Casa Bambú next to the Sarapiquí River

The house exceeded our expectations - beautiful location on the banks of the Rio Sarapiqui surrounded by gorgeous ancient trees. Paths around the property were fun to explore and most traffic noise was drowned out by the small river next to the house. So much birdlife here as well! The fire pit next to the river was lit by Victor on two of the three nights were there and was fun to sit next to in the evenings. The house itself was very modern and had everything we needed. The deck was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding nature. Marinella and her mum were so helpful and went above and beyond to help us with all our laundry - greatly appreciated 😊

Casu Bambu was so incredible. We loved having our morning coffee on the deck. The views of the river were incredible and we loved spotting the iguanas from our hammock. Victor was awesome and so attentive at the lodge. Marianela was also very quick to respond and very helpful. It was a 10/10 stay!!!

We loved our stay here. The spot was gorgeous and Marianela was so responsive and helpful with everything. I wish we were able to stay longer. Would highly recommend!

El lugar estuvo divino

Staying here was a highlight and we wish we could have stayed longer! Easy drive to La Selva Biológica Reserve for our birdwatching experiences. Felt like we were staying in the pages of a magazine! Stunning birdlife all around. We were able to cook lovely meals and that shower is pretty idylic ! Place is not visible from road - so look for the large wooden gates just outside of town. Waze did get us there - we just missed it the first time :)

Een ontzettend mooie, moderne bungalow in een rustige, groene omgeving aan de rivier. De accommodatie is van alle gemakken voorzien en ligt op een privéterrein. Er is een hele grote veranda met goede verlichting zodat je goed naar de natuur kan kijken als het donker is. De douche had de beste waterdruk van onze hele reis door Costa Rica. En er is een grote keuken met van alles erop en eraan aanwezig. Dit bracht echter wel een probleem met zich mee, namelijk ongedierte (kakkerlakken). De host nam het erg serieus en zou direct actie gaan ondernemen om dit te bestrijden.

We arrived in the dark and left pretty early in the morning so were unable to truly enjoy the location but the surrounding area in the back was beautiful and worth exploring. Unit was well maintained and had some thoughtful touches like the animal guide book. We really liked the place.

Un petit bijoux! Endroit paradisiaque très tranquille et sécuritaire. Les kayaks sont disponibles et moyennant un frais qui varie selon la distance mais qui reste très modeste les hôtes peuvent organiser un transport des kayaks et des personnes plus haut sur la rivière Sarapiqui. Nous avons descendu la rivière tranquillement avec nos 2 filles dont la plus jeune de 4 ans. Un logement qui vaut vraiment la peine!
