We had such a wonderful stay at The Blue House! There has been so much thought and intention put into that place. The landscaping is stunning and hard to believe but even better than the photos! We heard the howler monkeys in the morning, saw a few small lizards, beautiful birds and some colourful black and green dart frogs! The recommendations near by were spot on. The host was so attentive with great communication. It really helped make our last few days in Costa Rica unforgettable!

We loved our time at The Blue House in Rio Celeste. It's a beautiful place and the surroundings are breathtaking; we spent time lounging in the river, having morning coffee in comfy outdoor rocking chairs while listening to the sounds of the river and having evening bonfires. We had so much fun doing the river tubing which is only 10 min down the road and enjoyed the Catarata waterfall hike in the national park as well. Anisa was a very helpful and responsive host. Highly recommend this stay!

The house was great and the grounds and river were beautiful. I loved that we were able to book for only one night as I would have hated to miss it.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days with our 1.5 year old son. The river access, spacious home, and toddler-friendly amenities (toys/high chair/pack and play/small table & chairs) were the main draws for us stay here and they made our trip so memorable and easy. We saw monkeys and so many birds in the outdoor space, which was really fun for all of us. Anisa was always quick to respond and gave us great activity and restaurant recommendations in the area, which kept us busy and well-fed during the time we spent away from the house. We really can't say enough about how incredible it was to have the river literal steps from the back door, and felt very comfortable bringing our toddler down to play in the shallower rocky areas. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Incredible beauty by the river. Worked great for our family of 6 as a home base for activities around Rio Celeste. Tubing was our favorite!

We loved every minute of our stay at the Blue House. Anisa was responsive to all queries which made for an amazing stay. Through her tip sheet we booked a tubing experience which was so much fun. Our guides even stopped us to point out a sloth on our journey along the river. One of our guides, Christian, also led us on a night hike the following evening. He was so great and we saw SO much--even a giant toad leaping in front of a Fer-de-Lance. We didn't expect that to end well but the toad got away:) We also did the Rio Celeste waterfall hike on our own and spent hours in the gorgeous river behind the Blue House. Anisa even directed us to a place where we could observe a very active sloth (never guaranteed of course, but a place she had seen one a few weeks earlier). We made meals at the house in the well-equipped kitchen, and roasted marshmallows in the fire pit right outside of the patio area. The house was clean and inviting and the grounds exquisite! We can't wait to go back!
