Overview
Hacienda Paradiso offers a serene and private setting, perfect for family gatherings or group stays. It is the sole rental home on an 11-acre gated estate, surrounded by a variety of fruit trees and walking trails. Guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Carara National Park mountains and occasional glimpses of the Pacific Ocean. Exclusive amenities include a BBQ pavilion, swimming pool, and tennis court reserved solely for guests.
The Space
This independent Mediterranean-style estate is nestled among fruit trees and abundant wildlife, providing a peaceful retreat for those seeking privacy alongside the comforts of country hacienda living. Visitors often spot Scarlet Macaws, hummingbirds, toucans, iguanas, butterflies, fireflies, and dragonflies around the property.
The single-story house features five bedrooms and is perched on a hill overlooking the Central Pacific Mountains. The main living area, kitchen, and dining room flow seamlessly onto a poolside terrace with an infinity pool and BBQ area, making it ideal for entertaining.
High ceilings in the living spaces allow plenty of natural light and showcase beautiful sunsets. The social areas do not have air conditioning but benefit from airflow from the first bedroom’s A/C. Two floor fans are provided for additional comfort.
The spacious kitchen includes ample storage, granite countertops, and is fully equipped for meal preparation. The dining and living rooms offer expansive views of the pool and surrounding scenery.
The house includes three smart TVs and fiber optic internet for entertainment and connectivity.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The home accommodates up to 12 guests across five bedrooms:
- Master Bedroom: King-size bed, closet, air conditioning, en-suite bathroom, and private access to the pool deck through sliding glass doors. Offers stunning views of Carara National Park.
- Bedroom 2: Queen-size bed, air conditioning, private access to the pool deck, shares a bathroom with common areas.
- Bedrooms 3 & 4: Located at the end of the hallway for added privacy. Each has air conditioning, a queen-size bed, and a twin bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom accessible via a separate door.
- Bedroom 5: Positioned on the opposite side of the house near the kitchen, featuring two twin beds, air conditioning, a small private bathroom, and discreet windows for privacy.
Additional bathroom notes:
- The first bathroom includes security bars and a sit-down shower chair available upon request.
- The jacuzzi does not have heating.
Amenities
- Washer and dryer available upon request (located outside below the BBQ pavilion)
- Three refrigerators: in the kitchen, BBQ pavilion, and terrace
- Covered carport for two vehicles; total parking for up to four cars
- Tennis court available for daytime use only
- High-speed internet at 100 Mbps
Location and Security
The property is managed by an on-site caretaker/security who lives near the main gate. For any issues during your stay, you may contact the host directly or ask Juan, the caretaker, for assistance.
Additional Information
- Pool maintenance occurs every Wednesday morning.
- Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM. Early check-ins or late check-outs are not available.
- Loud music, parties, or gatherings exceeding the allowed number of guests are prohibited to maintain a peaceful environment and respect neighbors.
- Occasional power outages or interruptions to internet and cable TV may occur due to circumstances beyond control. No refunds will be issued for such events.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this villa in Carara, Costa Rica. This is actually our second time choosing this home, and it truly feels like a place we can keep coming back to. The house is stunning — beautifully designed, surrounded by breathtaking nature, and offering that perfect mix of luxury and tranquility that Costa Rica is known for. What makes this villa especially valuable for us is how safe and comfortable it is for children. Traveling with kids in Costa Rica can be challenging when it comes to finding a truly secure and family-friendly home — but this place delivers. We felt at ease the entire time, which is incredibly important for our family. Everything was thoughtfully maintained, clean, and well-organized. You can really feel the care that goes into this property. Costa Rica is an incredibly beautiful destination, and finding a home like this makes the experience even more special. We highly recommend this villa and are already looking forward to coming back

We stayed at Paradiso for a week with family and friends to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We all had such a wonderful time. The property is beautifully maintained and we had daily sightings of scarlet macaws flying overhead and so many different species of birds that visited the fruit trees on the property. The pool was a hit with the kids as well as the adults. The house is conveniently located right off of a highway but it still felt private since it is located atop a hill. The ground keeper, Juan was always available if we had any issues. There were power outages and water pump issues but they were taken care of almost immediately. The drive to Jaco or beaches can take a while depending on the traffic so make sure to give yourselves a plenty of time before headed out to a scheduled excursion. All in all, we were looking for a peaceful and restful vacation and Paradiso definitely delivered. We hired chef Bruno based on Diana's recommendation and he did not disappoint. :)

My friends and I stayed her for our bachelorette. We were a group of 6 and had plenty of space to relax and hang out. The views are incredible and looked like a screensaver. The AC in each room were great and kept everything really cool.

Nos encantó todo sobre éste lugar, la casa es preciosa, las habitaciones amplias y con camas muy confortables, AC en todas las habitaciones y zonas comunes, la cocina espaciosa y con todo lo necesario, el lugar estaba impecable cuando llegamos. La piscina es otro de los puntos altos, desde la cuál se puede apreciar el atardecer, los alrededores de la casa son tambien hermosos, nos gustó poder salir a recorrer la propiedad caminando por las mañanas. Diana y Natalie estuvieron siempre atentas para que nuestra estadía fuera agradable, don Juan el encargado de la propiedad también fue sumamente amable, nos ayudó muchísimo en un par de ocasiones siempre con una gran disposición. Recomiendo sin lugar a dudas éste lugar, mí familia y yo la pasamos súper bien.

La villa de Diana est un véritable paradis. Les photos de la cours ne rendent pas justice à la beauté du lieu. L’intérieur est confortable, bien climatisé et propre. La cuisine n’est pas très bien équipé, mais c’est la seule chose négative. De plus, au moindre problème, Diana répond extrêmement rapidement et Juan, le gardien des lieux, offre un service personnalisé exceptionnel. Nous sommes restés 10 jours et nous aurions aimé rester 10 jours supplémentaires. Merci pour votre accueil, nous reviendrons assurément!
