Casa Uvita: Rainforest & Ocean View Eco-Home

I can’t say enough how incredible our experience was. The house and pool was perfect for our family of 5 and the grounds were stunning with regular sightings of toucans, howler monkeys and so much other wildlife. Michelle was the absolute best. We felt safe, at home, and had great recommendations on things to do in the area. The eco friendly house helped us appreciate it all even more knowing we weren’t leaving a footprint in this beautiful area. 10/10 would recommend staying at casa uvita!!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Uvita and wish we could have stayed longer. The property is beautiful and so peaceful and Michele was the perfect host. She and her two sweet dogs greeted us with pineapple juice when we arrived, she gave us great recommendations for the area, and even let us help pollinate her vanilla orchids. And her cookies and breads were amazing! We made so many great memories at Casa Uvita and can't wait to return.

The house is beautiful. Great layout and open air feel. It is secluded and safe as the owner lives on the premesis. Michele is very kind and attentive to needs. The access road is long and bumpy so a proper vehicle is recommended. Beautiful view, natural setting.

Our stay at Michele’s home in Uvita was perfect. Both the house and grounds are beautiful and well kept. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds comfortable, and everything was set up to help us feel at home immediately. We spent many hours in the pool and hanging out on one of the decks, watching howler monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws and so many other creatures carry on their lives around us. An incredible experience. Michele is an amazing host who took the time to answer questions and to share her knowledge of the area. The happy memories that we have made there will be with us for a very long time. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and we hope to return soon!

We are avid travelers and have stayed in so many airbnbs all over the world and Michele's Casa Uvita is one of the best and most memorable to date. The house is exactly as pictured but even better because the pictures cannot capture the feeling of peace you will feel waking up to the sights and sounds of the jungle- its really not something that can be put into words. We were traveling with 6 adults and 2 small children and we all felt we had plenty of space and the pool was just perfect. On our stay we saw and heard howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, parrots, and toucans and so many beautiful plants and fruit trees on the property. Michele was the best host and went above and beyond for us during our stay. She is so warm and friendly and we loved her passion for sustainability and protecting the land and wildlife. She gave us great recommendations for where to go and was always very quick to respond. We will definitely be back- don't hesitate this is the place!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Casa Uvita: Michelle est une hôte formidable, un accueil chaleureux, Michelle s’est occupée d’organiser pour nous une excursion avec l’un de ses amis dan la mangrove. Maison entretenue avec soin, jolie vue, je recommande fortement !

Nous avons adoré séjourner chez Michele en famille. La maison est encore plus parfaite que sur les photos, tout y est bien aménagé et pensé, c'est beau, spacieux et calme. L'environnement est magnifique. Michèle est une hôte fabuleuse, qui est extrêmement disponible. Merci encore, c'était un plaisir.

Auch wir würden viel mehr als fünf Sterne vergeben wollen, wenn es nur möglich wäre. Wir waren zu 8 Personen (Erwachsene, Teenager und Twens). da. Es ist einfach ein traumhaftes Haus, alles stimmt, es ist mehr als perfekt, und Michele ist die perfekte Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns mit selbst gebackenen Keksen und Saft begrüßt, war ständig erreichbar, hatte gute Tipps, und hat uns auch höchstpersönlich auf ihren Privatweg an den Fluss herunter geführt, was abenteuerlich war und sich total gelohnt hat. Der Pool ist einfach der beste Privat-Pool, den ich überhaupt jemals erlebt habe und ich habe schon beantragt, dass wir ihn zuhause nachbauen. Ich durfte in der Master Suite wohnen und habe stundenlang auf dem dortigen Balkon gesessen (es gibt mehrere!) und einfach nur genossen. - Zusammenfassung: Absolut und uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

Michelle and Antonio were amazing!!!! I stayed here with my husband and three children and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Michelle was quick to respond and had several recommendations for things to do. She was proactive and reached out to local contacts for activities for our family. When we arrived Michelle greeted us and gave us a tour of the house and later a tour of their beautiful property. We had three delicious breakfasts that they catered to our children’s preferences while also allowing us to experience more traditional foods. We had fresh fruit and eggs and pancakes! Michelle also suggested a night tour and it was incredible! Highly recommend! In addition to our adventures we had scheduled, Michelle set up massages at the house to be done on the upstairs balcony. It was beautiful and we certainly enjoyed that! Ultimately- Michelle and Antonio felt like family by the time we left. They are amazing hosts with kind hearts who truly offer a special stay.

Can’t speak more highly of this house- the other reviews say it all! A true Jem- would have stayed longer if we could!
