Punta Coral was wonderful! We brought our family down before Christmas and had more than enough space and everything we needed for our stay. The pictures don't really do the property justice. The place is huge and situated on the coast such that the views are everywhere. Beautiful and eclectic property!

We had an awesome stay here with extended family over Christmas. The separate spaces over the garages, along with the large central palapa living area, were perfect for our group, and the house has such a unique and beautiful design with breathtaking views. Comfortable beds, peaceful location and beautiful deserted beach just a short walk away. We used Marian’s recommended caterer (Adriana/Patty) and the food was amazing! We’ll definitely be back.

We loved the house! It's beautiful and incredibly well appointed. As avid cooks we were very happy to find everything we could want in the kitchen. What a pleasant surprise to find comfortable beds and real linens! The rooms were perfect for our 3 families and we loved the path to the water. Snorkeling right off the beach was wonderful and we loved the visits from dolphins, whales, and mobula rays. The deck railing was definitely a bit precarious for the smallest kids but they loved the sandy area down below. Samuel was incredibly helpful for anything we needed throughout the stay. We loved our stay and would love to come back!

We had an amazing experience staying at Mirian’s home. We hired her recommendation of a local chef. The food was incredible and plentiful. We rented an ATV which was super fun and enjoyed exploring the local beaches. This is easily the most unique and beautiful home we have ever rented. Our hope was to go fishing one day but the weather didn’t cooperate, too windy, and we were encouraged by the local guide to not go out. We hope to return.

Mirian's place was exactly what our far-flung family needed for our annual vacation and Christmas gathering. The house is incredible and we saw rays, dolphins, and/or humpback whales passing by every day. So spacious, comfortable, and unique inside and out.

This home is so much more than what is described! Beautiful inside and out. Snorkeling and beaches right outside the main doors. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Mirian’s house in El Cardonal is fantastic. It worked very well for our 2 families and comes well equipped. The location is beautiful and secluded. Snorkelling and kayaking in the bay is a treat if it’s not too windy. Don’t follow gps coordinates but follow Mirian’s written instructions to the house. We would book again and definitely recommend this listing.

This house is far, far more amazing than the listing and photos give it credit for. The central living area is a high-ceilinged palapa room, with gorgeous stained glass, lots of natural wood, and a giant kitchen and dining table. We spent most of our indoor time here, as in addition to food proximity that's also the strongest wifi. The deck wraps around 3 sides of the house, so you are likely to find a comfy spot out of the wind from most directions, and can watch the sunrise. (Note that the minimalist railing isn't good for small kids - it's a barely-protected drop. ) We traveled with 2 sets of grandparents and 2 late elementary/middle school kids, and found it a perfect fit for our needs. Bedrooms: there is one master bedroom attached to the central living area, with no stairs. Great for those with limited mobility. All of the other 3 bedrooms require stair access via the outside. The kids' bunk room is directly below the living area, accessed via stairs from the deck, and has a kitchenette. Their bedroom and bathroom open directly onto the beach level. Another two bedrooms are over the garages - one attached to the main living area, one a bit farther away. Both have en-suite bathrooms, the one over the separate (boat?) garage has a kitchenette and a nice deck. There's a great reef just off the beach - you can watch fish, spearfish, kayak, and paddle board (we did all of the above) and it's deep enough not to be a kiteboarding hazard. Note that the beach directly in front of the house is mostly covered with small-to-medium rocks, which can be difficult to navigate for those with limited mobility, but there's a cleared path down to the water directly in front of the house, and if you walk slightly north there's a gorgeous sandy beach. Adriana from La Hornilla restaurant caters great food, and the little bodegas in town can supply basics, but be sure to stop by a large grocery store in Los Barriles or Cabo before you arrive, or arrange for Luis to shop for you in advance of arrival as it's a 35-min+ drive back to Los Barriles. In short, this is a wonderful gem of a house in a quiet and isolated fishing village, and we would be delighted to return. Highly recommended.
