features a wide veranda and an open-concept kitchen overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and stovetop, along with ample countertop space and a spacious pantry for food storage, catering well to those who enjoy cooking. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas are available, including a large wooden table on the terrace ideal for shared meals with a view.
Each of the four air-conditioned bedrooms has its own private bathroom with a shower. Two bedrooms contain queen-size beds, while the other two are furnished with double sets of bunk beds.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire property, which includes plenty of parking space and numerous spots to sit and relax.
Other Things to Note
- Air conditioning is provided only in the bedrooms. Common areas such as the kitchen and dining spaces have fans and are designed to allow a constant breeze.
- The property has a gated entrance from the street but is open on the beach side. Playas del Coco is a public beach, as are all beaches in Costa Rica.
- Due to the open-air design and Costa Rica’s natural environment, guests may encounter friendly insects, geckos, or other local wildlife during their stay.
- The house’s locking setup is important to understand: the two bunk-bed bedrooms, kitchen, and living room form one section, while the two queen bedrooms are separate and accessible only from the terrace outside. Each queen bedroom has its own lock.
- If you have babies or toddlers sleeping in the bunk-bed rooms, note that you will need to unlock the kitchen area at night to access those rooms if you are staying in one of the queen bedrooms. Please ask for clarification about this arrangement if needed.

Great location. Tico vibe right on the beach. Plenty of beds. Outside living space with nice breeze but if you have any issues with bugs or aren’t really trying to be in nature it may not be your cup of tea BUT it’s Costa Rica so it’s all part of the experience. Awake to sound sod howler monkeys and roosters and go to sleep to sound of waves.

Amazing location, beautiful air-conditioned rooms, wonderful kitchen and great outdoor space. It was perfect for our large family vacation! Highly recommend if you wanna be on the beach!!

Arianne was a great host. Answered fast and was very helpful. Place was so nice, right to the beach. Quiet during the day and close to town. Had an amazing experience.

Talk about the value of a lifetime! This place was exactly as described and probably a bit better. If you’re a nature lover this place will fit the bill. Sunsets from the beach are a community event and this place has probably the best spot. Host was very responsive and proactive. Would stay again!

Ariannes place was great and the beach was literally the backyard! There were a few issues throughout our stay with the water and other things and she super responsive and always sent someone right over to fix it. Definitely recommend staying here!

What an amazing place! Right on the beach, steps to the waves and truly incredible sunsets. The unique open air concept added to the on the beach experience. A short walk to great restaurants and the amenities of town. Arianne was a pleasure to interact with, and had great recommendations! We were 2 families 4 adults, 4 kids. There are lots of options for sleeping arrangements and the AC in the bedrooms offered a heat break when needed. We miss the waves already!
