I will start with the positive. The view and outdoor garden is phenomenonal. Amazing sunsets and loved seeing the Macas! Leo, was helpful and replaced a broken faucet the next day. The beach access is walking distance and really peaceful. Improvements The home is very outdated and although the linens are washed, the pillows are in desperate need of being replaced - old and lumpy. The outdoor kitchen is not clean and felt grimy.  There was no laundry available although it was in the listing and there was a $30 fee per load. We specifically rent airbnb with laundry as we travel light and need to wash clothes. Overall, this property has so much potential with its beautiful outdoor setting but the basics are lacking inside the home.

Amazing location with sea waves crashing as a background noise. The infinity pool was definitely a plus. Highly recommended +++++

Echemare is among the most beautiful places we have ever stayed, overlooking the ocean and a short walk from a spectacular beach. It was ideal for our family of 5, with a kitchen that enabled us to make meals and a central outdoor “great room” where we spent hours hanging out, reading, eating, napping, and swimming in the small pool. The beds are comfortable, and we could either sleep with the windows open to hear the ocean or with the A/C on and the curtains drawn for total darkness. The cliff-top deck was especially cool, a memorable spot for watching the sunrise with coffee. Mr Leo was very friendly and helpful. The only small things that arose were the Wi-Fi went down and the grill would not light. We took all of Sabrina’s suggestions, hiking to the Cascada waterfall, driving to Cobano for groceries and to Santa Teresa for dinner and the sunset on Banana Beach. Exploring the area for three days definitely gave us a sense of Pura Vida.

Sorry, but I will be honest. From the good: 1) Great view. 2) Well-maintained garden. From the bad: 1) The house itself is in a disaster. We looked at the overall rating on airbnb and trusted it, but when we arrived we were upset. If you would know that the house is as it is, we didn't choose it. The house needs renovation, to put it mildly. 2) Pool with good view but also very outdated. No backlight. 3) There is nothing in the kitchen. Salt, pepper, oil, flour, some spices, some spices, coffee, sugar, basic things to cook. Forget it. Buy everything. The kitchen is in a deplorable condition. 4) Washer. It is listed in the description, but in fact it is an old semi-automatic locked in the garage. Terrible experience. 5) Leo speaks Spanish and thinks we understand him. Difficult communication and strange communication. 6) Far from everything Be prepared to drive 30-60 minutes to eat. Uncomfortable location. 7) Poor internet. It's a bit expensive for a home like this, even with the view. We were disappointed, so this is our honest review.

Соль, перец, масло, мука, какие-то специи, кофе, сахар, базовые вещи для готовки. Забудьте. покупайте всё. Кухня в плачевном состоянии. 4) Стиральная машина. В описании она указана, но по факту это старый полуавтомат, запертый в гараже. Ужасный опыт. 5) Лео разговаривает на испанском и думает, что мы его понимаем. Тяжелый опыт общения и странная коммуникация. 6) Вдали от всего. Будьте готовы ехать 30-60 минут чтобы поесть. Неудобное расположение. 7) Плохой интернет. Дороговато для такого дома, даже учитывая вид. Мы были расстроены, потому таков наш честный отзыв.

Our stay was an amazing experience for our family. The location and views are breathtaking and some of the best and most peaceful scenery on earth. Spent a month at Sabrina’s place.   You will be blown away by the incredible view.  It gets no better and every morning we woke up to a gorgeous sunrise.   The outdoor living space and the pool were great.   House has rustic charm and pictures are accurate.  Beds were comfy and WiFi was good.  The grounds are well kept and the place is very private.   A fantastic home base for the area.  Leo the local property manager was very responsive and helpful.   You should make sure to rent a car however as you will need it  to visit the local area.

What a magical place! The view is incredible and like other reviewers said, it feels like your own little paradise - there’s monkeys, macaws, beautiful jungle, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is the best. It definitely helps to have a vehicle or ATV to get around and get groceries since it is not close to many things. We will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely stunning, the views on the site don't even do it justice. Macaw parrots came to visit us every day in the palm tree right near the pool. Perfect remote getaway, 5-7 minute downhill walk to a beautiful beach. Leo was there to assist us and provide responsiveness, help set up tours, massages, fishing, and really anything we asked for. It was an absolutely fantastic experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. The only downside is that Tango Mar is fairly remote and about 15 minutes away from any real towns.

I was at home with my 5 month old daughter and my nephews (2 and 5 years old) and my parents. A perfect family trip, the view from the house is spectacular and having a baby was comfortable since we could not go to the beach in the hot hours. The pool is also super nice, with two benches for those who want to have a drink at the edge of the pool overlooking the ocean. At night we would sit on the open terrace to see the boats passing by in the distance. Even with rain, the house is magical and very comfortable to manage rooms with separate income. The beach is also close on foot but it is a path downhill, the sea was very rough. I recommend those who want beaches to swim in other beaches by car.

Estuve en la casa con mi hija de 5 meses y mis sobrinos (2 y 5 años) y mis papás. Un viaje familiar perfecto, la vista desde la casa es espectacular y teniendo un bebé fue comodo ya que no podiamos ir a la playa en las horas calientes. La piscina también es super linda, con dos banquitos para quien quiere tomarse algo al borde de la piscina con vista al mar. En la noche nos sentabamos en la terraza abierta a ver los barcos pasar a lo lejos. Aun con lluvia la casa es mágica y muy cómoda la gestión de los cuartos con ingresos separados. La playa queda cerca también a pie pero es un camino en bajada, el mar muy agitado. Recomiendo quien quiere playas para bañarse visitar otras playas en carro.

Spectacular location on a cliff top overlooking the Pacific Ocean… truly enjoyed the views and the infinity pool. Great outdoor space to hang out… Interior of the house is a bit dated but everything worked. Don’t expect to hang out on the beach though - small, natural beach with lots of driftwood & huge waves… extremely beautiful but not a swimming beach… you’ll need to go to Santa Teresa etc for that. Also - very limited food options (or grocery stores) in Tango Mare and in Playa Tambor in general… prepare to drive 30-45 minutes for decent restaurants .

Spectacular views with great outdoor space for entertainment. Great experience in seeing a lot animals(monkeys, macaws, pelicans, Iguanas, bats, etc) in the backyard!

The view from Echemare is unparalleled! Amazing sunrises and sunsets. You can view the cliffs and the beach from the infinity pool and the balcony, which offers the best lookout point. You can see the ocean from the bed. Perfect breeze all day... The beach access is limited to the people in the compound and a small boutique hotel so I had it practically to myself the whole week. The house could use a few upgrades but the view and the outdoor space is so amazing you won’t mind. I only left yesterday and I can’t wait to be back! Thank you Sabrina and Leonel for the amazing communication and tourist tips!

Great place to stay for groups. The house is beautiful, with plenty of privacy and has everything you need to make your stay cozy. The view is amazing and the proximity to Tango Mar beach is very convenient. Sabrina always responded quickly and accurately and Leonel was very kind to welcome us. We hope to be back soon.

We had a spectacular time. The view, pool outdoor porch and kitchen along with our private nature show of two kinds of monkeys, Scarlett McCaws, peyote, iguanas and other birds. We sat outside day and night except to nap and sleep in our air conditioning. We never needed to use the bug spray we brought. Think of 86 degrees sunny with a constant breeze over looking the Pacific Ocean with your own nature show. We had a visit to Paradise. Leo is one good man, he took us grocery shopping, out for lunch and dinners. He also connected us up with excursions. Quad riding, zip lining, fishing, etc. Leo, his Mom and a cousin also cooked two wonderful meals for us and guided us with recommendations. We feel like we have friends in Costa Rica! If you speak only English hope you have someone that speaks a little Spanish and has a translator on their phone. FYI, the WiFi worked great!

We were in the place! We saw Capuchin monkeys in the courtyard! We had the extraordinary pleasure of photographing several macaws and howler monkeys walking by the golf course . The pool is lovely! We also enjoyed swimming by the sea a 5-minute walk away. The location is amazing and allowed us to admire the sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed having beach towels at our disposal. A small point, would it be possible to allow visitors to choose the degree of air conditioning?

Nous étions au paradis! Nous avons vu des singes capucins dans la cour! Nous avons eu l'extraordinaire plaisir de photographier plusieurs aras et des singes hurleurs en marchant près du golf . La piscine est des plus agréable! Nous avons aussi profiter des baignades à la mer à 5 minutes de marche. L'emplacement est extraordinaire et nous a permis d'admirer les levés et les couchés de soleil. Nous avons apprécié avoir des serviettes de plage à notre disposition. Un petit point, serait-il possible de permettre aux visiteurs de choisir le degré de l'air climatisé?

We had a wonderful stay at Sabrina's villa! The view from the pool overlooking the ocean and the cliffs below is incredible! We also thoroughly enjoyed meals and relaxing on the veranda, and the comfort of the 4 private bedrooms. Further, Sabrina answered all of our questions and made some great local recommendations, specifically a private boat tour of Tortuga island with Chema, who took amazing care of us! The villa is also located within the Tango Mar resort so you're able to access their beach and dine at their restaurant which had delicious food and great service. It's also very accessible to restaurants in Tambor, and a ~20-25 min drive to Montezuma.

Breathtaking view ! Hyper comfy house with 4 bedrooms and bathroom for each. The beach is really close, I recommend the walk on the other side of the hotel along the seashore. Definitely a place where I will go back again with a great pleasure.
