Auto Mercado, the largest US-style supermarket with a wide selection of imported goods, is only a minute’s drive away. The neighborhood also features several walkable shops, including Tamarindo Coffee Roasters, an ice cream shop, a custom surfboard store, and a gym.
The home boasts a spacious private backyard with a sparkling saltwater pool, a wooden patio, an outdoor dining area, and a gas barbecue. During the day, green parakeets flutter among the trees, and hummingbirds visit the bright red hibiscus along the fence. Occasionally, a troop of howler monkeys may appear in the afternoon. Evenings are perfect for relaxing on the patio under warm string lights or enjoying the LED-lit pool. An outdoor shower is conveniently located in the backyard to rinse off sandy feet.

I strongly advise staying elsewhere. This villa was not only unclean but also unsafe. Upon arrival, we found dirty, stained sheets, unwashed towels, and even dirty toilet tissue. The most disturbing part was the roaches and even frogs in the shower — and I left with multiple bug bites, including suspected bed bug bites. We reached out to the host and Airbnb, but the response was minimal and unsatisfactory. I would not recommend this property to anyone seeking cleanliness, comfort, or responsible communication. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.

Amazing place to stay with friends / family. The place was clean and looked just like the pictures. We needed an earlier check in and Vacasa accomodated - an overall great experience!

Extremely disappointing experience – avoid this property. We arrived to find the pool in absolutely disgusting and unusable condition — murky, dirty, and clearly untreated. When we reached out, the property manager Andrey blatantly lied and claimed it had been recently treated, which was clearly not true. The backyard was filthy and unsafe — we couldn’t even let our 1-year-old play outside. The listing photos were completely misleading and did not reflect the actual state of the property. Vacasa Costa was no help whatsoever in resolving the issue. Thankfully, Airbnb stepped in and supported our cancellation. We had to pack up our young children and scramble to find a last-minute place in Tamarindo — which thankfully turned out to be a much better experience. Would never recommend this listing or Vacasa Costa to anyone.

I wanted to share some feedback about our stay. We were really disappointed, as several issues made the experience far from what we expected. The main reason we chose this property was the pool, but the water was so dirty and cloudy that no one in our group felt comfortable using it. On top of that, the shower in the hall bathroom was completely clogged with a large amount of hair that caused flooding in the entire bathroom and both bedrooms next to it. The master bathroom had dirty towels still hanging up from the previous stay. And lastly, all three AC units also stopped cooling every few minutes, which made the house uncomfortably warm, especially overnight. We raised these concerns while we were there, but no one came to fix anything, which only added to the frustration. We really hoped for a more enjoyable stay, and it’s unfortunate that these issues weren’t addressed.

Una propiedad linda, pero con MUY MAL mantenimiento. El mayor problema fue la condicion de la piscina que era el principal motivo de elegir esta propiedad sobre otras. Estaba turbia, verde y llena de hojas, Contactamos a los administradores para solicitar limpiezas y en nuestros 3 dias de estadia no atendieron la solicitud por lo tanto no pudimos utilizarla. Gran decepcion. Tambien reportamos que el aire acondicionado de la habitacion principal no funcionaba y una vez mas recibimos respuesta automatica diciendo que el tema iba a ser atendido durante nuestra estadia y NO FUE ASI. Tuvimos que re organizarnos y los niños dormir en la sala. Otros problemas pequeños como toalleros desprendidos y la puerta del cuarto principal caida hacia ruido al abrirla. Insisto en que es una linda propiedad que esta MUY MAL cuidada y que es injusto pagar una renta completa y no gozar plenamente de la vacacion por falta de piscina. Podriamos haber rentado otra propiedad de saber la condicion. DECEPCION!!

Overall such a great stay for a larger group. In a nice spot about 10 minutes from all the fun and had so many amenities and features making our stay so nice. The walk in closets for the rooms were amazing.

This place was perfect. Shower water was cold but refreshing. All of the beds were comfortable, the entire place was super clean and the host responded within minutes. Super close to the beach but a good distance from nightlife if you just want to relax and enjoy the outdoors at night. I recommend utilizing the kitchen, grill, and outdoor dining table to have home cooked meals as Tamarindo can be expensive. The pool was the best part since we had a little one with us for the trip.

It was a nice stay and was close enough to get to things easily but was still far enough away that you felt separated from the more hectic town. It was clean and spacious, and offered a serene atmosphere after going to the beach or to the rainforest.
