The Space

Casa Adorada is a newly built home situated in the heart of Guiones on a quiet street. The location is accurately marked on our map, and we believe it to be one of the best spots in town. Everything is within walking distance, including the beach break (you can even walk barefoot!), all local restaurants, yoga studios, and grocery stores.

The house features four bedrooms:

• Two master bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), each with king-sized beds.
• Two additional bedrooms, each furnished with two extra-long twin beds that can be converted into king beds upon request. Typically, one room is set up as a king and the other as two twins unless otherwise specified.

Additional amenities include:

• A private pool
• Off-street locked parking
• An outdoor shower
• Beautifully maintained landscaping creating a private outdoor oasis

All bedrooms are equipped with electronically operated blackout roller blinds and sheer curtains. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning unit, and there are two additional AC units in the main living area. Workstations with desks are available in every bedroom for guests who need to work during their stay.

The internet connection is robust, offering 150 Mbps fiber optic service with an automatic backup via Starlink. A mesh network ensures strong coverage throughout the house and outdoor spaces.

The master bedrooms each have private patios or balconies, while the other two bedrooms have access to patio areas adjoining the pool. Dining options include two large tables, each seating up to 10 guests—one indoors and one outdoors.

The kitchen is well-equipped and thoughtfully stocked with spices, reflecting our passion for cooking.

There is also a private casita on the property, which is a completely separate unit. It can be rented alongside the main house if available. Although there is a door connecting the casita to the pool area, it locks securely from both sides. Casita guests do not share any rooms or outdoor spaces with the main house, except for the laundry room, which contains two sets of washers and dryers.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire house, except for a few closets used for cleaning supplies. Two sets of new front-loading washers and dryers are available for guest use.

Entry to the property is secured with an electronic gate, supplemented by a backup lockbox to eliminate the need for physical keys.

Location

Casa Adorada is centrally located in Guiones, providing easy access to the beach, dining, yoga, and shopping. The quiet street offers a peaceful environment while keeping all amenities within walking distance.

Security and Safety

Your safety and peace of mind are very important to us. While petty theft is relatively common in Costa Rica, especially involving easily carried items like phones, laptops, and flip-flops, we have not experienced any theft at our property in over a year of rentals.

Security measures include:

• A tall privacy wall surrounding the entire property
• Security cameras positioned over the back door, front door, and pool area. These cameras are placed high to monitor the perimeter visibly but are difficult to tamper with.
• A contracted security company that can provide guards if needed. This service is available at cost but is not included in the rental price as most guests do not require it.

To help prevent theft, we kindly ask guests to:

• Keep the front gate closed at all times except when entering or exiting
• Lock all doors and windows when not in use

Please note that while we take these precautions seriously, we do not guarantee against theft or insure guest belongings. We encourage guests to stay vigilant and secure their valuables.

Additionally, some guests have been known to falsely report theft to obtain discounts. We have never encountered this at Casa Adorada, but it is a known issue in the area.

Additional Policies

• Pets are not allowed on the property. Please do not bring pets, invite friends with pets, or encourage neighborhood animals to enter the premises. This policy is strictly enforced due to past incidents of damage caused by animals.

• In accordance with Airbnb policy, we reserve the right to terminate a guest’s stay without refund if house rules or policies are violated. While this has never occurred, we are required to disclose this in the listing description.

Construction Notice

As of June 2025, there are no construction projects near the property. However, this situation can change and is common throughout Guiones. Our pricing reflects these circumstances.
