Sunanda

Our family couldn’t have imagined the more perfect paradise than here! The crystal water, the secluded home but the unbelievably amazing family dinners at Au Naturale next door made it unforgettable! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful house, all open, feet in the water with a very nice environment. It's a bit like the luxury version of Robinson Crusoe 😉 It is possible to cook by shopping in Bocas before arriving but I recommend the restaurant Al Natural, a 3-minute walk away, which makes very good meals. Sunanda and Vincent are very good at giving advice and make check-in very easy.

Sunanda is a warm and responsive host who communicated clearly before and during our stay. She met us at the dock, walked us to the grocery store, and shared helpful local tips along the way. She also owns an Indian restaurant in town, and we arranged for a meal to be delivered to the house dock, delicious! The open-air house was an unforgettable experience for our family (ages 9, 12, and 15). We loved hearing the waves and jungle sounds day and night. Because it is open air and rained a lot during our four day stay, our clothes and sheets were damp, but this is to be expected. We were not bothered by the bugs, with only a few bites at night, so the mosquito nets over the beds and fans attached to the headboard definitely help! Lastly, Sunanda’s partner Vincent now lives at the home and is the chef at AL Natural Hotel, just a 3-minute walk away. For an additional charge, guests can join the hotel for a fantastic meal and great conversation with fellow travelers. High recommend!

This place was amazing. Private, beautiful, lots of wildlife! Being able to use the amenities next door was convenient and easy and the people were amazing! Definitely book dinner reservations at the resort as Vincent is not only an amazing host but an extraordinary chef!

This is a beautiful all-wood home for people looking for nature and tranquility. The sound of the jungle and sea is ubiquitous as the house is not completely closed. So mosquitoes and other animals are unavoidable inside too. But this is a great experience. We enjoyed the meals from the Al Natural resort a 3-minute walk away, it was exquisite! Thanks to Sunanda, Michel and Vincent for the organization and hospitality.

We found the place even nicer and more special in real life than in the photos. It is very large and open and very close to the sea - the volume of the waves should not be underestimated at night. We had a very good time and would like to come back! (Since it is very open, you should not be too afraid of insects ;) )

This place is a dream come true!!

We were two families with children. The place is really far from everything, 1 hour from the town by boat. You must bring everything you are going to eat. It's beautiful if you're looking to disconnect from the noise of the city. It's exactly as shown in the photos, the sea is spectacular and the sound of the jungle that is right behind is relaxing. There are many mosquitoes, so bring OFF. The place is magical and highly recommended. A guy named Irving helped us a lot with what we needed, a campfire and coconut water. My only observation is the poor lighting. At night if you return by boat there is no way to see where the house is. In general the house needs more lighting inside, on the dock and outside the house. The kitchen needs an upgrade, I brought everything to cook but I put my friend because I am very disgusting and I can't cook where I am disgusted by something. The kitchen is the only part of the house that is NOT nice. It does not give a clean feeling. As for everything else, excellent. We spent 4 dream days in this place and its

4 night idyllic stay! The place is beautiful and private. The house is very nice and well integrated into nature facing the beach. The pontoon is very nice. The hosts are very friendly, attentive and welcoming. We where enjoying of everything.

Beautiful location, great restaurants nearby, very remote. It felt like camping with beds and a kitchen/bathroom, you could hear the water all around you at night. Really friendly host and staff at the restaurant, they made me a birthday cake when they found out it was my birthday very last minute, sweet. There are definitely mosquitos at night, most of us were fine, but if you are a bit sensitive like some people, you will get bit. There are mosquito nets around the beds though, and little fans. Solar home. Definitely recommend the indigenous village walking tour.

Welcome to paradise, beach accommodation with a magnificent view. The house is very quiet without being isolated, it is a 3-minute walk from the Al Natural restaurant. The house is spacious and very well-equipped, it opens onto the sea, a real pleasure to wake up to this view. Mosquito nets and small bed fans are a real plus. The cuisine that Vincent offers at his restaurant is excellent, fresh and local products perfectly cooked. The atmosphere and the friendliness of sharing a large table is great. Vincent and his team are very nice, every shared moment leaves a great memory. They know their island perfectly, do not hesitate to call on them for activities. Our arrival went perfectly with a great welcome from Sunanda who patiently waited for us and was great. We can only recommend these hosts. Thanks again to all of you for making our stay so perfect. We loved staying at Sunanda’s and Vincent’s Airbnb! Sunanda met us at our boat into Bocas and her warmth immediately made us feel at ease. The house itself is stunning, a lovely space to spend time in. It’s open to the outside, so takes a little getting used to, and visitors need to be prepared for the mosquitoes (nets around beds helped but additional measures also needed) and occasional other creatures! We did a couple of excursions through Al Natural (the resort that the Airbnb is connected to) which were well organised, and we saw lots of wildlife (sloths, red frogs, cayman, monkeys and more). We ate at the resort one evening and also enjoyed excellent cocktails most nights at sunset! Sunanda cooks Indian food and we ordered some one evening which was delivered by boat that day and was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this Airbnb for a unique and special stay.

My friends and I stayed at Sunanda’s Airbnb in Bastimento, Bocas del Toro was nothing short of amazing. Cannot say enough of things about Sunanda and Vincent’s beautiful eco house! It is private, remote, and the views are stunning! We stayed here for a whole week and enjoyed dinners every night at the resort, as well as the arranged excursions. With the open walls and windows, This is definitely more of a rustic stay, so be prepared for natural settings, mosquitos, and friendly nature roommates! 🦎 we loved our time here, and are so happy we picked this wonderful spot with gracious hosts who were so kind to us and our kids!
