The Space
Villa Almendro is part of The Breeze, Tamarindo's premier modern luxury retreat. The property includes five villas: Villa Cortes, Coco Bolo, Ron Ron, Almendro, and Joe Guanacaste. Each villa accommodates up to five adults or four adults and two children. Additional guests beyond four incur a fee of $35 per person, per night.
Located about 150 meters from the beach, this vacation home is set in a beautiful tropical environment highlighted by a well-preserved Guanacaste tree. The lush gardens surround this exceptional two-bedroom, two-bath villa, which opens onto a cascading split-level pool and lounging area—ideal for swimming or relaxing in the Costa Rican sun.
All four two-bedroom villas are single-story. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two twin beds. Each bedroom includes a private bathroom and sliding glass doors that lead to a private patio. High-quality mattresses and luxury linens ensure a restful night's sleep.
Kitchen and Dining
Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. Contemporary dishes, cookware, and silverware are provided. You can enjoy meals outdoors on the covered patio adjacent to the living room, surrounded by the sights and sounds of paradise.
Design and Amenities
The Breeze combines sleek design with understated elegance. The décor, carefully selected by the owners, blends boutique hotel intimacy with a cosmopolitan touch—from the stylish red sofa in the living room to the tasteful linens in the bedrooms.
Amenities include:

We stayed in the area many times and Jean Marc's place was our favorite by far. What a personable host, he made us feel like home. His place is private yet very centrally located, just a block from the beach and lots of places to eat within walking distance. Our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the beautiful landscaping. We will definitely stay there again! Thank you, Jean Marc!

We had a great stay - Jean Marc and Luc were great hosts. Twice saw howler monkeys in the trees above the bungalows.

Jean Marc was extremely kind and entertaining. He made the best local recommendations. The low bed was extremely comfortable. He also went above and beyond to fix my friends sunburn by finding the best biggest piece of aloe. 10/10!

This is my second time staying at The Breeze, and I would recommend it to anyone! It is a great location, just a minute or two walk to the beach and close to everything in town. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the grounds are beautiful. The pool/lounge area is the perfect place to relax, work on your tan, and read a book. I will definitely return to The Breeze next time I am in Tamarindo.

The Breeze is an amazing place and we feel very lucky to have found it. The hosts, Jean Marc and Rhonda, were exceptionally welcoming and so helpful. Their entire team took great care of us and keep the resort very clean. Luca is an amazing guy who was always available by text to help with coordinating different activities. The location is perfect. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach, right around the corner from a large market, and very close to all of the restaurants. The house is large and was the perfect size for our family (2 adults, 11 yo, 7 yo). The gated resort feels very secluded and safe. We would definitely stay there again!

Loved our stay in Tamarindo! Jean Marc was very friendly and hospitable, he made our check-in and stay a breeze! The place was clean and walking distance to everything in town. Would recommend to anyone coming to Tamarindo.

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank Jean Marc and all of The Breeze staff for accommodating our needs and providing a beautiful place to rest and enjoy lots of sunshine, howler monkeys, iguanas, and a swimming pool right outside our door. Moreover, within walking distance and only minutes from Villa: the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. In conclusion, this was our second time staying at The Breeze, and words cannot express our gratitude. We are looking forward to our next stay. Thank you, Gil Queiros.

This is a very clean and modern space. It’s feels and looks very clean. It reminds me of a beach house in the US. This is space is very different than what Tamarindo and what Costa Rica has to offer. Outside the doors of the breeze you find a chill, laid back Pura Vida atmosphere and that changes in the Breeze. It feels secluded and so different than what Costa Rica is like. It is a very well kept space and the pool was nice although for the value I would not recommend this space. You can find a room for less than half the price with food included just a couple steps from this place. Also the house manager who greets you and gives you the keys wasn’t very kind and his attitude in stark contrast to everyone else we met and came across in Costa Rica. Finally it was clean but there were ants everywhere. We don’t mind tiny critters but it was so much here. Wouldn’t stay here for that price ever again. Pictures looked better than what it was like in person.

Jean Marc was fantastic, very responsive and available. He even arranged for my friend to get a COVID test so she could get back into the US. The place is in a fantastic location - quiet but central - and is clean and comfortable. Overall, great experience and would stay here again.
