Amazing house close to wonderful beach

My family of 5 just finished a trip to Matthias home, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The house is somewhat dated, but it is well throughout and comfortable. It has all the necessities and was very clean. The view and location are superb - and absolutely worth the visit. My only negative comment is that the master bed was uncomfortable (too soft) and I ended up sleeping with my son in a bunk bed. Even with this in mind, I would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Mooie ruime woning met een fantastisch uitzicht. Zwembad is fijn en lekkere temperatuur. Gebruik van strandstoeltjes is erg fijn! Rustige plek en we hadden geluk dat er een brulaap in de tuin kwam kijken. Aanrader!

If you are thinking of booking Casa Marelie- you should do so! It’s walkable to the pristine and often empty Carillo beach, close to mini markets and great restaurants. Many beautiful birds and the local iguanas also visited the property. Samara is a short 10 mins away if you want more restaurants and activities. Our family didn’t want to leave and we hope to return to this beautiful spot!

Highly Recommend this Getaway with Stunning Views! This house is simple and elegant. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it was easy to prepare meals at home, which our family did often. The house was very clean, and the location is ideal—you get the best of both worlds. Upstairs, you have beautiful ocean views, while downstairs offers a view of the pool and lush garden. Plus, you’re just a quick three-minute walk from one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches, Carrillo. There is also a small town with restaurants and shops a short walk away, just up the street. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or adventure, this place delivers.

Séjour incroyable ! La Casa Marelie était impeccable, très bien équipée et offrait une vue absolument imprenable, ainsi qu’une belle intimité qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. L’emplacement est idéal : la plage de Carrillo, splendide, se trouve juste à côté, et une petite épicerie est accessible à pied. La ville de Sámara est également à seulement 10 minutes en voiture. Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement !

We absolutely LOVED Casa Marelie!!!! One of our favourite ever Airbnbs! The first thing you see when you enter the house is the amazing sea views - so relaxing and beautiful, its been such a highlight for us. The house is cosy, simple and homely. It is well equipped and comfortably. It was very spacious for our family of 5 and we just loved spending time here. The pool was great fun too - our children loved it! Matthias is a very good and responsive host, communication was very easy and straightforward. Carrillo beach.... wow!!! probably one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica! and in walking distance to the house (or 3 min drive!!!) Near the house (also walking distance), we had gorgeous restaurants and a fantastic bakery. I couldn't rate this place high enough - I wish we had stayed longer! Hoping to visit again in the future!

Wauw wauw wauw - dette sted er absolut et besøg værd. Huset stråler af hygge og elegance. Vi havde booket huset for et par dage hen over julen, men måtte simpelthen forlænge opholdet. Der er alt hvad man har brug for i huset. Og der findes små skønne oaser rundt omkring i huset, hvor der er plads til ferie og afslapning. Playa Carillo er intet mindre end fantastisk - og endda kun lige en lille gåtur væk. Vi havde egentlig Samara Beach i kikkerten, men er så glade for, at vi valgte at rykke den lille køretur længere ud. Stedet her er absolut et besøg værd.

Mattia's house is gorgeous and the views are amazing. We were surrounded by birds, butterflies and were able to watch the family of howler monkeys. My family and I loved staying at this houses and if we are fortunate enough to come back to Puerto Carrillo, we will surely stay again.

My family of four had a blast at this home. It was close to a few restaurants and basic groceries, as well as a nice coffee shop. We loved the short trail down to the beach, visiting the howler monkey family in the trees nearby, and enjoying the beautiful view and pool. Carrillo beach is perfect for families and very calm and picturesque - no commerce or vendors there. The only thing I’d say is if you have small children there is a spiral staircase and the pool is relatively deep - adults can stand but children cannot - and there is no gate, so we paid extra close attention around the pool.
