The Space
Finca San Tocuar is a Costa Rican jungle retreat ideal for large families or groups of friends. The spacious, fenced property invites exploration and offers ample room for everyone in this four-bedroom house.
Upon entering, you'll find a large, open main area featuring a dining table that seats 12, plus additional seating for four at the breakfast bar. The home blends modern conveniences with authentic Costa Rican charm, evident in the colorful wall and counter tiles of the kitchenette, as well as the terra cotta pottery and local artwork displayed throughout.
The kitchenette is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, three-burner cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, sink, and coffee maker, making meal preparation convenient.
The living room includes a large sectional sofa and armchairs that comfortably accommodate the entire group. However, much of your time will likely be spent outdoors.
Step outside to a tropical oasis featuring a chemical-free pool and a covered deck. You can choose to swim, relax at the poolside bar while someone mixes cocktails, lounge in the sun by the pool, or sit in the shade near the bar. An outdoor shower is also available in the pool area for rinsing off.
No agrochemicals are used on the property.
When it’s time to rest, there are four bedrooms to choose from:
- Main floor bedroom with a twin bed and direct access to the back deck
- Upstairs bedroom with three twin beds
- Upstairs bedroom with two twin beds
- Upstairs bedroom with a double bed
Additional sleeping space is available in the large upstairs landing.
As night falls, you can enjoy the sounds of the forest from a chair on either the front or back deck.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the farm, we where able to see wildlife like the famous dart frogs and enjoyed the pool. It is also very close to an amazing lagoon, we had a great stay and the host was very responsive!!!

Viaje con mi familia para un fin de semana de descanso, el lugar silencioso y tranquilo para relajarse.. Naturaleza por todo lado para apreciarla.. Excelente lugar para viajar con niños y que disfruten de la piscina, cerca de todas las atracciones que hay en bajos del toro

Dom wyjątkowy i bardzo czysty w przepięknym, rajskim ogrodzie. Czuliśmy się jakbyśmy mieszkali w środku ogrodu botanicznego. Bardzo mili i życzliwi gospodarze, którzy stworzyli piękne miejsce blisko natury. Miejsce bardzo przyjazne dzieciom, dla których duża atrakcją był basen zatopiony w zieleni. Bardzo polecamy!

Will absolutely be returning and recommending to others. Beautiful home and gardens - every morning we saw gorgeous birds and every night heard frogs and toads. The house was spacious and very well maintained. We made good use of the kitchen and appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was for cooking. We really enjoyed the pool with lounge space and bathroom. Observed toucans, aracaris, macaws, parakeets, hummingbirds, guans, cane toads and tree frogs. Heard howler monkeys each morning as well. So much cool wildlife from the property! Just a short drive to supermarkets and groceries. About 1.5-2 hours from La Fortuna.

El lugar muy privado, solo el sonido de la naturaleza se escuchaba. Muy espaciosa y limpia. Muy cerca de la laguna lo cual nos encantó.

El lugar esta precioso, muy amplio y ordenado. Rico para descansar de lo cotidiano. Logramos ir caminando ala laguna de Rio Cuarto por lo cerca que está y de camino observar monos, aves,ardillas,entre otros. La piscina de la propiedad sin químicos fue genial, la disfrutamos tanto los pequeños como adultos. La atención tanto del dueño como de los cuidadores de la propiedad siempre oportuna y muy atentos a cualquier necesidad que se nos presentara. Encantados volveríamos!
